Middle of the night!
Lin Banxia was suddenly jolted awake by a nightmare. As she woke, she reached out and hooked her arms around the man’s shoulder, pressing her cheek tightly against his handso face.
Huo Yanting felt her small movent and woke up!
"What’s wrong?" he asked.
Lin Banxia reached out and switched on the bedside lamp, her eyes fixed intently on him: "I had a nightmare. I dread you got into a car accident. There was so much blood. Huo Yanting, you haven’t agreed yet. Please don’t go on your business trip, okay? Stay ho. Don’t go anywhere!"
Huo Yanting looked at her frightened little face and smiled gently, stroking her long hair: "Go back to sleep. Nothing bad will happen to ."
"Promise , okay? Otherwise, I won’t be able to sleep!" Lin Banxia buried herself in his arms, pleading again and again, "Huo Yanting, I forbid you from getting hurt. Promise , please!"
Huo Yanting could only nod: "Alright, I promise you. I won’t go anywhere. For these three days, I’ll stay by your side."
"Alright!" Only then did Lin Banxia close her eyes and drift back to sleep.
Huo Yanting held her close, but suddenly, all traces of sleep vanished from his mind!
Could it be that he really will face danger? Does his uncle truly hate him so much that he wants him gone for good?
He believed Lin Banxia wouldn’t say such things carelessly. If in his previous life his uncle had truly done such horrific things to him, then in this life, the man probably wouldn’t show him any rcy either.

The next morning, Lin Banxia woke up to find Huo Yanting no longer beside her. She quickly climbed out of bed, hurriedly threw on a jacket, and headed upstairs.
Her hurried steps alard Mrs. Huo, who was seated downstairs.
"Banxia! Walk slower. What’s the rush? Be careful of the child!" The elderly woman instantly warned her when she saw her running downstairs like that.
Lin Banxia quickly stopped and anxiously asked, "Grandma, where’s Huo Yanting?"
"He’s outside jogging. What’s the matter?" Mrs. Huo replied.
Lin Banxia finally felt relieved. She slowly walked up to Mrs. Huo and smiled, "Nothing, I was just curious."
"Look at you! Didn’t even comb your hair, wearing sothing like that. If the servants saw you, they’d think you’re being careless. Go upstairs now and change into sothing proper before coming back down!" Mrs. Huo reproached her sharply.
Lin Banxia lowered her head and looked at herself. An unkempt look: a nightgown underneath, a pink puffer jacket on top, fuzzy slippers on her feet, her two pale calves exposed—indeed, she wasn’t dressed properly.
"I’ll head upstairs and change now!" Despite being scolded, Lin Banxia didn’t react angrily. Instead, she joyfully headed upstairs.
Mrs. Huo frowned!
By the ti Lin Banxia ca back downstairs, she was already dressed neatly.
"Grandma, why are you here?" Lin Banxia asked curiously.
"I had nothing to do, so I wandered around and ended up here," Grandma laughed.
"Grandma, why don’t we go to your place? Breakfast should be ready soon, right?" Lin Banxia reached out, held Grandma’s arm, and she happily nodded in agreent.
The two walked together on the garden path, both in good spirits.
Unexpectedly, they ran into Luo i and her daughter, Huo Anya.
From a distance, seeing Lin Banxia holding Grandma’s arm, Luo i sneered aloud: "Look at that! She’s just got engaged and is already sucking up to Grandma."
