Chapter 405: Chapter 404 Richard, I’m Sorry

The blood was scorching hot.

The rain was chillingly cold.

Pandora, however, felt extrely cold.

The more blood she lost, the colder her body beca. And inside her body, a strange energy continually wreaked havoc, preventing her from exerting her full strength. It was excruciatingly painful. If she had so ti, maybe she could have purged this accursed energy, but the two nacing-looking individuals standing not far away clearly weren’t going to give her that chance.

Of course, Pandora felt she could endure all that.

The only thing she felt unbearable was the feeling of utter loneliness, without any support.

“Splash, splash…”

The rain fell, the droplets continuously hitting the ground, turning into steam as they rose. Pandora’s lips were tightly pursed.

In the rain, Pandora felt as if the entire world consisted only of herself, the rest being malevolent presences. Everything else was filled with malice; the world too was malevolent, always scrutinizing her, looking for her weaknesses, waiting for monts of her vulnerability to strike and kill her.

She didn’t know why this was so, but it seed to have been this way ever since she could rember; her life filled with fleeing and hiding.

Before, Gregory had been there, accompanying and protecting her, but now Gregory was dead. There was no one left to accompany or protect her.

Well, actually there was one person.

But that person was not here, so she was alone.

So cold, so very cold. So painful, so very painful.

Was she going to die?

A drop of rain fell into Pandora’s eye, and she blinked hard, unsure of the answer to that question.

She didn’t know. She really didn’t.

She had been quite foolish; ever since she was young, Gregory hadn’t taught her much. And whenever she wanted to learn sothing, she always did poorly. She often broke the test tubes when she was cleaning them, and whenever she tried shaping tal blocks, she often made them too big or too small.

In short, apart from fighting and bullying the little animals in the forest, she wasn’t good at anything.

She… was an unqualified dragon, even an unqualified person.

She was terrible.

She really was terrible, and although she had always tried to change, it really didn’t work out.

Take this ti, for example, she had just wanted to see if the carriage had arrived, only to end up in this courtyard and get into a fight with two strangers, and she was even losing.

She couldn’t even do the one thing she was best at anymore.

She was too useless.

Now, Richard in the courtyard must be getting anxious, she should have gone back and told Richard, but… she couldn’t return.

Yeah, she couldn’t return.

Pandora looked at the two people nearby, blinked hard and thought to herself, “I’ve ssed things up again, sorry, Richard…”

After saying this in her mind, Pandora heard one of the n not far away, the taller one speak, “Little girl, you’re quite strong to survive two powerful spells. Hmm, it seems I need to utilize a higher level of power.”

Pandora watched as the other finished speaking, flipping his hand, a ball of purple flas appeared in his palm. She sensed an extrely powerful force from the flas. She didn’t know what they would do, but it was certainly going to be nothing good for her.

She really couldn’t go back now.

The tall man started bringing the purple fla towards his mouth, and Pandora clenched her fists, readying herself for one last struggle. But when she exerted strength, her whole body hurt, and she frowned deeply, clenching her teeth.

The purple fla reached the tall man’s lips.

“Shout!”

Pandora yelled out and forcefully exerted strength to lunge forward, one foot stepping on the ground as if it had stepped on a nail, the nail piercing directly into her bone.

Pandora’s brow furrowed into a knot, her face contorted in pain, nearly crushing her silver teeth.

The tall wizard was about to swallow the fla.

Pandora thought she had ssed things up once again when suddenly a bright light flashed past her and reached before the tall man.

It was a White Jade Plate, its surface inscribed with many intricate patterns, and it seed to contain mysterious powers.

In the next mont, the White Jade Plate exploded with a “bang,” generating a gigantic fireball and powerful shock waves, targeting the tall and the short wizard nearby.

This was…

Pandora’s eyes widened in shock, and when she turned her head, she saw a figure appearing behind her.

“Richard!” Pandora exclaid.

“Bang! Boom!”

The explosion erupted and dissipated.

Richard stood behind Pandora, gently patting her head, “Yes, it’s . I’ve co, though I’m a bit late.”

“No worries, I’m fine.”

“That’s good, rest for a bit.”

“I’m fine, really, I can help you.”

“Listen to .”

“Oh…”

Pandora complied, walking behind Richard. She hadn’t walked two steps before she “plopped” down to the ground—having only been sustaining herself through sheer willpower until now, she realized that she had no strength left once she relaxed. She felt an excruciating pain, and the corrosive energy inside her continued to wreak havoc, requiring all her focus to resist and clear it.

Richard caught a glimpse of Pandora frowning and sitting down from the corner of his eye, feeling slightly relieved. Then, he turned to the two wizards.

Richard had seen these two wizards before; they were from the Mysterious Organization. He, however, didn’t recognize them.

That didn’t matter, because given the current circumstances, from a safety perspective, there was only one choice: clean and decisively kill the opponents, so… knowing them or not made no difference.

But…

Suo n withdrew his Magic Shield, sowhat irritated at being interrupted in the final mont of the upgrade. He looked at the one who interrupted and narrowed his eyes, saying, “So, it’s you, boy! Hmph, I was planning to settle the score with you after this big plan was completed, but you’ve co looking for trouble yourself!”

“Oh?” Richard looked at Suo n, verifying the face and indeed it was unfamiliar except for the one ti he had seen him in the underground secret base. But considering the people from the Mysterious Organization seem to have so kind of resurrection capability, it’s possible that he had t him before under a different appearance.

Then…

Richard’s eyes flickered as he speculated.

At that mont, Suo n declared, “Boy, you probably thought you had finished off before, but that’s impossible! I’ve co back and this ti, it’s my turn to kill you!”

“The killer of Gregory, the mastermind behind the destruction of the Steel Brotherhood, the wizard nad Suo n who has been killed by twice,” Richard affird inwardly, narrowing his eyes and slowly speaking, “Do you think, this ti you can really kill ?”

“I’ll prove it to you,” Suo n said.
