Not far away, the Eight-Ard Skeleton Anan appeared unaffected by the impact of the Energy Wave. He quietly watched Pandora and the Witch Demon Elder’s actions, showing no interest in joining them, with a look of indifference.
What he was interested in now were bone materials, bone materials, and bone materials.
With a slight tilt of his head, he glanced at the crowd of Magic Puppets made by the Witch Demon Elder beside him. He found that the Soul Fire of all the Magic Puppets had extinguished and lost their life force. Reaching out, he gently tapped on the nearest Magic Puppet, and with a "crash," like dominoes, a large piece of the Magic Puppets fell, shattering into bone fragnts on the ground.
The Ghost Fire in the eye sockets of the Eight-Ard Skeleton Anan flickered a few tis, quite surprised. The next mont he shrugged his shoulders, feeling no moral pressure, and unhesitatingly began picking up the bones, like picking money off the street.
The Witch Demon Elder did not see the actions of the Eight-Ard Skeleton. By now, he and Pandora had charged to the door of Research Room No.3, dragging a Black Scythe ford by black mist behind him, ready to engage in battle at any mont.
Pandora was also not willing to lag behind. With her small face full of anger, she was extrely annoyed by the recent misstep. Not bothering to open the door, she kicked it with a "thud," sending the sturdy door flying and quickly entered the room.
Inside the room, several ergency lights flickered, illuminating a giant glass container in the center resembling a pool.
In the glass container, two-thirds full of Nutrient Liquid, a Tin Wood nearly two ters tall was soaking quietly, not looking like the culprit of mischief but more like an innocent bystander.
Pandora didn’t care about all this. To her, it was undoubtedly Tin Wood causing trouble—the more innocent it seed, the bigger the sche.
"Clatter!"
Stepping down, Pandora reached the glass container, stretched out one hand, and fished Tin Wood out from the Nutrient Liquid, while the other hand ford into a fist ready to strike.
A human face quickly appeared on Tin Wood’s trunk, looking at Pandora’s actions, with a stunned and bewildered expression, involuntarily shouting, "Hey, little girl, you... what are you doing!"
"Hitting you!" Pandora replied with great vigor.
"Why hit ?" Tin Wood was even more stunned.
"Because you caused trouble again."
"Where did I cause trouble?"
"You know it yourself."
"I really don’t know, hey, I really don’t know." Tin Wood tried hard to explain, "I’ve been here trying to consolidate my origin power, to restore my normal body, alright. I was almost successful, but just now a burst of so unknown Energy disturbance hit , causing quite so damage. It looks like it will take at least three more days to fully recover."
"I don’t believe it." Pandora responded.
Tin Wood was a bit angry, "Little girl, you need to provide evidence! Though it was my fault for trying to force my way out last ti, this ti I clearly didn’t cause any trouble. You can’t just accuse baselessly."
"This—"
Pandora frowned, finding so truth in Tin Wood’s words, but rembering his previous actions, she felt she couldn’t easily trust him and needed to test him a bit.
Once deciding, Pandora didn’t hesitate and swung her fist heavily on Tin Wood’s trunk.
"Pop! Bang!"
Pandora’s punch landed on Tin Wood, the force causing a dull Air Explosion sound, but surprisingly, Tin Wood’s trunk only slightly trembled and remained unhard, not even leaving a white mark.
Pandora’s eyes widened, becoming cautious. She rembered clearly that a previously injured Tin Wood could have its trunk broken by her punch. Now even when Tin Wood wasn’t injured, the punch had no effect; it was too exaggerated.
Was she becoming weak?
No, Tin Wood had beco strong.
Pandora slowly retreated, preparing ntally to withstand a counterattack from Tin Wood.
But Tin Wood didn’t do so. He rely glanced at Pandora and said, "What, you yelled so fiercely earlier, but now you hit once and stopped? Hmph!"
"Your defense has beco stronger." Pandora blinked and said.
"I don’t need you to remind ; I know it myself."
"How did you manage that?"
"It’s simple. Earlier you broke my body with a punch, it taught a lesson." Tin Wood responded in a rather annoyed tone, "To avoid that happening again, while consolidating my origin power, I greatly increased my defensive power at the expense of attack power. Now, the hardness, Magic Resistance, and other aspects of my body have greatly improved. In a way, my body can surpass many Magic Weapons."
"So you’ve been planning to cause trouble all along. That Energy Wave earlier, it was indeed you." Pandora said suspiciously.
"What! Don’t you understand words, little girl!" Tin Wood spoke with so agitation, "I’ve already said, it wasn’t , it wasn’t ! I’m also a victim, you know! Why would I decrease attack power and increase defensive power? Isn’t it to ensure my survival and stay here for decades.
Otherwise, if I were preparing to force my way out like last ti, I’d reduce defensive power and increase attack power. After all, strong attack and weak defense have a chance. Weak attack and strong defense, trying to resist, would just make a target for you to keep hitting?"
"This—" Pandora, logical as she was, understood Tin Wood’s words and hesitated.
At this point, the Witch Demon Elder also realized the oddness and turned to Tin Wood muttering, "There’s definitely a logic to that. But then, who else could have caused that Energy Wave if it wasn’t you?"
"Yeah." Pandora, also perplexed, pointed at Tin Wood and the Witch Demon Elder, "There aren’t that many people in Eden to begin with, besides you two, , that Skeleton outside, and Little Bell, right?"
"Actually, there’s also ." A voice rang out, and as Pandora and the Witch Demon Elder turned, they saw Richard walking in from outside with a sowhat peculiar expression.
"You?" Pandora stared at Richard and asked, "Was it you who created that Energy Wave earlier? Why?" She hadn’t counted Richard when adding up people earlier. It was because, in her eyes, Richard seed to have already destroyed Eden once before, it was hard to imagine him doing so again.
After all, she had only made one mistake and wouldn’t make the sa mistake a second ti.
Could Richard be even more foolish than her?
She always thought Richard was much smarter than her.
"It was a sort of accident." Richard said helplessly to Pandora, "A seemingly normal explosives experint unexpectedly produced completely unforeseen results, causing this situation."
At that mont, Richard was genuinely puzzled.
He had just checked Eden’s conditions and found the damage wasn’t as severe as he imagined, nor light. The main damages were concentrated on the Energy System and so equipnt derived from it, with wires lted and short-circuited, and so operating Magic Runes also damaged.
It was hard to imagine that an explosives experint could result in such outcos.
