Outside Kasha City.

The army was gathering.

Initially, before the battle of Kasha City, the Alliance had already assembled a frontline force of one hundred thousand troops in the surrounding areas.

After the battle of Kasha City, there were so losses, but within a month, they had completely replenished their forces and even increased in numbers. The previous ten corps had now expanded to twelve, with over 120,000 troops.

At this mont, more than 120,000 troops were assembling outside the city, forming their battle lines.

In the very center were the infantry, with heavy armor infantry and lightly armored infantry each standing in their designated positions.

Upon closer inspection, one could see the classifications of shield soldiers, long spear soldiers, archers, chanical crossbow soldiers, and various other units.

On the outer periter were the cavalry, divided into heavy cavalry and light cavalry, acting as a mobile force effectively defending the flanks and capable of quick assaults.

The magic cavalry and wizards were distributed throughout the army formation, like nodes or anchors. Once the battle began, they would guide the army’s movents, unleashing maximum power.

An intense and chilling aura of killing intent emanated from the formation, soaring into the sky, almost piercing the heavens.

Richard stood on the walls of Kasha City, observing the scene with so admiration.

It was evident that the army formation was not yet fully perfected, as subsequent troops were arriving consecutively. Under the command’s direction, these reinforcents integrated into the formation without causing much disruption, taking their prearranged positions.

Everything was as natural as a drop of water falling into the ocean, showcasing the commander’s exceptional command skills—skill that was nearly artistic.

Richard knew that it was General Soron personally commanding.

He could see Soron in the central army position, continuously speaking to his subordinates and ssengers nearby.

Perhaps being watched for too long, Soron sensed it, and after a mont, he slowly turned his head towards the city walls, then waved at Richard as a greeting.

After greeting, Soron didn’t make any other movents. He turned back, swept his gaze over the now-complete army formation, and with a command, directed the troops to march briskly towards the northwest—that was the direction Soron had once stood on the walls gazing at for a long ti.

The deceased white-robed staff had once been puzzled by this, even boldly speculating, but never confird it.

Now, the dust had settled, and the answer was revealed—it was the location of the Truth Society’s headquarters in the Sika Kingdom!

The army marched swiftly, aiming at the Truth Society headquarters!

...

Truth Society Headquarters.

Underground Hall.

"Bang!"

An urgent sound echoed as the stone door on a side wall of the hall opened. The round Gorlov stumbled in a hurry, rushing straight towards the bone table at the center of the hall, intending to report to Gray Mist, the chief of the Colorful Rings, who was seated there.

But upon reaching the bone table and looking up, Gorlov was stunned to find no one behind the table.

Gorlov opened his mouth, sowhat panicked, with sweat already covering his face, now sliding down in beads. He was unsure of what had transpired, but various ominous suspicions filled his mind. Just as he was about to collapse, a sound erged from the dim corner of the hall.

"Tap, tap, tap..."

Gray Mist, clad in a black robe, walked out with asured steps.

Gorlov turned to look, failing to notice Gray Mist’s expression, but instinctively breathed a sigh of relief, quickly reporting aloud: "Master, Master, sothing bad has happened. The Alliance is gathering more than an army’s worth of forces approaching us, including nurous wizards and magic knights. It’s highly probable that their target is us.

I suspect that their previous one-month ceasefire was spent investigating our headquarters’ location, and once confird, they launched an attack without hesitation—this indicates that the purpose of this war, as we’ve previously guessed, is indeed aid at us. We... we must find a way to respond, otherwise..."

As Gorlov spoke, his voice gradually softened as he noticed Gray Mist staring at him.

"Gulp." Gorlov swallowed hard, realizing sothing, and asked, "Master, you knew about this in advance?"

"Yes," Gray Mist confird, glancing at Gorlov, "There’s no need to panic; it won’t help. Since the Alliance has co to us, then we just need to eliminate them."

"But they have numbers exceeding an army," Gorlov expressed concern, "Composed of elite frontline units with rich combat experience, and a core of nurous wizards and magic knights, their combat power is strong. And after previous events, our personnel has suffered significant losses. Removing those stationed elsewhere, the headquarters alone will find it difficult to easily defeat them. Even if successful, the losses would be irreparable."

"Of course, I understand that," Gray Mist pursed lips, pondering for a few seconds before saying, "So, contact Heaven, request Divine Punishnt to help us win this battle, to show the Alliance what kind of existence they are attempting to annihilate."

"But..." Gorlov hesitated, "But Master, didn’t we use Divine Punishnt not long ago? With such a short interval, and the high-scale divine intervention required to resolve this situation, what if Heaven disagrees..."

"They will agree," Gray Mist assured, face stern, "If they don’t, with the Truth Society’s headquarters gone, are they prepared to start over? So, go, contact them imdiately."

"Yes." Gorlov shrank back, slightly intimidated by the present Gray Mist, quickly turned and jogged out of the hall.

...

"Tap, tap, tap..."

Soon, Gorlov returned to the hall, breathlessly reporting, "Master, the contact is made, Heaven agrees... But they also ntioned that due to the lingering effects of the previous Divine Punishnt, it will take at least five hours, with seven hours being ideal for the next one to descend."

"At least five hours? Best in seven hours?" Gray Mist’s face darkened with anger as he spoke, "If it indeed takes at least five hours, the Truth Society’s destruction might co faster than the Alliance’s—before the Divine Punishnt even appears, our headquarters would be wiped out by the Alliance army."

"But that’s what Heaven said..."

"I know!" Gray Mist raised his voice slightly, "I understand their limitations, but I’m afraid they aren’t aware of our predicant. Contact them again, tell them that regardless of the cost, the Divine Punishnt must descend within half an hour, even if it’s the lowest level—it’s better than nothing. And if they can’t do it, no need to bother then. I’ll try to personally contact the True God—I don’t believe the True God would tolerate the sacrifice of all his earthly devotees! Yes, the heavenly citizens are closer to God, but citizens aren’t everything, we on earth are the foundation!"

At the end of the statent, Gray Mist turned to glare at Gorlov, scolding, "Go on, relay my words to them verbatim. What are you standing there for!"

"Yes, yes." Gorlov awoke from his daze and quickly ran out of the hall to make contact again.

...

A few minutes later.

"Bang!"

Gorlov pushed open the door, appearing exhausted, gasping heavily, without uttering a word, but he nodded vigorously at Gray Mist who was waiting.

This indicated that Heaven had relented, and the Divine Punishnt would descend within half an hour.

"Very well," Gray Mist acknowledged aloud, gave Gorlov a glance and instructed, "Next, gather personnel. Once Divine Punishnt descends, attack, strive to ensure that none from the Alliance return, teaching them a profound lesson."

"Yes~"

Gorlov uttered in a distorted voice, turned, and left the hall again.

Gray Mist, remaining in the hall, gazed coldly, exuding an air thick with a killer’s intent.
