Behind the army of strange creatures, more and more new forces erged, and the previously eliminated Giant Strange Worms and Abnormal Shell Elephants reappeared.

Under the cover of the Abnormal Shell Elephants, the Giant Strange Worms advanced to a place not far from the frontline, continually throwing Abnormal Brown Rats and Abnormal Grey Rats towards it. The intent was not to crush the troops on the frontline but to distract them with these minor nuisances, thereby weakening the defense and making it easier for the other strange creatures to break through.

Attacks on the frontline couldn’t really solve this problem. Every ti an Armor-piercing Bullet was fired, the Giant Strange Worms would quickly lower their bodies, letting the Abnormal Shell Elephants in front absorb the damage, and then continue to throw various strange creatures onto the frontline, unhard.

The pressure on the frontline suddenly increased, more than half as much as before, the execution of military orders began to encounter various issues, and after one segnt of the frontline was breached, it was no longer easy to push back; sotis, it required a lot of lives to fill the gap.

The entire frontline gradually beca stained with blood, and the air was thick with the pungent sll of blood.

Veterans began to feel uncomfortable about this, and new soldiers had already vomited until they could vomit no more, their mouths full of bitterness, numbly holding their weapons to attack, attack, and attack again.

The number of casualties skyrocketed, and when the left-wing lines were forced to abandon two positions in succession, Goring shouted out loud.

"Communications officer!"

A young communications officer hurried over with his equipnt, stumbling and falling along the way due to his haste, his pants sared with dark red clay.

"Colonel, you called for ?" the communications officer asked.

"Get in contact with the top, ask them for support," Goring said in a deep voice.

"Support? What kind of support, Colonel?" the communications officer pressed.

"What kind of support?" Goring glared at the communications officer, shouting impatiently, "Just ask for 100,000 portions of Number Three rations, feed the entire army of strange creatures, and they won’t attack us anymore!"

Having said that, Goring snorted coldly, ignoring the communications officer, picked up his shattered Magic Rune Saber, shouted "Magic Wizards, follow ," and then leapt out of the frontline, charging towards the newly appeared Abnormal Shell Bugs.

The communications officer stared at Goring’s back, sowhat stunned in place: "One hundred thousand portions of Number Three rations?"

After a few seconds, he hesitated to operate the box he was holding.

...

Outside the line, Goring led ten Magic Wizards, reengaging with the army of strange creatures, frantically wielding swords infused with energy, closing in on the Abnormal Shell Elephants, then attacking with full force.

"Pugh..."

One Abnormal Shell Elephant fell.

"Pugh..."

Another Abnormal Shell Elephant fell.

Under the cover of nurous attacks from the frontline, all the newly appearing Abnormal Shell Elephants were completely eliminated by Goring and his team, allowing the Magic Rune Cannon to fully exert its power once again, although several Magic Wizards were lost in the process.

When the blood-soaked Goring returned to the frontline with the remaining Magic Wizards, the first thing he did was call the communications officer over.

"Communications officer, how did the contact with the top go?" Goring asked hoarsely.

"Colonel, I told them our situation was very dangerous and requested...firepower support," the communications officer responded, sowhat nervously.

"Heh, you still know to request firepower support." Goring glanced at the communications officer, nodded slightly, "Seems like you haven’t gone completely stupid, maybe stronger than the firepower support dispatchers above."

"But Colonel...I asked for support, and they didn’t provide it, just like last ti, saying there was no availability, telling us to continue holding out and waiting," the communications officer added.

"Hmph, it would be abnormal if they did provide it – I never thought it would be easy to ask for." Goring smirked, "However, whether they give it or not is their business, whether we ask for it is ours. Keep contacting, keep requesting firepower support, tell them we’re about to be wiped out, and keep asking until they provide it."

After dropping these words, Goring suddenly saw sothing, didn’t say more, and quickly picked up his Magic Rune Saber, leaping to the breached position on the frontline to join the battle.

The communications officer opened his mouth, then lowered his head, silently operating the communications box again.

...

"Pugh pugh pugh..."

More and more blood flowed on the ground, initially forming small streams, then pooling into small ponds, first dyeing the soles of their shoes red, then the tops, and eventually their pant cuffs.

The almost endless flow of strange creatures continued to rush onto the frontline, slaughtering one batch, one after another.

"Boom boom boom!"

The Magic Rune Cannon fired shells repeatedly, even as its barrel smoked it didn’t stop, until a "Boom" sounded, and the barrel shattered.

The gunner and nearby Soldiers suffered significant casualties, with so being blown away by the explosion and lying motionless on the ground, while others were hit by shrapnel and cried out in pain.

The strange creatures showed no rcy, seizing the opportunity to pounce, quickly killing all living humans in sight.

A piece of the line fell...

Soon after, an adjacent piece fell too...

Third section, fourth section...

More and more positions fell, the entire line reaching the brink of total collapse, forcing Goring to order a full contraction, leading soldiers to retreat to the second line, reducing the defensive periter and increasing the defensive strength.

During this process, Bob, Philip, Frank, and other crew mbers, originally engaged in auxiliary work, were also forced to pick up weapons and join the fight, given the critical mont, it was either resisting with all efforts or dying together.

"Bang bang bang!"

"Boom boom boom!"

On the newly constructed line, everyone desperately killed strange creatures, continuously shouting and yelling.

Gradually, as ti passed, the shouting and yelling almost disappeared, with no extra energy left to shout, just silently fighting and fighting.

The only one who kept vocalizing consistently was Frank.

With an off-key, hoarse voice, he said, "Everyone will die, everyone will die!"

While shouting, he held his weapon, stabbing at the strange creatures with the Wind Blade at the end, his expression fierce, his deanor manic, leaving people unable to distinguish whether he was truly mad or rely pretending.

"Everyone will die!"

"Pugh!"

Frank forcefully pierced through a fox-like strange creature, furrowed his brows for a mont, withdrew his weapon, and charged to the side.

On the side, Philip was being pounced on by an Abnormal Brown Rat, his weapon already knocked away, and the Abnormal Brown Rat opened its mouth aiming for his neck.

"Pugh!"

Frank pierced the Abnormal Brown Rat with the Wind Blade of his weapon, kicked it away, and reached out to pull up Philip.

Philip gasped heavily, terrified and unsettled, took a second before he spoke to Frank, "Tha...Thank you...thank you for saving ."

Facing Philip’s gratitude, Frank showed no appreciation, only murmured, "Everyone will die!"

With these words, holding his weapon, he rushed towards another strange creature in the distance.

Philip’s expression was peculiar; in his view, Frank’s eyes clearly showed a strong desire to survive, although his mouth said "everyone will die," it seed more like he was saying, "everyone has to survive."

However, the situation on the field didn’t allow him to think deeply, after a few gasps, he grabbed his knocked-away weapon, and rejoined the fight.
