Close the door.

Du Wei walked out of the psychological counseling clinic.

In his hand, he still carried the antique clock covered with a white cloth and Annabelle.

Seeing this outside the clinic, Tom asked curiously, "What're you holding there?"

Du Wei said indifferently, "What do you think it is?"

"Of course, it's valua—err, of course, it's sothing valuable."

Tom stumbled over his words. Having spent so much ti with Father Tony, he had absorbed so knowledge about exorcism, so he guessed that his good buddy was probably carrying so kind of Evil Spirit dium.

But it was sothing even more terrifying than that.

Du Wei looked at him deeply and said, "I can't live in my house anymore. I need to find a place to stay and take care of so things."

Tom asked, puzzled, "Are you moving in with your girlfriend?"

Du Wei thought for a mont and then said, "No, I plan to find a secluded place, or perhaps open an exorcism clinic. Anything will do, but I need a private space."

Bringing the antique clock and Annabelle to Alex's place was not quite ideal.

After all, she was his girlfriend. If sothing scared her, there was no explaining it away.

The most important thing was that among the items he carried with him, many were hiding Evil Spirits.

A private space was essential.

Hearing this, Tom suddenly realized sothing and then gave Du Wei a thumbs-up: "A man indeed should have his private space. I once thought about buying a little room in the Red Light District just for myself to live in."

Then, his expression changed, and he cursed, "But I've long since killed that idea. I'm never going to that disgusting place again, the Red Light District."

This piqued Du Wei's interest.

He had just recently cured Tom's unntionable problem. Given Tom's personality, he should've been eager to strut around the Red Light District every day. How could he possibly be repulsed by it?

"What on earth happened to you?"

With an odd tone, Du Wei asked.

"Don't tell you've encountered so other weirdness?"

Tom's face turned green: "Don't ntion it, just thinking about it makes sick. Damn it, I got drunk with Father Tony yesterday. Didn't get with any won but instead partied all night in a bar full of n."

"Fuck! It makes sick. You should understand what I an by 'bar', right?"

Du Wei's eyelids twitched.

He quickly followed up, "You… are you okay? Did you go to the hospital? You better not catch any diseases…"

Tom said with a frustrated face: "Luckily I'm ugly, so those guys didn't touch . Otherwise, I'd probably be in the proctology hospital by now."

"What about Father Tony?"

"He's fine too. Even though he was quite handso when he was young, he's freaking nearly sixty now. Who would be so twisted to ss with him?"

Du Wei finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He looked at Tom with a complex gaze, wanting to say sothing but could only let out a helpless sigh.

"How do you two always end up in such strange situations?"

Tom said helplessly, "I'd like to know that too, sigh... life is tough for ."

Having said that, Tom slapped his forehead and continued, "Right, since you're fine here, I'll take my people and go. I still have to organize a strike against the Red Light District."

"Damn it, if I find out who's behind that bar, I'll make sure they get a suspended death sentence."

This grudge was second only to the Veda Sect.

As soone who always slept with others, Tom almost got slept with instead. This rage and fear left him feeling frustrated and angry.

Du Wei could only nod and say, "If that's the case, I'll take my leave first. I need to find a new ho and handle so paperwork."

No sooner had he spoken.

Suddenly, Du Wei's brows furrowed, and a flicker of peculiarity crossed his eyes.

He looked up into the distance, where a link in his mind that had long been severed began to show signs of restoration.

...

At this very mont.

At Dusk Bell Church elsewhere.

Jas had co back to life.

He felt as if he had been in a very long dream, full of pain and suppression, endlessly falling into darkness.

```
It felt like there was no end.
He had been sinking for a long ti, with a strange noise always whispering in his ears.
It sounded like a deity, or perhaps like devils murmuring softly, indescribably uncomfortable.
"Huff..."
Jas let out a long exhale and slowly opened his eyes.
Then, he saw a face he never wanted to see in his life appear before him.
Disheveled golden hair, grinning at him, "You're awake again, and it's who saved you—now you owe two hundred billion in dical fees."
Two hundred billion!!!
Shock ran through Jas at these words, and he sat up straight.
"Ryan! Get the fuck away from !"
His voice was filled with anger.
Ryan frowned, noting the problem.
He snorted coldly and said, "Patient Jas, do you think I, Ryan, am easy to bully?"
"You fucking owe two hundred billion!"
"Do you understand that?"
"If you don't pay back, I'll piss and shit all over your room every day!"
Jas couldn't be bothered to deal with Ryan, the lunatic, and turned his head to look around, noticing many mbers of Dusk Bell in his room.
The closest was Tiquel.
Not knowing that this person was there to monitor him and Ryan, he asked, "Tiquel, how long was I out?"
Tiquel replied with a bizarre expression, "About two or three days, to be precise, you were dead for two or three days. Um... Mr. Jas, I have to say, you really should thank Ryan. He saved you once again."
Jas was dumbfounded.
What did that an?
He had been dead for two or three days?
And Ryan was the one who saved him?
It seed like he did nothing, just had so IV drips, and that killed him?
The others saw the confusion on Jas's face, feeling just as baffled themselves, and roughly explained the situation.
"Two days ago, you suddenly stopped breathing and were lying dead in your room."
"Our initial guess was that it might have been due to so unresolved food poisoning, but anyway, you had been lying dead for two days."
"We were about to put Holy Nail in you and send you for cremation, but Ryan insisted you could still be saved. He tried his electrotherapy on you and even fed you so hot water."
"Oh, he insists that hot water was so sort of dicine, all weird and stuff, but regardless, you're alive again!"
Upon hearing this.
Jas looked at Ryan with a complicated expression.
Ryan, proud as ever, lifted his head and said disdainfully, "Don't look at with such adoration. Saving you again might just be a small step for , Ryan, but it's a giant leap for the entire dical world. It won't be long before Dusk Bell Psychiatric Hospital becos world-famous."
"At that ti, even the director will look at differently, and my title evaluation will be a sure thing!"
"Rest assured, Jas, as long as I, Ryan, am here, you won't die in this lifeti!"
Listening to Ryan's madcap speech.
A flicker of emotion stirred in Jas's heart.
He extended his hand, wanting to pat Ryan on the shoulder to show his gratitude.
But then he discovered that his only remaining hand had lost all feeling.
Looking down, he saw his entire right hand wrapped in bandages.
Faintly, he could sll sothing burnt...
Jas asked in horror, "My hand? What happened to my hand!"
Ryan scratched his head and said, "About that... electrotherapy, you know. We don't exactly have the best equipnt here at the psychiatric hospital, so I had to stick your hand in a socket, and... well, I might have left it there a tad too long."
"But don't worry, your hand is sure to recover."
"Plus, as your attending physician, I've got it all planned out for you. During your recovery, I'll feed you and give you drinks every day. Don't be embarrassed, I am definitely going to take responsibility for you to the very end."
