Green Mor Forest.

It’s a rather inconspicuous forest located among the mountains. Its na is in the native language, and almost no one knows what it ans. Tall arborvitaes stand in abundance here, with lush foliage forming a massive canopy, shielding the forest from prying eyes above, making the forest an independent kingdom.

"Crack! Bang!"

With the sound of breaking branches, Richard fell from the sky, landing heavily on the forest floor.

Looking up, Richard scanned his surroundings briefly. Without any hesitation, he stepped forward and dashed towards the depths of the forest, searching for Long i’er.

After dashing a few hundred ters, he noticed signs on the forest floor of scorched and frozen areas from spells. His heart stirred, and he increased his speed, moving even faster into the forest depths.

A few minutes later, while advancing, an explosion sounded from the side with a "boom".

Strong winds howled through nurous trees, making the branches rustle.

"Pop!"

Richard stopped, glanced at the source of the sound, adjusted his direction, and continued moving forward.

After moving a hundred ters, a dense sll of blood reached him.

After two hundred ters, he saw the forest floor covered with the corpses of many wild beasts, almost piled into small hills. Many of the beast corpses had bizarre shapes, including two-headed and three-eyed ones.

Could they all be strange species... a thought flashed through his mind.

After three hundred ters, the sll of blood beca even stronger, making the air seem like it had turned liquid, and the blood almost flooding his nasal passages. The dense sll of iron rust perated every corner.

Richard furrowed his brows deeply. Upon reaching this point, he noticed that the number of beast corpses on the floor was actually decreasing. However, judging from their size and appearance, despite the decrease in number, their strength was gradually increasing.

He silently heightened his vigilance in his heart. Although he wanted to see Long i’er, he didn’t want to accidentally fall into danger.

Dealing with a few short-lived strange species was manageable, but if a longevity exotic species appeared, one not weaker than the ancient tree species Ximu, it would be trouble.

Thinking this, he continued forward. After passing through a dense cluster of trees, the view opened up to a clearing.

A battle was taking place in the clearing. On one side was a vague figure in a golden robe, and on the other, a two-ter tall demonized giant wolf. The demonized giant wolf was evidently a strange species, and unsurprisingly a longevity exotic species. He could clearly sense that the aura emitted by the opponent was sowhat similar to that of the ancient tree species Ximu, despite lacking so of the ancient aura, it possessed a lot of brutality. Its strength was likely formidable.

Yet, even with such strength, the demonic wolf was being suppressed by the golden figure.

Richard stepped onto the clearing, the battle nearing its end, and watched as a silver flash appeared in the figure’s hand, swiftly leaping up and delivering a powerful chop to the demonized giant wolf’s neck.

"Crack!"

The demonized giant wolf’s body trembled violently, letting out a howl, then collapsed like a toppled mountain with a heavy thud. Blood spurted out from its seven orifices as if being squeezed, its body twitched several tis before becoming still. The strong, brutal aura it emitted dissipated, becoming a dead object.

Richard pursed his lips and looked at the standing figure.

The figure sensed this and turned around, revealing Long i’er’s face.

Long i’er had a slightly puzzled expression, raising an eyebrow and asking, "Hmm? Wizard Richard, what are you doing here?"

Upon hearing Long i’er’s words, Richard’s mind turned.

He deduced from Long i’er’s words that the other party did not know he was looking for him.

This dispelled one of his concerns: Canon indeed did not know Long i’er’s exact location, and the previous directions given were not ant to deliberately stall him. Thus, Long i’er was not intentionally avoiding him.

This was a good thing.

After figuring these out, Richard exhaled slowly in his mind. He composed himself, looked at Long i’er, and without beating around the bush, got straight to the point, "Supervisor Long i’er, I am here specifically to find you to ask you a question."

"A question? What question?"

"I want to confirm if there exists a third book for the ’Void Book’? That is to say, besides the upper and lower parts, is there a final part?" Richard asked aloud.

Upon hearing this, Long i’er slightly raised an eyebrow and said, "Indeed, you’ve noticed sothing wrong with your research, you’re sure you’re on the wrong path."

"Supervisor, you haven’t answered my question yet."

"Alright." Long i’er raised a hand slightly and replied softly, "You’re right, the ’Void Book’ does indeed have a third book, which is the final and most critical part."

"In that case, I’m not on the wrong path." Richard’s expression cald, "As long as I have this third book, I am confident in solving all the current research problems and completing everything."

He paused for a mont, looked earnestly at Long i’er, and asked, "I want to know, what price do I have to pay this ti to obtain this third book?"

Hearing this, Long i’er gazed at him deeply, not answering imdiately, instead shaking his head and sighing, "Wizard Richard, do you know, you’re really disappointing right now."

"Hmm?"

"You asked what price to pay to get the third ’Void Book’? My answer is, no matter what price you pay, you can’t get it," Long i’er said.

"Why?" Richard asked, furrowing his brow.

"Because it’s not a matter of how much you pay, but an issue of attitude. The organization helps its mbers progress not to gain benefits from them, but to help its mbers grow.

After all, the organization possesses unimaginably vast wealth and heritage, lacking nothing, and does not need you to pay anything. The reason for making you pay previously was to prove that you were worth the organization’s investnt.

But this ti is different. Previously, for your research, I made the organization break the rules multiple tis. I did so only hoping you could gain a deeper understanding of what you’re researching, realize the issues within, and understand that you’re on the wrong path to abandon it tily, not to let you continue down the wrong path.

It seems now that you still haven’t truly realized this, truly wanting to persist in the error to the end. Then, I can only personally intervene to stop you. This is a red line, no matter how you perford before, it stops here and cannot be crossed—you absolutely cannot obtain the third ’Void Book’."

Richard furrowed his brows tightly. To tell the truth, Long i’er’s response surprised him.
