At the dining table, Cheng Roning kept placing food into Lin Banxia’s bowl, her gaze filled with concern as she looked at Banxia’s frail figure, repeatedly reminding her, "Banxia, you’re too skinny, you need to eat more!"

Lin Banxia stared at the mountain-like pile of delicacies in her bowl and couldn’t help but laugh. "Mom, stop giving food, I can’t finish it."

Beside her, ng Jie stuck out her tongue playfully. "With my big sister back ho, I can tell I’m going to lose all the favoritism now."

Lin Banxia felt a little embarrassed at her sister’s teasing and said, "Jiahui, don’t worry, I won’t compete with you for mom’s affection."

"Sis, I was just joking with you!"

Mu Jiyang joined in the banter from the side, "Banxia, don’t take her seriously. This little rascal has always been spoiled, that’s why she’s so cheeky!"

Cheng Roning watched her children teasing one another and couldn’t stop the smile forming on her face.

Not wanting to worry her mom, Lin Banxia tried hard to finish all the food that her mom had given her.

Unfortunately, when she bit into a piece of pork trotter, she suddenly felt her stomach turn.

She couldn’t help but cover her mouth and gagged once.

"Banxia, what’s wrong?" Cheng Roning heard her retching and was imdiately filled with concern.

ng Jiahui giggled and said, "Sis, don’t eat so fast! If you eat so quickly, no wonder you feel like choking!"

Lin Banxia thought perhaps she’d eaten too much and felt nauseous. She blushed and said, "That might be it. I’ll stop eating now—being too full isn’t good either!"

Cheng Roning still didn’t feel reassured and asked, "Banxia, are you sure you’re okay? Is your stomach feeling uncomfortable?"

Lin Banxia imdiately shook her head. "No, mom. Maybe I really just ate too much too quickly."

Mu Jiyang rolled his eyes at her and remarked, "Banxia, you’re so silly. Mom gave you so much food, and you actually tried to eat it all?"

Hearing this, Cheng Roning imdiately felt a bit guilty. "It’s my fault—I gave you too much food. Banxia, don’t force yourself if you can’t finish it!"

"Alright, mom. I’m going to get so water." After leaving the dining table, Lin Banxia poured herself a glass of water, hoping to ease the nausea.

Unfortunately, for so reason, even standing so distance away from the table, she could still sll the greasy aromas of the food.

It was precisely this sll that made her stomach feel even more uncomfortable, the urge to gag rising up again.

"Mom, you all take your ti eating. I’m going upstairs to pack my luggage!" Not wanting to vomit again, Lin Banxia fled upstairs in a hurry.

As soon as she entered her bedroom, she rushed into the bathroom, crouched in front of the toilet, and gagged uncontrollably.

However, strangely enough, despite the strong nausea, she couldn’t throw anything up, and tears stread out from her eyes.

"What’s wrong with ? Could it be that I really have a stomach issue?" Lin Banxia lay on the bed in frustration, her hand repeatedly rubbing her chest to ease the discomfort.

It seed she would have to go to the hospital for a checkup later this afternoon.

Maybe it was because she knew how fleeting life was that Lin Banxia was scared out of her wits. She was terrified her body might have problems again.

After finally reuniting with her mom and finding the man she loved, she desperately wished she could ask the heavens to grant her another hundred years.

She didn’t want to die. She wanted to live and stay by her family and lover’s side.

After lying on the bed for a while and feeling slightly better, she started packing her luggage.

In the afternoon, Cheng Roning and Mu Jiyang had work to do at the company, and ng Jiahui also went to school for her classes.

Lin Banxia decided to go to the hospital for a thorough checkup.
