Chapter 392: 390, it is relatively resistant
Through the broken gate.
Du Wei proceeded cautiously in the darkness.
This was his second ti entering the Horror House.
Compared to before, he had more thods at his disposal, and he was stronger.
But the Horror House had beco even more terrifying than before.
The balance of power seed to have co full circle, returning to a remote point.
...
Of course, this ti was different from before.
The first ti he entered the Horror House, Du Wei did so purely for Annabelle. After discovering the anomaly, he was trapped and had no choice but to find a way to escape.
But now, Du Wei ca with the intention of wreaking havoc.
The hundreds of marked Evil Spirits, along with the bus, ford Du Wei’s most reliable support.
After all, his Marking Ability was utterly unreasonable.
The marked Evil Spirits couldn’t even sense it. The mont it was activated, even if an Evil Spirit was killing soone, it would appear by Du Wei’s side imdiately.
Utterly despicable.
Just that the Horror House had turned eerie, different from the original Horror House.
There were no lights, only darkness all around.
But the occasional eerie music kept ringing around him.
Under Spirit Vision.
The sense of oppression grew stronger.
The deeper Du Wei went into the Horror House, the more intense the strange feelings from the enclosed space beca.
There really were Evil Spirits in the Horror House.
But he hadn’t seen any so far.
It seed as if all the Evil Spirits had vanished.
Too quiet.
But the malice lurking in the shadows kept erging in Du Wei’s heart, elusive yet constant.
He lowered the frequency of his breathing, and his steps beca lighter.
This significantly slowed his progress.
But the more he advanced, the more he needed to be cautious.
Otherwise, should any trouble arise, it could lead to the failure of his plan, or even to his death here.
The further he walked,
the slower Du Wei’s pace beca.
Yet, as he was passing through a corridor, suddenly… he heard a very faint whispering sound.
It sounded like soone whispering secrets.
Accompanying it was a drip-drop sound of water.
As if water was leaking sowhere.
But what his nose detected was a faint sll of blood.
Du Wei frowned and stopped in his tracks.
In his mory, the first part of the Horror House was that Japanese-style ghost building.
Just past this corridor, it would co into view.
The ghost building was wooden, with a narrow space hiding under the tatami mats, and within, there was the presence of a Ghost.
It would stick its head out, looking upward, and anyone who approached would beco its target.
“But what’s with the blood sll I heard and slled?”
Du Wei was very puzzled.
He touched the mask on his face and carefully peeped forward, his Spirit Vision revealing that indeed, in front of him was the Japanese-style ghost building.
But the Ghost that was supposed to be there did not appear.
All he could see was deadly silence.
The whispering had also disappeared.
“Sothing’s not right…”
Du Wei turned and walked away. In this situation, there was no need to tangle with the beings in the Horror House.
Nor was there a need to explore the so-called secrets.
Safety was the main priority.
…
A few minutes later.
Back at the sa spot.
Du Wei’s eyes were sowhat icy.
He had just turned to try another route to bypass this place, but unexpectedly, he found himself back here again.
At this mont.
Du Wei was at one end of the corridor, and right in front was that Japanese-style ghost building.
The whispering sound had vanished.
And the dripping water sound was no longer there.
He knew sothing had set its sights on him, or rather, since he had entered the Horror House, certain beings had always been hidden in the darkness, their chilling eyes watching him quietly from the shadows.
Leaving no way out.
I could only move forward, retreating was entirely futile.
This was not a matter of the senses being confused.
With Du Wei’s current Spirit Vision, the Evil Spirit could not affect him at all.
Unless it was a Demon Spirit.
But at that ti, rcer had ntioned that the Demon Spirit with a mask had left the Horror House and gone elsewhere.
More importantly, Du Wei was feeling an anxious restlessness in his heart right now.
He had a premonition that he might die.
Thinking this,
he hesitated for a mont and then took out the envelope from his pocket.
He needed so useful information.
The mont the letter was drawn out, text rapidly appeared on the paper.
[You entered the Horror House five minutes ago, and as you passed through a corridor, you found a haunted house ahead with so strange occurrences. You chose to turn back, but it had no effect, and you found yourself back at a distant point.]
Reading the content on the letter, Du Wei silently took out his lighter.
He did not need the letter to repeat a portion of his experience.
Suddenly,
the letter, as if alard, saw the text instantly disappear, replaced by—[Mighty master, perhaps you could try letting the shadow scout ahead since it can withstand more]
Indeed, a scout was needed.
Du Wei touched the mask on his face and pressed the lighter.
Suddenly, the paper caught fire.
The surrounding scenery was illuminated by the flas.
Then, Du Wei tossed the burning envelope away.
For so reason, he suddenly felt a sense of fatigue.
Outside,
a pale woman’s face flashed by, its silhouette was very transparent.
That was the Ghost.
As soon as it appeared, it lunged at the burning paper.
Regrettably, it had no effect. The paper quickly burned up and reappeared inside the envelope Du Wei was holding.
The envelope seed to be the real object.
Du Wei looked at the Ghost that flashed outside, his eyes full of questions.
A Ghost could make him feel like he was going to die?
What a joke!
On the spot, Du Wei paused, pondering over the problem.
There was no danger outside the passage as he had imagined.
But the whispered conversations and the drip-drip of water he heard at the start had ceased to occur.
Why was that?
Did the entity making the noises leave?
Suddenly…
Whispering voices rose up to Du Wei’s ears.
With it, there was also the dripping sound of water.
The sound was so faint that it was impossible to make out what exactly was being said; perhaps it wasn’t speaking at all but was intentionally affecting sothing.
Du Wei suddenly raised his head.
He saw nothing.
But the next second, without hesitation, he rushed forward.
The woman’s Ghost was startled again.
In the darkness, two Daggers slashed through the air.
The Ghost was vanquished.
Du Wei turned his head to look back, and the passage had completely vanished, replaced by a thick wall.
He lifted his Right Hand expressionlessly.
Blood was seeping from his wrist.
In that corridor, sothing had struck at him.
The scent of blood he had just slled was his own.
“That corridor… sothing’s not right…”
Du Wei’s face was very pale as he hurriedly wiped the blood from his wrist, finding no wound.
While he was in the passage, the voices he heard, their significance was unclear, but the dripping sound originated from his own blood loss.
Yet, Du Wei felt nothing at all.
Even when he lit the paper, he didn’t see it.
If he had stayed a mont longer, he would have died from excessive bleeding.
Without any warning, Du Wei had not anticipated that even a corridor in the Horror House could be so strange.
Moreover, he hadn’t even encountered anything head-on.
Du Wei didn’t even know what entity had struck at him.
