They ran like their lives depended on it. Deeper and deeper into the forest, they didn’t even know which direction they were running, what they knew was they needed to get away from the statue.

They were sure that there weren’t any statues before. There was a high chance that they were encountering Mystical phenona, and would likely die if they stuck around. All of them were veterans in this field, they encountered more than enough to know.

Their horses gallop at max speed, the snow seems to be a minor obstacle when one tries to run for their lives. The three beca a blur as the horse ran across the mountain range. At so point, Holen had no choice but to check behind them.

Nothing...

There’s nothing behind them at the mont... Only the snow-covered forest and the horse track. Oven saw that Holen had stopped his horse and quickly did the sa thing. He looks back and heaves a sigh of relief.

"What the hell was that"

Oven didn’t expect anyone to answer that question. Holen didn’t bother either, since he was also in the dark. His best guess was when they opened the box, they had activated so kind of mystic power.

But they couldn’t be sure, to begin with, they were not a mystic.

"Scary ass fucking statue.."

Jell said with a hushed tone, trying to not attach the statue... if the thing could hear them. However, it would still be useless considering Holen and Oven voiced earlier.

"Where’s Yuhan?"

Jell’s voice sounded like a thundering roar inside everyone’s mind. They quickly looked around and found that Yhan was missing. Looking at the snow, they could only see three horse tracks instead of four.

The whole forest felt very eerie after seeing that one other knight was not there.

"We needed to go and look for him!"

Jell said with a worried voice, for Kansas, they just glossed over his disappearance because that guy was not very prudent. However, with Yuhan clearly missing right beside them, it’s very worrying... No, it’s outright scary.

Holen weighs his options and he only likes one. After a close encounter with a demon back in Tumidus, he promised himself that he would stay clear. However, he couldn’t, after all, he was chasing a guy with a strong connection to mystic.

"We need to get out..."

Holen voiced his command, but it wasn’t a solid one. He was abandoning one of the knights that they had known for a long ti.

"Holen you fucker! Yuhan had been with you longer than !!"

Jell almost jumped from his horse to punch Holen but he could stop his hand in ti. Holen felt horrible, but he had to make a decision here. Either they go look for potential danger or they get out of here.

He chose the latter, not only because he feared for his life but because it seed like a better decision of the two. However, Oven also didn’t agree with that decision.

"We look for him, I refuse to lose him, Holen"

It doesn’t sound like anger but a voice of concern. Holen looked into Oven’s eyes and gritted his teeth.

"Fine! But if we see the statue we will abandon this place imdiately"

"Sure"

Oven didn’t have much to say, it’s the bet he could do for his fried. They began turning back and facing the dim forest.

Oven’s horse leads the way, followed by Jell’s horse and Holen. They go in a triangle formation, each person covering a hundred and eighty-degree angle. They didn’t want a statue to sneak up on them.

After ten minutes of walking, they couldn’t find anything. They only found the tace of themself. Yuhan was nowhere to be seen.

"I don’t think we will find him."

Holen said, his mind focused on the surroundings, trying his hired knight to look out for him in another direction. Keeping track of how many horse footsteps he heard. After one of them had already been snatched running just a re foot beside them. That ans that the statue had so weird power or they were pretty fast.

He could only hope it was the forr because they would already be dead.

"Just, give ten more minutes..."

Oven said with a dreadful voice, he was sure that his friend was no longer with them, even though Kansas was properly dead already. However just when he was about to give up, he spotted sothing.

In the distance, he saw a figure behind a tree.

"Yuhan!"

Oven scread out and rushed to see the figure behind the tree. Holen and Jell were right behind him.

"What.!!!"

Oven was horrified, what he saw was indeed Yuhan, but his whole body had been turned into stone.

"We need to get out of here!"

Holen quickly reinforced his order when eh aw Yhan, this sight here was sure to frighten Oven. The knights were both horrified and furious at the sa ti.

The oven was very much furious but, he quickly snapped back to reality. This was not the ti to wait around, the thing that turned him to stone might still be here. With that in mind, they started running again.

However, Oven’s horse abruptly ca to a halt and collapsed, and his face swiftly touched the earth. Jell turned around as he heard the noise. A hand protruded from the ground and seized Oven’s horse.

"Fuck fuck fuck!"

At that point, all Oven could feel was terror, and he began to question his decision. However, before the projecting hand could accomplish anything, Holen seized Oven’s armor and swung the huge guy over with all his effort.

The amount of force that Holen was able to exert astounded the knight.

"Don’t look at , I’m surprise myself"

They quickly left the area with only two horses left.

"Fuck...."

Oven hope shattered like a piece of glass, Yuhan’s stone body flashed in his mind as he looked back at where they ran from. His eyes widened when he saw that three’s three statues pointing at them.
