The Gray Mist sensed sothing was amiss and swung its fist fiercely at the nearest air wall.

"Crash!"

The air wall shattered.

But it did not hinder much.

Richard had conjured hundreds of air walls, and shattering one did not affect the overall construction of the transparent pyramid.

The Gray Mist’s eyes widened, and it struck with all its might, frantically shattering air walls.

"Crash, crash!"

But the destruction caused by the Gray Mist was far slower than Richard’s speed in conjuring them.

Within Richard, the four energy furnaces operated at full power, releasing an imnse amount of energy. His feet left the ground, and the pyramid followed, stacking layer upon layer, rapidly reaching the top position.

The Gray Mist saw this and felt a crisis, striking downwards in an attempt to carve a path out from underground, only to find that Richard had left no such opportunity—at so unknown ti, the ground was also filled with air walls like a floor, severing its escape plans.

The Gray Mist gritted its teeth, glanced at Richard about to seal off the top of the transparent pyramid, and stepped down, preparing to forcibly escape from the last opening at the top. As soon as it lifted its body, it suddenly realized that the blood-colored energy pillar Richard had set up had it tightly bound in place—more precisely, bound within this space inside the pyramid.

Its body, life force, and soul were all locked in place.

This!

The Gray Mist’s body tensed, and nearly tangible gray energy surged from its body, enveloping itself, and bombarded the blood-colored energy pillar in an attempt to break free—but this obviously required ti.

And Richard was giving no such ti to the Gray Mist.

At this mont, Richard hovered about a dozen ters above the Gray Mist’s head, cast a glance at it, and with a flip of his hand, a bullet-shaped object over half a ter long and more than ten centiters in diater appeared, its surface glowing with the cold luster unique to tal.

This was a nuclear weapon still in the experintal stage.

After successfully testing the nuclear weapon in Pompeii, with surplus nuclear material and the potential for an unending supply of nuclear materials, coupled with research purposes, Richard never stopped producing nuclear weapons.

However, due to the reduced research value after testing nuclear weapons in the kiloton and gaton range, most of the produced weapons were smaller nuclear weapons, which could be called tactical nuclear weapons.

The primary research objective of these tactical nuclear weapons was to study extraordinary factors, and they were modified to various extents according to specific needs, with a few unified characteristics: a smaller effective range, more focused power, significantly reduced radiation by incorporating neutron and radiation-absorbing materials, and improved constructs utilizing extraordinary factor knowledge, leading to a magical electromagnetic pulse effect primarily targeting the core area.

This made them unsuitable for damaging a wide range of enemies, but they were perfect for dealing with a small number of concentrated enemies or even a single bound enemy.

After all, a tactical nuclear weapon is still a nuclear weapon; the yield was reduced, but core damage remained largely unchanged or sowhat enhanced in so aspects, making a hit a one-hit kill.

For this reason, Richard nad this type of tactical nuclear weapon the Dagger series.

The one he took out now was Dagger No. 11—Gentleness.

Originally he only intended to use it for so laboratory research rather than actual combat, as he perceived it to be sowhat wasteful.

But the situation was special, and he truly didn’t want to continue entangling with the Gray Mist, so it was better to use it and be done with it.

A glance at the Gray Mist inside the pyramid, still struggling unsuccessfully against the blood power extraordinary factor’s constraints, Richard wasted no words and activated the tactical nuclear weapon in his hand, dropping it down. At the sa ti, he clapped his hands, gathering air to form a layer upon layer of air walls, sealing the one-ter-wide opening at the top of the pyramid completely.

"Snap!"

Richard stepped back, his body flying away from the pyramid while issuing a warning to the Alliance Magic Knights, Wizards, and Soldiers on the distant battlefield.

"Close your eyes!"

Hmm?

Those who heard the sound instinctively hesitated.

Inside the pyramid, the Gray Mist, attempting every possible way to destroy the blood-colored energy pillar and break free, suddenly sensed the approaching bullet-shaped tactical nuclear weapon Richard had dropped, montarily stunned.

The next second, with a "boom," the nuclear weapon exploded, unleashing its terrifying power in an exceedingly short ti asured in vibrations.

At the last mont, Richard’s body flickered several tis, retreating to a safe location by slipping into the void.

Afterward, he turned his head to look at the transparent pyramid, just in ti to witness a sudden bright light inside, followed by an expanding light ball.

The light ball’s imnse power was such that even the densely stacked air walls couldn’t hold it off, and it was quickly shattered until the entire pyramid collapsed along with it—though this sowhat curtailed the dissemination of power, achieving maximum destruction within the pyramid.

Monts later, from the pyramid’s ruins, a mushroom cloud rose, followed by blue light and shockwaves spreading in all directions.

Due to the tactical nature of the nuclear weapon, its yield was reduced, and with the pyramid’s encasent, it didn’t cause too much commotion outside, but it did create chaos among the battling Alliance forces and the mbers of the Truth Society.

Screams arose—those who failed to close their eyes or turn their head in ti were scorched by the nuclear weapon’s intense light.

Groans were also heard—the weak spell electromagnetic pulse affected their magic origin.

But these were minor issues; Richard glanced at them briefly before returning his gaze to the position beneath the mushroom cloud.

After a while, the mushroom cloud dissipated, and everything quieted down. He saw a gradually solidifying lava field where nothing else existed.

There were no ashes, no corpses, and no Gray Mist.

The Gray Mist had vanished entirely, evaporated clean by the tactical nuclear weapon.

After looking, Richard couldn’t help but wonder: Shouldn’t this count as being utterly dead? After all, at the center of a nuclear weapon, the body cannot possibly withstand it, and the delayed explosive, improved spell electromagnetic pulse has a soul-destroying effect... If the body was gone and managed to resurrect, it might be understandable, but if the soul shattered and sohow resurrected again, it would be unreasonable, right?

Both Pompeii’s Long i’er and the Dead Sea whose location was leaked by Bi Bi were truly finished after their soul shattered.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, Richard saw a murky bubble the size of a glass ball suddenly erge from the gradually solidifying lava.

"Pop," the bubble burst, and a wisp of gray mist floated out, rapidly expanding into the Gray Mist’s form.

The Gray Mist successfully resurrected for the sixth ti!

This!

The resurrected Gray Mist looked no different from before, with eyes sweeping around observantly, not seemingly having lost its soul or being incomplete. The only issue was that the Gray Mist’s brow was slightly furrowed, its gaze sowhat dimd, appearing sowhat listless.

Richard watched, pursing his lips tightly.
