"Origin Trait."
",…?"
"Origin Trait is an invention of Ultris. That is the source of Traits, evolution and everything he has created."
Naless Death frowned and looked towards the demon then at Zagreus.
"You guys know Ultris too?"
"We don't," the demon shook his head. "However, an Origin Trait is sothing we do know. It was… quite an invention. The very fact that Origin Trait allowed mortals to fight Gods should be enough to tell you how ridiculously powerful Origin Trait was."
Naless Death nodded.
From what he understood, in the beginning the only Path of Ascension was Path of Elentals/Godhood.
Later, Ultris created the Path of Awakeners.
His Path, while strong, was not ant to overshadow Path of Godhood. Instead, it was a 'crutch'.
It was a helping stick for the mortals, who wished to be as strong as Gods for whatever reasons they had.
This crutch didn't allow them to defeat Gods – no mortal (Awakener) could kill a God – but they could fight them and preserve their life.
"This reminds , why can you kill Gods despite not being a God?" Naless Death asked Zagreus.
"We will talk about it later," Zagreus said as he waved his hand.
He jumped down from the chair.
"Let's start building a Womb Of Devil for you."
"Okay, so how do we start?"
"I will forge it and help you train by fighting with you. You just need to sit and follow my instructions."
"You will forge the Womb of Devil?"
Naless Death frowned.
"Actually, can I do it myself?"
"…do what?" Zagreus asked, already feeling an ominous premonition.
"Forge the Womb of the Devil."
"Do you know blacksmithing?"
"No, but I can learn. The blueprints are on—"
"Sigh," Zagreus rubbed his face with his palms, then muttered. "I see. I guess I now know how infuriating I feel to others."
He was looking at the ceiling with a deadpan gaze as if wishing the ceiling could fall and end everything already.
The demon ignored his antics and looked at Naless Death.
"Why do you want to do it yourself? Is there a reason?"
"I want to forge my Path of Power. The Womb of the Devil will be my Path of Power. So I want to build it myself."
"…huh?" Zagreus snapped his head towards him. "You are a Heavenbreaker?"
"Yes? Why are you—"
"You used Elentals. You, how…"
Zagreus opened his mouth and closed it repeatedly, unable to understand how Naless Death could walk on multiple Paths despite being a Heavenbreaker.
He looked at the demon for answers.
"Don't look at like that. I barely know anything about Heavenbreakers. I never t any of them," the demon raised his tentacles in surrender.
While both Zagreus and the demon were unaware how the powers of Heavenbreakers worked, they were pretty sure Heavenbreakers could not walk on multiple paths.
Zagreus could only put the topic behind him and focus on what he understood.
"Got it. You should forge it yourself," he said. "Actually, start learning the blueprints on the walls have basic knowledge of Womb of Devil now. As for forging, this guy will teach you."
"Yes, I can do it," the demon replied. "I have plenty of experience in forging. And I dare say, my knowledge is on par with the dwarves of Iltanea Empire."
After they made the decision, everyone got to work.
Naless Death began to learn forging under the instructions of the demon.
Zagreus left to find the materials for the Womb of Devil.
Twenty years passed in this manner, and Zagreus had found most materials except a few.
"We are missing the Titanium-branch Elental tal," Zagreus said as he drank tea with the demon while Naless Death was hamring away on the forge.
The hamrs of the dwarves were comically large for him, and so were the other equipnts.
He could've made a smaller version by devouring them and learning their structure, but Zagreus told him that he should train properly before he tried to take an easy way out.
Simply put, he wanted Naless Death to use telekinesis to handle the equipnts.
Naless Death complained that Zagreus had no right to teach him about how to 'not' take an easy way out, but Zagreus countered by saying that since Naless Death had preached walking on the hard path to reach success he should do it right now too.
"So where are you going to get the last tal from?" the demon asked.
"I was planning on taking down a level 9 monster, and have Naless devour it so that he can get the elental tal affinity and create it himself."
"I don't think that's going to work. For one, Naless wouldn't devour any monster given the conditions he gave. Secondly, even you can't defeat a Level 9 monster unless you take more of your future strength."
"I already have a plan to make him devour the monsters."
"And what might that be?"
"I already have the Roosterpigeon monsters spread the news that he is a Heavenbreaker."
"Huh?" the demon blinked, hoping he had heard it wrong. "Roosterpigeon monsters?"
"Yeah, those loud guys are a good way of spreading news all over the Jungle of Red Silence."
Now that almost every monster knew Naless Death was a Heavenbreaker, they would do anything to kill him, and receive a Legendary title in return.
Fortunately, they didn't know his location yet,
But Zagreus could leak the location to a selected group of monsters, and when they ca to kill Naless, Zagreus would kill them instead.
"Wouldn't Naless Death say that you provoked those monsters?"
"I never provoked them," Zagreus said with a righteous expression. "I neither attacked them in na of Naless Death and then made them co after Naless for vengeance, nor did I pay them to attack Naless.
"I only shared the good news of my friend Naless being a Heavenbreaker.
"How could I have known that the monsters, those filthy, greedy beings, would now want to attack him for a Legendary Title?"
The demon stared at Zagreus, wondering if he was actually a demon in disguise.
Finally, he shook his head and sighed.
"Still, the second problem stands. You can't defeat a Level 9 monster."
"I can borrow strength from my future."
"You shouldn't do that anymore, Zagreus. Or you will be crippled for millions of years."
Taking the strength from future was not as simple as it sounded.
For example, you took your future strength at 1 pm.
The amount of strength you took from the future was what you would have gained normally by training from 3 pm to 9 pm.
Now, unless you trained for 6 hours, and with the sa intensity as you normally would, you will not gain any strength.
Only after wasting six hours, would your training start to show effect.
For Zagreus, who was Grade 5 Level 8, he would need to train for a million years before he could gain even an ounce of strength.
"How about you ask the Grim Reapers for help?" the demon suggested.
Voraka Site was covered in Chaos elentals. It happened because the Berserker was using a dium to manifest his World in here.
The strength of the dium determined the strength of the elentals.
Since this World was created by Chaos elentals, it ant Voraka Site was a World of Death.
And Grim Reapers of Earth could act in a location like this.
"I already told you I'm not going to ask for their help."
"Yes, I rember you said you didn't feel like asking for help since it reduces your authority by asking for help from people who serve you. But does that matter anymore? You are taking the help of Naless anyway."
Zagreus didn't answer imdiately.
He stared at Naless, who was hamring on the tal, with a silent gaze.
'Zagreus,' the demon's voice echoed inside his head. 'I don't know why you are helping Naless so much. You are going as far as making it look like you need help while you are in truth doing the opposite. If you want to help him so much why are you being embarrassed to use Grim Reapers for your choice? They would be happy to serve you.'
Zagreus frowned.
In truth, Naless gave him the feeling that he was Zagreus' little brother.
The only reason Zagreus was confused was because Naless didn't have the Blessing, and the shape of his soul was different.
Looking at it from this angle, it was clear Naless was not Zagreus' brother, but Zagreus couldn't shake off the feeling.
It was why he was going out of his way to help Naless.
"Alright, I will call the Grim Reapers."
Zagreus opened his palm.
The Grim Reaper disciple badge manifested in his hand.
Before he activated it, the demon spoke again, "We might be in future or past. Make sure you don't ask them about their present, or history if we are in future. And don't tell them about future, if we are in the past."
"Yeah, yeah, I know."
"You should. Dealing with tiline paradoxes is always a headache. I hope you don't trigger them."
Zagreus nodded and he called out to Naless.
"Hey, little shit, stop hamring for a second and co here."
At the sa ti another thought popped up in Zagreus' head, 'The Grim Reapers should be able to tell if he is my brother or not.'
Unaware of his thoughts Naless Death ca towards him.
He wiped his sweat with a towel, and asked, "What is it?"
"I'm going to call so guys here. Greet them properly, little shit," said Zagreus.
He activated the Grim Reaper disciple badge.
"Gremory, can you hear ?"
There was a short silence before a response ca back. "First prince? How is this possible? You shouldn't be—"
"I'm in a Shadow Trial."
"Oh," the voice replied. "I'm s-sorry for not realizing sothing so simple earli—eiik!"
Zagreus shook his head when he heard the noise. Knowing Gremory, she definitely bit her tongue.
