Chu Tingting tactfully avoided attending Huo Yanting and Lin Banxia’s engagent ceremony, sitting alone in her room, bitterly cursing Lin Banxia.

I just want to know—if he died, would you grieve for him?" Chu Younan didn’t want his daughter probing too deeply, as nothing had been finalized yet.
Chu Tingting bit her lip and said painfully, "If he were my husband, I certainly wouldn’t let anyone hurt him. But sadly, he’s about to marry Lin Banxia. The man I can’t have—I won’t allow anyone else to have him either. Daddy, I wouldn’t grieve for him."
