Chapter 413: Chapter 412: Golden Ring

“Hum-hum-hum, boom-boom-boom!”

The ground trembled and roared loudly.

Within the White Stone Tower complex, the on-guard wizards were startled and rushed toward the source of the disturbance without much hesitation.

Upon arrival, everyone was taken aback.

They saw an area within White Stone City completely collapsed, forming a conical pit dozens of ters deep and nearly a hundred ters in diater right before their eyes.

This!

The multitude of wizards stood around the edge of the pit, looking left and right, but they could discern no information.

“What’s going on here?” soone couldn’t help but ask.

“Could it be the remnants of the Black Spirit King’s forces who did this? Aren’t they always causing destruction?” soone speculated.

“The question is, is there a need to make it look like this?” another doubted, “If they wanted to destroy buildings, a single fire magic spell would do the trick, right? Why go to such great lengths to create such a big pit? Are they not in their right minds?”

“When have their minds ever been in the right place?” soone said mockingly, then added with rational analysis, “However…that said, perhaps this is them demonstrating their power. After all, considering the noise just now and the scale of this pit, it’s not sothing an ordinary wizard could manage.”

“So, is it…a very powerful Third-level Wizard?” soone suggested somberly, “Alright, if that’s the case, it seems they really are demonstrating their power, threatening us.”

“What should we do?”

“What can we do? We’re already in a fight to the death with them; no matter what kind of power they show, we can’t back down. Once we do, White Stone Tower will cease to exist!” a high-ranking wizard from White Stone Tower said gravely, “Moving forward, we must stay vigilant and step up the search for their headquarters, aiming to eradicate them in one fell swoop!”

“Right.” the high-ranking wizard continued, “I heard there were also incidents in the eastern district—not a word has co back from the wizard Eisen who was searching in that area, he may have encountered danger. Let’s go check it out together; we might run into the enemy.”

“Okay.”

The group of wizards imdiately streaked toward the east side of White Stone City.

anwhile.

Near the gate of White Stone City.

Richard stood at the side of the street and stopped a passing carriage.

The coachman was a middle-aged man of a guileless nature, who halted the carriage and cautiously inquired, “Excuse , sir, is there sothing you need?”

“Take sowhere, do you have the ti?” asked Richard.

“I have the ti, it’s just, sir, where would you like to go?”

“The seaside port.”

“The seaside port?!” The coachman was taken aback, his mouth agape, “That place is quite far from White Stone City, it’s a journey of several days. Moreover…”

As he spoke, the coachman’s voice suddenly cut off, for Richard flipped his hand and revealed a gleaming gold coin in his palm.

“What if I say, this gold coin is your paynt, will you go?” Richard asked.

“Go, go, go!” The coachman’s eyes widened, breath quickening as he replied, “Of course I’ll go! One gold coin can cover many round trips. You must be a student from the Wizard Academy with so much money, right?”

“A student from the Wizard Academy? You an the White Stone Tower Academy?”

“Yes, that’s right.”

“However…well, I’m not exactly.”

“Oh?”

“Let’s go,” said Richard, as he pulled Pandora onto the carriage, then entered the coach, “No need for irrelevant questions, just hurry to the seaside port. Once we get there, the gold coin in my hand is yours, got it?”

“Yes, I understand,” said the coachman, nodding repeatedly, not daring to say much more, for fear of displeasing Richard, he gripped the whip tightly and gave a sharp crack on the horse’s rear, propelling the carriage toward the city’s outskirts.

Inside the carriage.

Richard closed his eyes, quickly contemplating if there had been any oversights in his previous actions.

Imdiately, all his experiences flashed through his mind like scenes from a movie, fra by fra.

Out-of-body experience, provoking Ji Burlen…

Infiltrating in the flesh, releasing fungal spores…

Employing the Concealing Breath Skill, Shadow Cloak, and even ducking into Eden to hide at the critical mont, evading the relentless search of the other side. Eventually, he turned the tables by placing the Destruction Pearl, obtained from Old Marlon, inside the self-destructing tallic ball. He activated the pearl with a delayed spell, using its power to further trigger the tallic ball and unleash the devastating force within it to finish the job…

Speaking of which, he had always wanted to test how powerful the self-destruction of the tallic ball was.

Now he knew—the explosion’s force was more than enough to destroy the entire underground base, several tis stronger than the upper limits he had anticipated. One could only imagine what would have happened if he had tried to forcibly destroy it—like cutting with the Space Iron Ring—instead of actually solving the Magic Cube and receiving the information.

That said, given its imnse power, the tallic ball probably shouldn’t have been used against the Mysterious Organization—such a waste. But since it had been used, there was no chance for regret; it was done.

At least, he could ensure that the people of the Mysterious Organization were truly dead, easing any worries for the short term.

Yes, no worries for the short term.

Richard slowly opened his eyes.

At this mont, Pandora looked over with wide eyes and tilted her head, asking earnestly, “Richard, is everything resolved?”

“Yes, it’s all resolved,” Richard nodded in response.

“So, are we heading to the seaside, to a new place now?”

“Of course.”

“Then… will we be taking a ship?”

“What do you think?” Richard counter-asked.

“Uhh…” Pandora scratched her head, “What’s it like to be on a ship?”

Richard: “…”

After a brief silence, Richard looked at Pandora and said seriously, “You ca here from Smans Island by ship; you haven’t forgotten, have you?”

“That… I was sleeping the whole ti, and my mory’s a bit fuzzy. I think I dread of being on a ship, and it seed quite noisy, but I can’t really rember…”

Richard was speechless again but, on second thought, considering Pandora had spent twenty hours sleeping and four hours in a daze each day on the great ship, it really could be possible that she genuinely didn’t rember.

“Alright,” Richard let out a sigh, “this ti you’ll get to properly experience what it’s like to be on a ship.”

“Um…” Pandora nodded, sowhat expectantly pulling back the curtain on the carriage window and looking outside, she asked, “How much longer until we reach the seaside?”

“A few days, at least.”

“That long?” Pandora exclaid, “Does that an I still have several days before I can get on a ship?”

“That’s right,” Richard said, looking at the clearly excited Pandora and suddenly having a premonition that perhaps this sea journey would be far more troubleso than the trip to the East Coast.

Sigh!

No one heard Richard’s inward sigh; the sun in the sky climbed higher, unaffected, casting its light upon the earth as the carriage creaked its way further from White Stone Tower.

About the sa ti.

Atop a hill not too far from the White Stone Tower.

A man in a luxurious golden robe appeared, his brows furrowed and his mood seeming rather sour.

“Failed? What went wrong!” the man mumbled to himself, then next mont, he raised his hand with knitted brows.

One could see that he wore a gleaming golden ring on his hand, and in his palm was a crystal skull.

Yes, a Crystal Skull!

If Richard were here, he would notice that the Crystal Skull in the man’s hand was almost identical to the one he owned!
