Yan Ting clearly didn’t expect this little woman to ask him for assurances, and he was montarily stunned.
Lin Banxia curled her lips into a smile and chuckled softly, "I’m teasing you. How could you possibly cut ties with her now? But you must promise , even if your grandfather insists on pushing her by your side, you can’t develop any feelings for her, not even a shred of thought about her."
Yan Ting let out a low laugh: "Are you jealous?"
"Yes, I’m jealous." Lin Banxia answered with a straight face.
Yan Ting gently tilted her small face upward, his thin lips passionately brushing against hers as he whispered, "Don’t worry, I won’t have any relationship with her. She’s just my assistant right now, and I’m planning on driving her away from soon."
"She was sent by your grandfather—how are you going to force her to leave?" Lin Banxia felt her uneasiness lting away as she listened to him.
"I’ll overload her with tasks until she voluntarily resigns." Yan Ting’s tone turned icy.
"Dealing with such a delicate girl, do you really have the heart for it?" Lin Banxia pouted her lips, doubting his words.
Yan Ting sneered coldly: "She’s far from delicate—she’s full of sches. Otherwise, how do you think she ended up in my orbit?"
"Wasn’t it because your grandfather wanted her to learn from you?" Lin Banxia was thoroughly surprised and a bit curious.
"Of course not. First, she approached my grandmother under the pretext of wanting to work at the company. Next, she actively sought out my grandfather, chatting him up and making him happy, earning his favor and trust. If it were you, you would never resort to such intentional ans to get close to , isn’t that right?" "I can be calculating too, don’t you rember? How I offended your grandmother and embarrassed Huo Qinglin? I only managed those things because of my sches." As soon as Lin Banxia heard him call her silly, she imdiately retorted.
Yan Ting’s amusent deepened as he touched her earlobe, pinching it lightly: "Your so-called sches are child’s play to . But for so reason, your little tricks make find you adorable, while Chu Tingting makes feel nothing but distaste. Maybe it’s that confident façade she wears on her face, as if she believes her scheming can win her everything with ease. She’s far too naïve."
Lin Banxia could tell Yan Ting wasn’t lying to her. She instinctively leaned against his chest and closed her eyes, murmuring quietly, "I honestly want to be smarter, but I don’t know why my brain turns to mush whenever I’m around you."
"That’s because I’m in your heart!" Yan Ting chuckled deeply.
"Maybe." Lin Banxia mirrored his soft laugh. But then, a very important thought suddenly crossed her mind. She grabbed Yan Ting’s large hand with her small ones and asked, "Yan Ting, can I borrow so money from you?"
