"Why can't you guys just say it at the sa ti? You know the reason why I'm disliked, I should at least get to know why everyone dislikes you, right? That would only be fair." Wang Qi looked at Chen Youjia and then at Chen Feng, offering up a very constructive suggestion.

Unfortunately, this suggestion was unanimously rejected by the other two parties involved.

"Sure, as long as you don't mind erasing your mory after I'm done talking."

"Sa here."

Wang Qi cried out, "Hey, hey, does that even count as telling ? And Junior Sister, do you know the Soul Domain spell? Do you?"

"It's Senior Sister." Chen Youjia corrected him tirelessly before explaining coolly, "A blow to the head can cause the brain to forget certain things. Although depending on the force and angle used, there might be deviations in what gets forgotten, but with enough attempts, you can surely forget any specific detail."

Wang Qi yelled, "Get it straight! It's because of you, Chen Feng's ntor, and you, Chen Youjia's dear dad, that I've ended up in this ss. Is it so difficult to share your grievances to cheer up? What happened to sticking together through hard tis?"

"Sticking together?" Chen Youjia clearly didn't understand Wang Qi's Earth-style phrase. She looked at Chen Feng sarcastically, "You do have a talent for self-deprecation. Back at the Immortal Institute, everyone hailed you as the future Carefree, and quite a few people advised you not to befriend . And now, you can only find companions in misfortune?"

"Cough cough, I chose my own path..."

Chen Youjia was unsparing, "In other words, you brought it upon yourself."

Chen Feng, frustrated, said, "If we weren't old friends, I'd have to beat you up, even if you are younger and a lady."

"Alright, alright, let's continue to be lovingly disliked together!" Wang Qi took on the air of a bystander, one hand on Chen Feng's shoulder and the other arm around Chen Youjia, "Since fate has brought us together to be disliked, why not just strike while the iron's hot and swear brotherhood... mmph!"

Chen Youjia calmly elbowed Wang Qi in the ribs, shutting him up, "Too close."

Wang Qi stepped back a few paces, clutching his ribs. Chen Youjia set a paper-wrapped package on the table which turned out to be three roast ducks.

"Fruit wood roasted, perfectly marinated, and most importantly, fresh out of the oven." Chen Youjia told Chen Feng, "That's why I bought them."

Chen Feng didn't get it, "Then what?"

"You should've prepared a carving knife, spring onions, and sweet bean sauce..."

"Sorry, no such luck."

"Buy so."

"Oh." Chen Feng pretended to look at Wang Qi, "Go buy it, all those things she ntioned. It's your job to run errands according to our initial agreent."

Wang Qi simply cut a piece of duck with his Sword Qi and popped it into his mouth, "No need to make such a fuss."

Chen Youjia suddenly nodded in agreent, "Indeed, the duck is flavorful enough, might as well try it in its original taste."

"Such a quick change of heart." Chen Feng shook his head slightly, then joined in on the at feast.

Chen Feng and Wang Qi had both fought hard battles and were quite spent; eating was a good way to relieve so of the physical stress. As for Chen Youjia, she simply loved to eat. The three ducks quickly found their way into their stomachs.

Wang Qi let out a greasy belch and then thanked Chen Youjia, "Thanks, Senior Sister."

"No need, it's trivial."

"I an, for exposing the principle behind Suo Wenhong's swordsmanship when I was dueling him."

Chen Youjia's expression didn't change as she replied calmly, "You just happened to overhear it, don't read too much into it."

Wang Qi looked at Chen Youjia sowhat stunned. Shouldn't her character setting be the tsundere type, cold on the outside but warm on the inside? Wasn't this the ti to say sothing tsundere like "Hmph, it's not like I did it for you"?

Chen Youjia felt uncomfortable under Wang Qi's stare and touched her face, "Do I have grease sared on my face from eating?"

"No, it's nothing." Wang Qi quickly abandoned his thoughts and asked, "Is that Taiyu Swordsmanship sothing all Wanfa Sect disciples can learn?"

Chen Youjia nodded, "It's a fundantal skill. Those above the Foundation Establishnt Stage know so of the Taiyu Skill, whereas Cosmic Light Skill is usually not learned until reaching the Golden Core Stage."

"So it's fundantal skill..." Zhen Chan, who had nearly faded into obscurity, wailed from within the ring. Back in his Divine Separation Stage, when he first encountered the Taiyu Skill, he was so thrilled, thinking himself a unique genius in the Cultivation World. Little did he expect that what made him proud a thousand years ago beca a basic skill for Foundation Establishnt Cultivators in the present!

"Old predecessor, so you can maintain conscious awareness," Chen Feng's voice suddenly intruded on Zhen Chan's thoughts, "I thought you were one of those Residual Souls that mostly slumber with only brief monts of clarity."

Zhen Chan suddenly felt a wave of defeat. This was the third ti others had discovered him. He asked, "What do you seek for?"

Chen Feng's voice suddenly ward up, "Old predecessor, as you know, a Residual Soul has a hard ti recovering and faces many inconveniences. Even with a physical body, it would take a long ti to get used to it. Our Yangshen Pavilion specializes in soul research, and a Residual Soul is of great research value to us. Many venerable souls dug up from ancient graves or unearthed from antique shops choose to join our Yangshen Pavilion's research..."

If Wang Qi were listening, he'd surely recognize the cadence of a salesman making a pitch.

Wang Qi only felt a strange sensation from the ring. His cultivation level was too low to fully master this Immortal Artifact—of course, ever since he learned the true nature of this "abacus," he hadn't bothered to refine it with much care. He ignored the ring and turned to Chen Youjia, "Can I also learn the basic skill?"

Chen Youjia nodded, "Do you want to learn? I'll teach you."

"Wow, Senior Sister, you're so straightforward!"

Chen Feng was busy persuading Zhen Chan and didn't object to Chen Youjia's decision, rely reminding Wang Qi, "Normally, it's a basic skill of the Foundation Establishnt Stage. Practicing it in advance might not be useful for you."

Wang Qi brimd with confidence, "I've even managed to take down a True Inheritor of Wanfa Sect at the Foundation Establishnt Stage, so I might just be able to learn it too."

At that mont, Wang Qi was unaware of Chen Youjia's subtle and nearly imperceptible smile. Her smile was laced with malice, as she was ready to lead soone down the garden path.

Wang Qi just felt that being with these two characters was quite enjoyable.
