Chapter 616: Chapter 614 Tu Ke Enters the Scene
In the night.
At the edge of the battlefield, Tu Ke, towering over two ters tall with his arms folded across his chest, stood like a Black Iron tower on top of a Stone Building in Deep Blue Castle. He looked down upon the entire battlefield, capturing all the details in his gaze.
After observing for a while, a slight look of satisfaction appeared on Tu Ke’s face.
Although the battlefield still looked chaotic, even more so than before, because of the desperate resistance of many wizards, Black Robed n and wizards were mixed fighting in every corner, like a pot of boiling porridge. However, in Tu Ke’s eyes, everything was clear. Nurous Black Robed n were continuously surrounding and snuffing out the resisting wizards, putting out the sparks of resistance, and the situation was progressing as planned, everything under control.
He slightly lifted his head and glanced at the sky, where a large star slowly rose in the eastern night, signaling that dawn was not far off.
In a few more hours, it ought to be ti to wrap things up.
With this thought in his mind, Tu Ke looked back at the battlefield when suddenly his brows furrowed; in one corner of the battlefield, where everything had been progressing smoothly, a disturbance suddenly erupted.
What’s this?
Puzzled, with a thought, Tu Ke’s eyes lit up like candles, shooting out beams of light a foot long toward the source of the disturbance.
His eyes flickered, zooming in on the scene until it was almost before his eyes. Tu Ke saw a young man wielding a strangely shaped weapon, launching an attack on many of his subordinates.
His powerful subordinates, who could easily massacre many wizards, were now utterly helpless against the young man. In just a few encounters, they were slaughtered haphazardly, scattering in all directions in utter disarray.
Instead of seizing the opportunity to break through, the young man chased down the fleeing n and continued his assault, causing an even larger disturbance.
This…
Tu Ke blinked, his sight returning to normal as his brow furrowed deeply.
Just then, a series of hurried footsteps approached.
“Tap tap tap, tap tap tap…”
Turning his head, Tu Ke saw a skinny subordinate approaching. The man was nad Folin, who quickly reported, “Captain, there has been an unexpected developnt. At the southwest corner of the battlefield, one target’s strength has exceeded our expectations, many team mbers have been killed or severely injured, and a gap has appeared in the encirclent. We must stop him.”
“I saw it myself without needing your report,” Tu Ke said.
“So, Captain, what should we do?” Folin asked.
“Send the third group to handle it,” Tu Ke ordered.
“Yes,” Folin nodded and quickly went to arrange it.
After Folin left, Tu Ke turned his attention back to the area of disturbance, and soon saw the third group arriving at the scene, launching an attack on the troubleso target.
At that mont, Tu Ke had great confidence in the third group. He was certain they could handle the target, as it included several of his competent subordinates who mastered many special spells. Not to ntion a re human, even so extinct Strange Species could be killed.
Thinking this, Tu Ke let out a cold laugh.
Then…
His cold laugh lasted for a little over half a minute, precisely thirty-seven seconds.
Thirty-seven seconds later, Tu Ke’s eyes contracted, his expression stiffened, showing anger as he exclaid, “How… How is this possible?”
Possible or not, Folin appeared again, glancing at Tu Ke and said, “Captain, the third group has been completely wiped out, what now…”
“Phew…”
Tu Ke took a deep breath, knowing he couldn’t lose his composure at this ti. He composed himself and then said, “If that’s the case, then let’s move Squad Nine over there. They must deal with the opponent!”
“Squad Nine?” Folin was slightly surprised. “Captain, are you sure? Squad Nine is currently responsible for the most critical battlefield area. Although they are strong, once they are moved, our advantage on the battlefield will not be maintained. What if it triggers a chain reaction…”
“You don’t need to tell ; I am well aware,” Tu Ke said. “However, the disturbance must be controlled, or it will lead to unpredictable consequences. Moving Squad Nine indeed has its risks, but these risks are manageable. As long as Squad Nine acts quickly, the risk can be minimized.”
“I understand. I’ll notify them imdiately.”
“Good.”
Folin quickly left.
Soon, Tu Ke saw the Squad Nine that Folin had alerted in his sight, appearing around the target and unapologetically launching their attack.
“This ti, see if you can survive,” Tu Ke sneered with a sowhat fierce expression.
Then…
His cold smile lasted a bit longer than last ti, nearly a minute, to be precise, fifty-four seconds.
Fifty-four seconds later, with a “snap,” Tu Ke clenched his fist, his eyes widening.
“Tap, tap tap…”
Folin reappeared with a sowhat disorderly step, blurting out, “Captain, what should we do now? Squad Nine has been entirely wiped out too. How do we stop that guy? Should we go ask the Muse Housekeeper? But the situation at the Muse Housekeeper’s end isn’t over yet…”
“I’m aware of that,” Tu Ke said. “It seems now we can only…”
Right as Tu Ke was about to say sothing, a large area of the battlefield erupted into chaos.
Folin looked over, a hint of panic in his expression. “Captain, the redeploynt of Squad Nine has triggered a chain reaction. The advantage in the Core Area has been reversed, and the surrounded wizards have torn open a gap. We must find a way to block it!”
Tu Ke fell silent inexplicably, his expression fluctuating several tis before finally saying, “No need to block it anymore. It’s beyond containnt.”
“That!” Folin turned his head, looking at Tu Ke in astonishnt.
Tu Ke explained, “Our numbers weren’t significantly advantageous to begin with. To surround all the wizards was already quite a feat. Now that the situation has changed and a gap has erged, blocking it would require reallocating personnel from other directions. This would weaken the forces at those spots, which would likely cause more gaps to be torn open. Besides, the target causing the disturbance hasn’t been dealt with yet. Do you think he will simply watch us readjust the situation without doing anything?”
“So…”
“That’s it,” Tu Ke said, his voice turning grave. “Although I hate to admit it, we have to acknowledge that we have failed on this part of the battlefield. It seems we can only achieve half of what was planned.”
“The Muse Housekeeper’s end…”
“I’ll go and explain. There will be punishnt, but it won’t be too severe. After all, losing due to an unexpected factor is sothing we considered. Our plan isn’t limited to just this battle; this is just a beginning. There’s much more to co. If the beginning isn’t as good, we’ll just make up for it later. What’s most important now is to deal with the factor causing the unexpected event, so it doesn’t affect our future plans! Have the first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth squads, along with Franklin’s team and the people from Deep Blue Castle, try to inflict as much damage as possible on the escaping wizards. Keep as many as possible, but don’t force it. And I, personally leading the seventh, eighth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth squads, will deal with the target. We must eliminate the target!”
“Understood.”
“That’s good.”
Tu Ke nodded, stamped his foot, and nurous cracks appeared on the top of the Stone Building. He then leaped high, crashing down into the battlefield like a teor.
