Capítulo 906: Chapter 904: The Lost Rabbit

“Whoosh whoosh…”

The Wind Blade crashed into the Shield, screeching as it disintegrated, and after a few seconds, tranquility returned.

Everyone breathed a slight sigh of relief, preparing to cast spells in retaliation against the hidden enemies around them, when suddenly the ground beneath their feet cracked open, and several vines erged, swiftly grabbing the nearest wizard, forcibly dragging them underground.

Then ca a “boom,” accompanied by blinding lightning, and nurous thick arcs of electricity fell towards the center of the field.

A fierce wind arose, trees swayed, large clouds obscured the moon, plunging the forest into darkness, and countless eerie howls echoed from all directions, making the entire world seem filled with foes.

This!

The wizards’ faces changed dramatically, realizing the situation was more severe than they had imagined.

Ten minutes later.

With a sound of “whoosh,” Goda returned to the clearing in the forest, his clothes slightly damaged, holding a lump of flesh and shouting, “Look what I’ve got?!”

But no one responded to him; his forr team mbers were now nine indistinguishable corpses, twisted and lying on the ground.

Seeing this, Goda’s hand went slack, and the flesh he held fell to the ground with a “thud.”

His expression stiffened, he blinked his eyes as he realized, and scratched his head, saying, “Damn, so we fell into a trap? They intentionally lured away; the real attack was here. So what I found isn’t the truth, just a disguise. What is the real truth… Ah!”

As he spoke halfway, Goda let out a scream.

He saw the soil where he was standing split open, and a black vine, like a python, shot out silently. It pierced into his body from below, through his entire body, then erged from one side of his shoulder.

This dealt a heavy blow to Goda.

“Ahhh!”

Goda kept screaming, the muscles on his face twisted, partly in pain and partly in anger.

The black vine, however, ignored these emotions. After skewering Goda, it constantly swung, with energy waves flashing on its surface, quickly damaging Goda’s internal organs until he was silent. Only then did it stop, as if tossing away trash, it flung Goda aside.

“Bang!”

Goda’s body hit the ground, rolling a few tis before stopping, motionless.

However, the hidden enemies were not convinced that Goda was dead, and soon, the ground near him cracked open again, revealing a dark red vine.

The tip of the dark red vine split open and bore beast-like fangs, slowly approaching Goda, preparing to devour him.

As the dark red vine touched Goda, he suddenly sprang up, his hands clamping the upper part of the vine like iron hoops. Exerting force fiercely, with a “crack,” the vine was snapped.

“Hiss hiss!”

The broken vine let out strange sounds, twisting as if alive, squirting copious mucus from the fracture, struggling for a while before falling to the ground with a “bang,” motionless.

The distant black vine imdiately beca alert, and the surroundings of the forest sounded nurous eerie howls, as if thousands of troops were encircling Goda.

Goda looked around, pressing one hand against his pierced wound, squatting slowly, and gritting his teeth as he said, “You want to kill ? Hmph, what a pity, you are too weak. Just wait, when I return, I’ll destroy you all! I swear, definitely!”

As his words fell, Goda’s entire body ignited with fierce flas, and like a teor he soared into the sky, crashing through countless trees, and heading out of the forest.

The forest was silent for a mont, then boiled.

“Hiss hiss hiss hiss…”

“Roar roar roar roar…”

All sorts of sounds erupted continuously as the hidden attackers frantically pursued Goda…

But in the end, the teor that Goda had beco successfully escaped the forest.

In the grass at the forest edge, pairs of eyes glinted with venomous gaze, watching Goda depart.

Delan Branch, underground base.

With a creak, the office door was pushed open, and Steward Canon walked in.

He had just personally dealt with a rather thorny issue, even encountering a battle during the process. Though unscathed, he was quite exhausted.

In his mind, resting well now would be the best option.

But he couldn’t.

Because many matters today remained unresolved.

“Sigh—”

Canon sighed, shook his head, sat behind his desk, and began reviewing docunts with a quill.

“Scratch scratch scratch…”

After reviewing for a few minutes, Canon suddenly stopped, furrowing his brow as he glanced around, revealing a strange expression, feeling that sothing was missing.

Missing what?

After a tenth of a second of deliberation, Canon’s eyes widened, realizing.

His pet rabbit was missing!

“Swish!”

Canon stood up, surveying the entire office, discovering that the Demonized Rabbit, which had always been in his office, had mysteriously vanished.

How could this be?

A bit incredulous, Canon waved his hand and cast a Lighting Spell.

“Fssss! Bang!”

An apple-sized milk white orb of light rose into the air, exploding suddenly, illuminating every corner of the office, but there was no shadow of a rabbit.

Canon froze, sitting back in his chair, his thoughts sluggish, almost unable to think.

What on earth was going on?

His pet rabbit had never left the room since he brought it here, so how could it suddenly disappear?

Just as Canon was perplexed, with a creak, the office door opened again, and Supervisor Long i’er entered, his face somber, holding Canon’s “lost” pet rabbit in his arms.

Canon froze, only reacting to give up his seat to Long i’er when he reached him.

“Supervisor, you…” Canon opened his mouth to say sothing, but was interrupted by Long i’er, who wore an icy expression.

“I received a new report just now; Hall Orcs Branch is yet again experiencing issues, still centered around that forest. Two core mbers of Third-level Wizard level led a group of ten, and only one erged severely injured.

Now Hall Orcs Branch has raised the forest’s danger level to Level 7, reaching a point warranting serious attention. I’ve decided that a few of your branches must further support Hall Orcs, even if it’s just alleviating the forest’s expansion issues. So temporarily, dispatch two squads over there to help Hall Orcs Branch with defense.”

Canon couldn’t help but furrow his brows; last ti dispatching one squad was already reluctant, and now they wanted two? But seeing Long i’er, his expression, Canon dared not refuse.

“Yes,” Canon said.

“Good,” Long i’er nodded at Canon’s affirmative response, then asked, “What’s going on with Richard from your branch lately?”

Canon’s expression suddenly beca complex regarding “Wizard Richard”…
