Capítulo 1362: Chapter 1360: The Banquet
“Boom——”
The huge rumbling sound echoed through the night, spreading throughout almost the entire Shaya City.
Shaya City’s official reception area, Richard’s residence courtyard.
On the second floor study, Richard, having just sent Oscar away, was sitting at his desk. Upon hearing the sound, he quickly raised his head, sensing sothing, and got up to walk to the window, looking towards the direction from which the sound ca.
“Boom!”
“Bang!”
“Thud!”
Just seconds after the first explosion, several consecutive booms followed, no less powerful than the first, loud and brief.
Richard deduced that this was definitely a battle at the Level 4 Wizard level, possibly involving multiple Level 4 Wizards in high-intensity combat. Every boom represented destructive forces clashing, the energy wave from the clash so strong that it could transmit through the air all the way to him, with so residual effects.
Richard mused… Shaya City was truly getting more chaotic. With battles like this occurring, it’s probably wise to leave as soon as possible.
The explosion ca suddenly and disappeared quickly. After sounding several tis, alongside the last boom, all movent suddenly vanished into the night, leaving no trace, and the residual energy wave quickly dissipated, as if nothing had happened.
Richard gathered his thoughts, having no inclination to investigate the battle further, as he still had his own matters to attend to, turning to face the side of his desk.
Beside the desk, four chairs were scattered about, and seated on them were Pandora, Bi Bi, Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu, and Eight-Ard Skeleton Anan.
Each of the four held a scroll, with different contents written on them. After reading, they each set them down and looked over.
“Done reading? How do you feel?” Richard asked aloud. “This ti, I’ve devised the ‘dium and Long-term Research Plan’ and included all of you, formulating specialized plans that are beneficial to you all. Though not mandatory, they’ll definitely help you. If you collaborate, it will also greatly assist . What do you think?”
“No problem,” Pandora was the first to speak. Hers contained the most detailed plan, yet she finished reading first. Since she originally followed Richard in learning, her thinking aligned closely with his, so she couldn’t find any reason to not cooperate.
Richard nodded in satisfaction upon hearing this and turned to Bi Bi.
Bi Bi set down the scroll of the plan, while currently… digging her nose earnestly, digging with great effort and enthusiasm.
A few seconds passed, and feeling Richard’s gaze growing heavier, she finally reacted, reluctantly leaving her finger in her nostril, then nodded towards Richard, saying, “I… I don’t have any issues either.”
“Are you sure?” Richard asked, slightly skeptical, “Your planning sche includes quite a few challenging contents; do you really think you can achieve them?”
“Really?” Hearing this, Bi Bi finally showed so surprise and flipped through the scroll, exclaiming continuously, “Preliminarily master mathematics? Preliminarily master chanics? Preliminarily master electronics? Preliminarily master Magic Rune Science? Preliminarily… eventually achieve continuous repair and improvent of non-core parts of your own body?”
After reading, Bi Bi widened her eyes asking, “So, I have to learn a lot?”
“You just realized? You didn’t even look at the planning content earlier, right?” Richard couldn’t help but say.
“Right, I didn’t actually look because I’m lazy…” Bi Bi was blunt, “But I pretended well, didn’t I? Shouldn’t there be a reward for that?”
Richard: “…”
After a mont of silence, Richard spoke to Bi Bi, “It’s better to read it carefully again, then tell your thoughts; perhaps we can make so adjustnts.”
“No need to look, I’ll agree to all of it.” Bi Bi said carelessly, “After all, you said it wasn’t mandatory. If I can’t complete what I agreed to, you can’t punish , right? Plus, regarding the mory recovery issue, I still haven’t decided yet. If I do decide to recover my mory and it changes my personality, I may just ignore any planning, so everything done now might be aningless.”
Richard looked at Bi Bi, admitting that her logic was quite coherent, thought for a mont, and said, “Actually, you can consider your mory recovery decision for a while. During the creation of the ‘dium and Long-term Research Plan,’ I had new research ideas regarding mory recovery. If successful, it may reduce so side effects and even allow reversible mory recovery.”
“Is that so,” Bi Bi nodded, though it was unclear if she understood, showing a contemplative expression while simultaneously resuming her nose-digging.
Seeing this, Richard withdrew his gaze from Bi Bi and turned to Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu, speaking out, “Mr. Ah Fu, what do you think of your planning sche?”
“…” Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu furrowed his brows slightly, pointed at the scroll on his lap, looking at Richard to confirm, asking, “According to what is written here, I should diversify my research directions and not just focus on the improvent of magic puppets, also ideally engaging in research on Undead Magic, Shape Energy Magic, and other spells?”
“That’s right.”
“But why?”
“Because… Mr. Ah Fu, your magic puppet research hasn’t shown much progress so far. Do you plan to continue indefinitely like this?” Richard said.
“I…” Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu found himself speechless, and next instantly turned and glared at Eight-Ard Skeleton Anan, exclaiming, “It’s all because of that troublemaker! If this guy were gone, I could achieve a major breakthrough in magic puppet improvent tomorrow.”
By the end of the sentence, Witch Demon Elder was full of anger, genuinely infuriated by Eight-Ard Skeleton.
Basically, Eight-Ard Skeleton would go there every day to steal a few bones, more or less, randomly affecting his improvent progress.
Accumulating over these days, it was probably hundreds of bones stolen. What does this concept convey? Rounding up, it’s like a billion!
Richard sowhat understood Witch Demon Elder’s feelings and so turned to Eight-Ard Skeleton, speaking seriously, “Considering Mr. Ah Fu’s reason, your planning sche only contains one sentence, which is: Don’t cause trouble. Can you do that?”
Eight-Ard Skeleton sat in the chair, speechless—not willing nor able to speak. However, the silent ghost fire burning within the eye sockets seed to convey a vague aning: Um, let think about it.
Think about it?
Seems utterly exasperating.
Seeing Eight-Ard Skeleton’s appearance, Witch Demon Elder’s fury boiled over, unable to resist wanting to stand up and “communicate” with Eight-Ard Skeleton.
Luckily, Richard tily controlled the situation, speaking aloud, “Alright, let’s stop here for today. You can rest in Eden now. When you have ti, seriously think about the contents of the planning sche. Also, Shaya has been a bit chaotic these few days, so if you don’t need to wander around randomly, don’t. If you do, don’t leave this courtyard, or you might end up caught in unforeseen battles.”
“So chaotic? Could we perhaps take advantage of the chaos to do sothing?” Bi Bi’s eyes lit up, suddenly interested.
“Preferably not,” Richard advised upon hearing, “Right now, the chaos isn’t ordinary, with various factions clashing and significant unknown risks involved. Unless urgent, it’s better not to act rashly.”
“What if we’re already in danger? Like suddenly soone breaking in and causing trouble? Surely, we can fight back and give them a good beating?” Bi Bi asked eagerly.
“Well…” Richard hesitated briefly, saying, “Naturally, that’s possible. However, the likelihood is small; this courtyard should be safe for now, and no one will casually break in. Besides, we’ll be leaving soon. Once we’re gone, we won’t need to worry anymore.”
“Oh,” Bi Bi nodded with slight disappointnt and withdrew her gaze. Together with Pandora and the others, they turned to leave the room.
Just then, the study’s window suddenly shattered with a crash, and a bloody figure stumbled inside.
