"What are you doing?" Just after wiping away the drool, Narlyd woke up and drowsily looked at Heidi.

"Ti to get up!" Heidi said to Narlyd, "Sister, nap ti is over. Hurry up and get up! Otherwise, if you delay any longer, the teacher will definitely scold you again."

"Oh." Narlyd replied, indicating she knew, but then turned over determinedly to continue sleeping.

Heidi sighed but did not give up.

She reached out, exerting effort to pull Narlyd up, dragging her outside to wash her face, dispelling her drowsiness.

Then they tidied up the bed and went together to et the teacher—Witch Cesi.

Walking into the study of the small courtyard, the two of them saw that Teacher Cesi seed to be waiting for them. Before they could ask, Witch Cesi pointed at an opened letter on the table and said, "Take a look."

"What’s this?" Heidi asked curiously, lightly picking up the letter and reading it with Narlyd.

After reading for a while, she put the letter down and looked at her teacher, blinking and asking, "Mr. Richard wants to invite us to ’Shalin.’ Teacher, is this true?"

"It is true." Witch Cesi nodded, affirming it.

"Shall we go then?" Narlyd asked beside her.

"I haven’t decided yet," Cesi replied, "So, I want to hear your thoughts."

"Oh, I see..."

...

In another part of Farlo City.

Night.

Inside a secret chamber.

An old man dressed in a black suit, wearing a bowler hat, and holding a golden monocle, sat at the table playing with a black bead.

The bead was about the size of a walnut, engraved with complex patterns on its surface. It was an ancient artifact unearthed from the relics of an ancient wizard civilization. From limited research, it could be determined that this artifact posed little danger. Its unique feature was that it could store a small amount of energy at once and then release it very slowly, causing the bead’s surface to reach a temperature slightly higher than that of the human body.

What’s the use of this?

Not much.

However, it still offers a bit of pleasure when played with in hand.

At least, for the old man, it does.

The old man was one of the initiators of the loose organization in Farlo City called the Ancient Artifact Exchange eting; his na was Abel. He had the strength of a Third-level Peak Wizard and could even rival a Level 4 Wizard for a short ti through certain ans. When Richard stayed in Farlo, he had so exchanges with Richard regarding ancient artifacts, and they kept in touch occasionally after Richard left.

As Abel played with the black bead, he suddenly thought of sothing. He pulled open a small drawer beside the table and took out a letter from it.

He had already read the letter, so he didn’t need to open it to know its contents.

Abel continued playing with the black bead, his eyes slightly narrowed, murmuring to himself: "No money, no delicious food, no beauty, no enjoynt of any kind, but it possesses the most profound spell knowledge in the world? Even knowledge lost from the ancient wizard civilization? In that case, there must be plenty of creations from the ancient wizard civilization there too, right? Then..."

...

While Wizard Abel muttered to himself because of a letter, many others across the continent received similar letters and reacted in different ways.

None of this seed to cause much commotion.

But it did have so influence—the influence on a not-so-distant future.

...

Many days later.

July, Fla Month—the hottest month of the year.

At noon—the hottest ti of the day.

Shalin, Atlantis, Lord Mansion.

In a room, Richard carefully examined Bi Bi, then had her lie flat on the experint table nearby, saying softly, "Now it can be determined that the last ti I imparted knowledge to you was very successful. The knowledge acquired is relatively complete, and there were no overly obvious side effects.

But the other experintal subjects, apart from you, experienced various degrees of nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and other symptoms of discomfort after receiving knowledge, with so even falling into a coma, only recovering consciousness after treatnt with dication, at the cost of acquiring only fragntary knowledge.

This difference is probably due to your unique physical structure. As you are essentially a magic puppet, you can more flexibly accept the knowledge imparted, whereas normal humans require special spells and dication to achieve similar effects.

In that case, if you want, you can very easily beco a repository of knowledge, absorbing and storing vast amounts of knowledge. With ample practice and flexible application, you can beco an extrely learned and wise being."

Seeing Bi Bi’s proud expression, Richard continued, "Still, to be safe, don’t impart too much knowledge at once. Previously, so experintal subjects were ntally traumatized due to the excessive amount of knowledge imparted at one ti. For this round, we’ll still impart only one subject’s knowledge, but we can include both introductory and interdiate knowledge together, so... which subject would you like to learn? Physics? Chemistry? chanics? Or Biology?"

"This ti..." Bi Bi, as if she had already decided, quickly said, "This ti, I want to learn about food-related knowledge."

"Hmm?" Richard frowned, tilting his head as if he had not heard clearly, asking again, "What?"

"Knowledge related to food," Bi Bi said earnestly, thinking for a mont, "According to your naming, it should be Food Science or Eating Science, that’s what I want to learn."

Eating Science???

Richard: "..."

After a long silence, Richard looked at Bi Bi and asked, "Why, after learning basic mathematics, do you suddenly want to learn this?"

"It’s not sudden. I’ve always wanted to learn," Bi Bi replied, "If it weren’t for Pandora saying I was too dumb, and I couldn’t refute it, I wouldn’t have chosen to learn mathematics but Eating Science instead. After all, the joy of eating is my pursuit. If I learn it, I’ll personally create and taste more and better food."

At the end, Bi Bi’s face was full of anticipation.

Richard’s expression, however, was quite peculiar.

If possible, he wanted to take back what he said about becoming "an extrely learned and wise being"... Richard gave Bi Bi a deep look and sighed helplessly. He had to admit that science and higher knowledge aren’t everyone’s pursuits, at least not every puppet’s pursuit...

Alright then...

"Phew—"

Richard exhaled, taking out the Crystal Skull and walking over to Bi Bi, saying, "Since you want to learn... ’Food Science’ knowledge, then I will teach it to you. Are you ready? Once you’re set, we shall begin."

"Yes, I’m ready."

"Then let’s begin."

"Buzz!"

Richard placed the Crystal Skull on Bi Bi’s forehead, injecting energy, causing the Crystal Skull to tremble as its interior glowed a blue-green hue, then surged sharply towards Bi Bi’s brain.

Bi Bi’s eyes widened, and as she gradually received food-related knowledge, a delighted smile appeared on her face, and her throat involuntarily swallowed her saliva, as if she already had nurous ideas for interesting culinary dishes.

Bi Bi was not very sure if studying would make her happy, but at this mont, she was indeed happy.

Richard, anwhile, imparted knowledge while sighing gently.
