"Drip, drip!"

Blood continuously dripped from the figure who had barged in, pooling quickly into a small puddle on the floor.

Richard raised an eyebrow slightly, while Pandora and the other three, who were about to leave, were taken aback. Bi Bi, picking her nose, was so engrossed that she forgot to remove her finger.

The intruding figure raised a hand as if to say sothing. But to those four, it seed like a dangerous attack gesture. Almost without hesitation, they acted.

The Witch Demon Elder was the fastest. He had been simring with anger since encountering the Eight-Ard Skeleton, with no outlet for it. Upon seeing the intrusion, he clasped his hands, a dense black mist billowed out, forming a hefty Death God Scythe.

"Bang!"

The Death God Scythe was tilted, striking the intruder heavily on the face. In an instant, the crisp sound of bones under strain echoed. The right side of the figure’s face noticeably caved in, and under the imnse force, they flew towards a wall in the room.

However, the figure did not crash into the wall—just before impact, the Eight-Ard Skeleton appeared like a phantom. Two of its arms reached back, producing a hefty bone club of unknown origin, then swung it in a full arc, aiming at the left side of the figure’s face with full strength.

"Bang!"

A chilling sound rang out, and the figure in mid-air abruptly halted, then flew in the opposite direction, where Pandora stood.

Pandora didn’t really want to intervene. She was now deeply engrossed in learning, realizing more and more that violence should be used sparingly.

If she could, she would have preferred to capture the intruder and question their reason for crashing in.

But given the current situation, she clearly wasn’t given that chance. Watching the figure getting closer, covered in blood, she glanced at her clean clothes and the scroll in her hand, and frowned.

The next mont, she threw a punch.

This punch was so fast that the motion was almost invisible; the air in front of Pandora compressed into a ball, then exploded. The figure, just a ter away from Pandora, was blown backward by the air impact, bouncing off with a "thud" and rolling several tis before stopping at Bi Bi’s feet.

Bi Bi, still picking her nose, curiously looked at the figure by her feet. When she finally dug out a tiny booger ball, she saw the figure open its mouth, either to speak or possibly to attack by spewing sothing.

Bi Bi’s eyes widened with vigilance, and she shoved her hand into the figure’s mouth, sticking her fingers deep down the throat, ensuring the booger ball adhered to the figure’s tonsils, preemptively stopping any potential attack.

Seeing the figure struggle, Pandora withdrew her hand and forcibly closed the figure’s mouth before delivering a hefty slap with all her strength.

"Slap!"

After the crisp sound, the figure ceased all struggle and lay still, seemingly dead.

The room fell silent. After a while, Bi Bi, still a bit slow to realize, turned to Richard, seeing his odd expression, and asked, "Did I hit too hard? I hope I didn’t kill them."

"You were a bit harsh, be careful next ti," Richard replied, "But it’s okay this ti, the person’s not dead."

"Really?" Bi Bi looked at the figure in surprise.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

The person on the ground began to move, coughing violently, raising their upper body. Hands reached into their mouth, scraping for a while until they spat out Bi Bi’s booger ball with a "ptoo, ptoo," finally exhaling deeply.

"Phew—"

"Swoosh!"

The figure wiped the blood off their face, glaring annoyedly at Richard and the others in the room, saying, "I thought being inexplicably beaten in Pompeii when I tried to help was bad enough, but now I see that was just the beginning. Truly bad luck is here. Ptoo, ptoo, is this your way of welcoming guests? Beat them up and shove booger balls in their mouths? What kind of etiquette is that?"

"I took ti to dig that out, okay! I can’t even get a few in a day. If you don’t want it, you can give it back to ," Bi Bi retorted upon hearing this.

The figure nearly laughed in frustration, feeling sowhat dazed as they began searching the ground, seemingly determined to return the booger ball to Bi Bi in anger.

But after searching for a few seconds and realizing their injuries blurred their vision, they slapped the ground in frustration, saying, "Let finish my business first, then I’ll find it for you!"

"Rember that! So, what’s your business?" Bi Bi asked.

"I’m not telling you; I’m here for soone nad Richard," the figure replied.

"Richard? He’s there," Bi Bi quickly pointed to Richard.

The figure turned, eting Richard’s gaze.

"Looking for ?" Richard squinted and asked, "Who are you? It’s unusual to co looking for at a ti and in a state like this, isn’t it?"

"No need for you to remind , I’m clearer on that than you," the figure retorted. "Actually, if it weren’t for the peculiar circumstances, I wouldn’t even want to find you. Alright, a simple introduction: I’m Long Shu, a subordinate of Lord Oscar, and you’ve probably t my brother, he’s called Zong Hu.

As you might have heard, a battle broke out outside; soone attempted to assassinate Lord Oscar. My brother and I fought desperately to stop it, but we failed. So, Lord Oscar was killed, my brother Zong Hu was severely injured, and I ended up like this."

Long Shu spoke without much sadness, maintaining a sowhat frivolous tone, though his eyes dimd sowhat.

His thick eyebrows then twitched as he shouted, "I ca to find you because you’re considered a friend of Lord Oscar, so with his death, I wanted to inform you. The mont I ca in, I received your ’warm welco,’ although I didn’t co through the door, but the window, surely not deserving of this reception?"

Richard ignored the complaint, responding seriously, "Are you sure Mr. Oscar is dead?"

"Of course, what would be the point of lying about sothing like this?"

Richard pursed his lips and asked, "So, who did it?"

"I want to know more than you do, but there are no clues," Long Shu shrugged. "All I know is it’s so freakishly strong old guy, seemingly even stronger than the other old man I encountered at Pompeii Volcano."

Richard fell into silence for a few seconds, muttering to himself, "Even Mr. Oscar was killed? This Shaya really is..."

Before he finished speaking, there was a knocking sound, "knock, knock, knock," from outside the study door.

Richard turned his head, a bit puzzled, and walked over to open the door, seeing a servant outside. It seed the sound from when Pandora and the others beat up Long Shu was so loud it caught the servant’s attention.

"Sir, I heard unusual noises from your room earlier, so I ca to check if everything is alright," the servant asked attentively.

"Nothing much... don’t worry, it was just a visit from soone. However, it might be necessary to repair the window in this study during the day."

"Huh?" The servant outside widened his eyes, confused about the connection between a visit and a window repair but nodded nonetheless.

Afterward, Richard waved his hand, saying, "Go ahead."

"Yes." The servant turned to leave.

But only a few steps away, Richard called out again, "Wait."

"Yes, sir. Is there anything else?" the servant halted and turned back.

Richard scrutinized the servant and realized the person seed unfamiliar—this ti, Max had assigned him three male servants to attend to him, but the one present now wasn’t any of the three.

He hadn’t paid much attention before, but thinking it over, it felt like this was no simple matter.
