Fenric stared at the floating blue screen behind him.

"A Player System... like an RPG nu?" he asked.

"Yes," the Supre Dragon nodded. "Status, levels, skills... all of it. You will understand it easily."

Fenric grinned. This really was an Isekai.

The dragon raised one huge claw. A red light shot from its scales and sank into Fenric’s chest. He gasped as warmth spread through his body.

"Gift two," the dragon said.

"A Dragon Talent. A special ability that will grow stronger as you grow stronger. For now, your body can only handle the first part."

Fenric touched his chest. His heart beat faster — stronger than before.

"And the last gift..." the dragon continued.

Golden particles appeared in the air, forming hundreds of floating cards. They surrounded Fenric in a big circle, each card glowing with power.

"These cards show my old talents," the dragon said. "Each card has a different talent I once used. You may choose only one."

Fenric looked around, amazed.

"So many... You were seriously overpowered."

He laughed nervously. "No wonder you were called ’Supre.’"

The dragon simply said, "Choose. The card that is ant for you will respond."

Fenric reached toward the cards. Before he even got close, one card shot forward by itself.

It stopped right in his hand.

The golden glow beca brighter than all the others.

Even the Supre Dragon looked surprised.

"Well," the dragon said slowly, "let us see what luck has chosen for you."

Fenric turned the card over.

New words appeared:

[Monarch of Gold]

Fenric blinked.

"Uh... what does that do?"

The Supre Dragon smiled a little.

"That talent controls value and power related to gold. It is rare. Very rare. From now on, your destiny is tied to treasure and wealth. If you want to learn more... just check your System when you wake up."

Before Fenric could ask anything else, the card dissolved into light and entered his body.

A strong shock went through him — he nearly fell.

The cosmic world around him faded.

The dragon’s voice echoed:

"Use your luck well. Survive."

Fenric’s eyes snapped open—

He was back in the sa wooden hut.

Outside, the Kraken roared.

The whole hut shook like it might collapse any second.

Fenric swallowed hard.

"I don’t know if I should be happy I got an isekai wish... or sad because a deadly Kraken is right outside," he muttered.

He sat up straight, took a deep breath.

"Okay... let’s try this."

He spoke clearly:

"Status?"

A soft chi rang through the air.

DING!

A transparent blue window popped up in front of Fenric:

BOOM!

The hut shook again. Dust fell from the ceiling.

A giant shadow moved outside.

THUD... THUD... KRAAAAAAAAA!!!

Fenric’s eyes widened.

"Yeah, uh... Beginner Punch isn’t gonna help against THAT!"

Another window suddenly popped up:

DING!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fenric stared.

"...I imdiately regret being excited about Isekai."

He quickly scanned the room for anything usable — a stick, a weapon, armor, ANYTHING.

Nothing.

The Kraken’s massive tentacle smashed against the hut.

Fenric scread:

"I AM LEVEL 1!!! THIS IS ILLEGAL!!!"

DING!

Another notification:

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Hint from System:

Run.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fenric didn’t need to be told twice.

He bolted for the door—

Only to find it blocked by a slim figure with a glowing spear.

A girl around his age stood there, wearing tight leather armor, wind swirling around her boots. Her green eyes locked onto him.

"Are you the outsider?" she asked sharply.

Fenric froze.

"Uh... Do you an the handso and totally not terrified guy? Because then yes."

She sighed.

"We don’t have ti. Stay behind if you want to live."

She spun the spear, magic wind forming a barrier.

Fenric raised his hand.

"...I also have Beginner Punch."

She stared at him like he was the dumbest person alive.

The Kraken roared again.

"Do you have any idea how we’re supposed to survive this?!" Fenric shouted over the quaking ground.

The girl didn’t even flinch.

She smirked — confidently.

"Yes. The village chief will handle the Kraken," she said, eyes locked on the monster outside. "He’s away right now, but it will take him approximately ten minutes to reach us."

Fenric blinked.

"Ten minutes?"

"Yes."

Fenric slowly turned his head...

His System notification still hovering:

Survive for 10 minutes

His eye twitched.

"So that’s why the quest is ten minutes! The System literally knew the chief would show up!"

The girl didn’t have ti to question his rambling.

BOOOOOM

A massive tentacle smashed through a nearby building — splinters exploded everywhere.

Screams filled the air as villagers fought desperately — archers firing arrows, warriors hacking smaller tentacles that whipped through the streets.

And towering above it all—

A colossal black octopus, its skin like tar-covered armor.

Three massive eyes — yellow sclera, blood-red irises — glowing with hunger.

Each eye focused on the village.

Fenric’s jaw dropped.

"...That is NOT a normal Kraken. That’s like... a boss raid Kraken!"

A tentacle lashed toward them—

The girl stomped forward.

"Windbreaker Guard!"

A barrier of swirling air slamd into the tentacle, diverting it — cutting deep into the flesh.

The Kraken shrieked, furious.

Fenric stared at her in awe.

"That was aweso! Teach that!"

"You can barely stand upright while screaming," she shot back. "You’d die mid-lesson."

Fair point.

Another System ping appeared:
