Chapter 28: Deserved Break
It was now Saturday, the exams were over and we would back to class on Monday, yet here I was on a weekend at 7am infront of a notebook.
Of course it wasn't to study, after all I didn't need to, but because I needed to review about many things that had been bugging
But here is so good news once a while: there are no arcs for the following three weeks, YAHOO!
I was now free and could take a deserved break.
But three weeks also ant the ti I would need to give my response to the council, if I refused they would probably hunt down...
Other than that, I think i'm doing pretty fine, I an it's only the first arcs and the real stuff only happens later on, yet it was still so exhausting.
"Hatred system..." I mumbled the na of the thing that had been helping .
As soon as I said those words, a window interface appeared before my eyes.

This surprised but I guess I had never tried to begin with...
"Yawn..." I guess i'm still pretty tired, i'll just go back to sleep for now and figure out a solution for all of this later on...
And so without paying much attention to my surroundings, I climbed onto my bed and slept almost instantly.

"KYAAAA~"
I heard a scream in the distance, then I was pushed out of my bed.
"Ouch" this woke up and I found myself on the ground, "what happened?" I said while scratching my head and getting up.
"Y-you pervert! W-why are you in my bed?" Mina replied while blushing.
"Huh? Your bed...?" I looked in the other direction and there it was, my bed was infront of my eyes, which ant I had actually gotten onto Mina's bed by accident...
"D-did you perhaps try to do s-sothing to b-because you like ?" she was stuttering, probably from anger.
"Not at all! It was an accident because I was tired, sorry" I bowed to show my sincerity.
"O-oh..." I lifted my head and saw that the elf had a disappointed look on her face, I really can't understand her...

But of course, getting a perfect score ant more people approached to discuss joining their teams or helping them.
Again I refused and they looked angry, co on people, we are all background characters, we should just focus on surviving!
As the weeks passed, the council beca more and more agressive though.
At first they weren't interacting with at all, but once the news spread that soone got 600/600, they started appearing close to out of nowhere.
It was always Zack, the strategist of the council, who tried to close the distance between us.
During the second week, he actively tried to hold conversations with but I ignored him or just told him that I was thinking about it.
Frankly, I don't really care for now, I would only need to make a decision after the "excursion arc", and if it really ca to it, then I would have to hold my ground and fight.
I know I probably have no chance of winning even with an anger ter of 100/100, but if I went as far as to fight them, they would realize that I really don't wanna be associated with them right?
And so the third week arrived, and it was the last one before the excursion arc.
I was currently walking through the hallway towards the cafeteria to eat lunch with Mina.
"Hey Kaine!" I heard a voice call out to , it was Zack.
"What do you want?" I replied coldly.
"You know, the council is still waiting for your answer, we can't wait forever" he said while smiling, but not in a friendly way.
"I already told you, I'll think about it" I turned around and walked away, "plus I still have a week before giving my response."
"Yeah, but we can't wait that long, we need to know now" he insisted, but this ti in a harsh tone while looking down on .
"I don't care, leave alone" I replied and left him behind.
I wonder what will happen next...

Friday, In class, 13:38PM
Ms.Lana after finishing class held us off for a mont because she had an "important announcent" to make.
"As you all know, the practical and theory exams were three weeks ago, and as a prestigious school, we felt like we needed to reward our students for their hardwork" the elf started speaking, "and so with the agreent of the chairman, we have decided to hold an excursion to..."
So boring place created just for the sake of having the main character kill so strong monster and save a heroine while unlocking a new power.
"The Freesia Museum!" she shouted excitedly.
The classroom exploded at these words, honestly people in my past life found museums quite boring yet these people were so excited at the idea of seing objects that it was depressing.
"SERIOUSLY?
"Are we gonna be able to so magic relics?"
"Oh! And the legendary sword Excadia?"
Ms.Lana laughed a bit before answering, "yes, you will be able to freely visit the museum for the entire day, it was reserved specially for us."
"When is it?" Mina shouted, she looked extrely joyful too.
"In four days, basically Tuesday of this upcoming week" the teacher smiled.

After class, I was heading back to the dorm with Mina when suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder.
"Hey Kaine, can we talk?" it was Zack.
"Oh co, what now?" I replied.
"I'll be straight forward, we need your answer" he said with a serious expression.
"I told you, I'll think about it" I shrugged.
"No, you will tell now, or else..." he put his hand on my shoulder and squeezed it.
I shook it off, "i'll give my answer after the excursion."
"Excursion?"
"Yep, we're going to so museum and everyone is excited and blah blah" I explained while rolling my eyes.
"Museum huh..." he mumbled sothing to himself, "fine, I'll let you go for now, but rember, this is the last warning we'll give you, on wednesday you have to give us an answer."
"Yeah yeah" I waved my hand and walked away.
"That guy is annoying" I thought.
But I was wrong, he was more than just annoying, he was dangerous.
If I was the main character, I would of already sent him flying using my plot armor.
