Day and night rotated, ti flew by, and letters from Shalin were sent to various parts of the Main Continent.
Jialan City.
Inside a luxurious Noble mansion.
"Tap, tap, tap..."
The sound of footsteps echoed as Cathy, one of the two students Richard had once taught, hurriedly ran down the corridor holding a letter, heading towards a room.
"Harry, Harry, bro..." Cathy called out as she ran.
"Bang!"
Cathy pushed the door open and upon seeing the scene in the room, paused slightly.
She saw that the room was filled with nurous scrolls and books, and the floor was scattered with draft papers scribbled with illegible words, with phrases like "Which is more real, thinking or this world," "Maybe I exist within a dream," and "What is the truth of the world" barely discernible.
A slightly pale-faced young boy—Harry, sat at the desk in the room, just about to put down a letter that he seed to have just finished reading. Upon hearing Cathy’s sudden entrance, the boy looked up at her calmly.
Cathy opened her mouth and, looking at the letter in the young boy’s hand, said sowhat dispiritedly, "So you also received a letter from the teacher."
"Yes." Harry nodded and said indifferently, "Just finished reading it."
"What did the teacher say?" Cathy asked.
"Why ask ? You received a letter too, didn’t you? We’re both the teacher’s students, so logically, the content of the letters should be basically the sa." Harry asked, sowhat puzzled.
"Well..." Cathy scratched her head and said, "After receiving the letter, I was too excited and ca straight to you without reading it, so I don’t know what it says yet."
"Alright." Harry sighed helplessly at his sister and said, "The content of the letter is actually quite simple. Besides the teacher’s greetings to us, he invited us to a place called ’Shalin.’ The teacher said he will be staying at ’Shalin’ for a long ti, and if we go, there will be a better learning environnt and a chance to explore a broader world."
"I see..." Cathy nodded after listening, thinking for a few seconds, her eyes slowly widening as she looked at Harry and asked, "Then... brother, should we go?"
"Why not?" Harry replied, while standing up to start packing the room. First, he organized the draft papers on the floor, then stuffed them along with the books and scrolls into a box, filling it up to eighty percent, before randomly tossing in a few pieces of clothing.
"I don’t know what you’re thinking. After all, we’re different individuals, and we have different thoughts on the sa matter. But in my view, accepting the teacher’s invitation to go to ’Shalin’ is necessary, because I’ve had many questions that I’ve wanted to ask the teacher face to face for a long ti." Harry said, struggling to close the box, then looked at Cathy and asked, "So, do you want to co with ?"
"I..." Cathy hesitated for a few seconds, then her gaze fird as she nodded decisively, "Okay, I’ll go with you!"

Jialan City, outside the city, Ash Academy.
In a dormitory in the academy’s attic, the sound of "snip, snip" continuously echoed as Female Apprentice Jessica used a large pair of scissors to trim Wizard Bobbobovic’s wildly growing grass-green hair.
"Snip, snip..."
After trimming for a while, the freckle-faced Jessica put down the scissors, glanced at Bobbobovic, and sighed, "Teacher, why hasn’t your hair changed for so long? Is it going to grow like this forever?"
"What do you an it hasn’t changed?" Bobbobovic defended slightly, "At least the growth rate this month has slowed compared to last month. Although the slowdown is small, it still shows that the potion I configured recently had a tiny bit of effect. So, Jessica, be patient and give so more ti. I will eventually solve the side effects of this ’Wild Hair Evil Power Growth Technique.’ Alright, continue trimming. I’ll finish reading this letter and then talk to you."
With that, Bobbobovic reached out to open a letter at his side, his gaze falling on it as he started reading.
Female Apprentice Jessica shrugged helplessly, picked up the large scissors, and began trimming Bobbobovic’s hair again.
"Snip, snip..."
"I say, Teacher, why don’t you think of a way to let it all fall off and beco bald? At least you won’t be stuck inside forever with your hair growing like this," Jessica whispered.
"No, Jessica!" A few minutes later, Bobbobovic put down the letter, looked directly at Jessica, and said seriously and loudly, "I’m going out today, on a long journey, to completely solve my hair problem."
Female Apprentice Jessica, a little startled, put down the scissors and tentatively touched Bobbobovic’s forehead. Only after confirming he didn’t have a fever did she ask, "Teacher, where do you plan to go for this long journey?"
"Shalin!" Bobbobovic said.
"Huh? Shalin?" Jessica asked in confusion.

Elsewhere.
Farlo City, midday.
In an extrely luxurious room, Sherlock lay on a soft bed, resting his head on the lap of the young maid Lucia, lazily opening a letter.
After reading for a while, Sherlock arched an eyebrow and slowly said, "Shalin?"
"A place in the Sika Kingdom that was ceded, near the North Wilderness? Doesn’t seem like there’s anything fun there. I absolutely won’t go to such a place. I’d be bored to death if I went. Yes, that’s decided, I’ll pretend I never received this letter!" Sherlock said, casually tossing the letter aside, and adjusted himself into a comfortable position on the young maid’s lap, ready to fall asleep peacefully.
Unexpectedly, the letter spun in the air and gently landed back on Sherlock’s face.
"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!"
Sherlock shook his head, flicking the letter away, then grabbed it in anger, crumpled it into a ball, and was about to toss it into the corner.
But just as he was about to do so, his mind shifted, and Sherlock changed his mind. He sat up, smoothed out the crumpled letter, and tucked it into a book for safekeeping.
"You can’t say anything for certain in the world, it’s best to leave so room for possibilities." Sherlock said, "Maybe Shalin isn’t fun now, but who knows about later; better to keep this letter, it doesn’t take much effort anyway."
After putting the letter away, Sherlock sighed in relief, lay back onto the bed, rested his head on the young maid Lucia’s lap again, and fell into a relaxed sleep.
...
While Sherlock was asleep, "Cat Slave Girl" Heidi had just woken from a midday nap in a small courtyard room in a secluded alley in Farlo City.
"Mmm—ah—"
Heidi stretched languidly, glanced at the Justice Girl Narlyd still asleep beside her, noticed the corner of her mouth slightly drooling, and couldn’t help but shake her head, taking a handkerchief to wipe it away for her.
