Yan Ting ignored Huo Qinglin’s enraged roar and calmly said, "Regarding the shortcomings in your proposal this ti, I’ll mark them for you. If you can calm down and take a closer look, ask yourself—was your work truly flawless?"

Huo Qinglin’s accumulated fury instantly deflated, like a balloon pricked by a needle.

He knew full well that Yan Ting had an extraordinary talent for work, which was precisely why their grandfather valued him so highly.

No one likes admitting their own incompetence and failure, but after being ground down by reality ti and ti again, Huo Qinglin began to understand the gap between himself and Yan Ting.

He was unwilling to accept it!

"You should investigate who’s behind instructing those people to stir up trouble. I suspect they won’t let Lin Banxia off so easily." After a long silence, Huo Qinglin looked at him again, his tone much calr.

"Of course. I’ll handle the investigation. Just focus on recovering," Yan Ting said. Seeing that Huo Qinglin had woken up with no major issues, he decided to leave.

Huo Qinglin took a deep breath and weakly collapsed back onto the hospital bed.

His head was groggy, but he could vaguely rember the image of that woman throwing herself toward him.

A slight smile curled at the corner of his lips. Huo Qinglin thought, Lin Banxia wasn’t that indifferent to him after all. At the very least, she cared about whether he lived or died, didn’t she?

He was convinced that after saving her once, her attitude toward him would definitely soften.

As long as Lin Banxia continued to cling to him sweetly like before, Huo Qinglin felt that even injuring his head had been worth it.

Tong Keke’s heart thumped wildly at the thought of having a romantic dinner with Gu Qianxi that evening.

She couldn’t even rember how long it had been since they’d had dinner together.

For so ti, he had deliberately distanced himself from her. Even when they made plans to eat, there was always soone else around, leaving her no room to freely express herself.

But tonight, surely she could do whatever she wanted with her "little uncle."

Pure excitent!

She couldn’t wait for the night to fall.

Hugging her books to her chest, Tong Keke walked along the corridor. A refined, gentle-looking middle-aged woman approached from the other end and froze in shock upon seeing her.

"Young lady... are you Tong Keke?" The middle-aged woman tightly gripped her handbag, her expression mixing exhilaration with nervousness.

Tong Keke looked up at her briefly and said flatly, "Yes, I am! Are you looking for ? Who are you? I don’t believe we’ve t."

The middle-aged woman’s face fell instantly, her eyes brimming with tears. She suppressed her emotions and calmly said, "May I speak with you privately for a mont?"

"I don’t have ti right now; I have a class to get to!" Tong Keke glanced at the watch on her wrist, frowning in mild frustration.

"Alright, go ahead to your class first. We can talk later," the middle-aged woman responded without any insistence, her mood visibly brightening as she encouraged Keke to leave.

Tong Keke gave her a strange look, noticing her reddened eyes.

Without dwelling on it, Tong Keke turned to leave, only to have a female classmate rush over, curious. "Keke, who was that? Do you know her?"

"I don’t know her. How am I supposed to know who she is?" Tong Keke replied, just as confused.

"You kind of look like her, though. Do you think she might be your mom?" another girl teased.

Tong Keke froze, a shudder running through her body. She stopped in her tracks and turned back. The woman was still standing there, watching her with a conflicted expression. When their eyes t, the woman quickly smiled at her.

A very bad feeling rose within Tong Keke. She quickened her pace.

Her voice was icy as she replied, "She’s definitely not my mom. My mom has been gone for years."
