"You seem quite pleased with yourself?" Yan Ting raised an eyebrow slightly. "But I don’t think I’m your first love, am I?"
Banxia’s laughter screeched to an abrupt halt!
Yan Ting’s tone carried a dangerous edge: "I don’t care who your first love was, but you’d better erase every trace of them from your mory!"
Banxia’s shoulders twitched. So domineering.
"Already forgotten! Completely!" Banxia responded hastily, "Really, I’m not lying!"
Seeing her so obedient, Yan Ting finally felt a bit appeased. "I’ll co to find you tonight. Try not to check out those ssages."
"Alright, I’ll do my best! Hanging up now!" Banxia knew how incredibly busy he was during work, so she had no choice but to end the call first.
However, even though her words were full of agreent, the first thing she did after hanging up was to start browsing through those ssages.
Since her heart was now at peace, she figured she might as well stay updated on this news.
The internet was awash with wails of despair, as countless young won’s dreams were once again shattered by a single piece of news.
Much like the last ti, when her secret marriage to Yan Ting was exposed. Only, by the ti she had been outed, she and Yan Ting were already divorced, so the comnts on the internet back then were all celebrating her downfall.
But this ti, the Huo Family and the Chu Family were well-matched in social standing, and Chu Tingting and Yan Ting were the quintessential golden couple—perfect together. This crushed the hearts of countless won, who flooded social dia to mourn their soon-to-be extinguished secret crushes.
Banxia found the whole thing rather amusing. In fact, Yan Ting didn’t make many public appearances, and there were very few photos of him online. She couldn’t fathom how all these won had managed to develop crushes on him, let alone enshrine him as so kind of dreamboat they secretly adored for ages.
Banxia suddenly recalled a photo of Yan Ting she once stumbled upon online. It was taken at a banquet by soone who had managed to snap a shot of him.
In the dazzling lights, the man stood holding a glass of wine, conversing with soone. Perhaps it was the perfectly tid angle of the shot, but it captured Yan Ting’s stunningly handso features. Under the soft glow of the lights, his thin lips curved ever so slightly, and his narrow, dark eyes mirrored the crystal chandelier’s light. The entire image exuded an electrifying charm, breathtakingly irresistible.
Banxia herself had been entranced by that photo for quite so ti, staring blankly at it. Indeed, in front of the cara, Yan Ting possessed a magnetic allure that made people lose their minds.
In reality, though, Yan Ting in person was far more captivating than the man in the photo. Banxia had witnessed that... which was why, after her heart died the first ti, it was sohow revived by him again.
The long, arduous eting finally concluded, and Yan Ting returned to his office, where Qi Han was already waiting for him.
"Did you find out?" Yan Ting’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Qi Han imdiately reported his findings: "The information was leaked by Huo Qinglin. He hired a few online influencers to spread the news overnight."
"Huo Qinglin?" Yan Ting spat out the na word by word. "Why would he do that?"
"Not sure. Logically speaking, doesn’t he want your engagent with Miss Chu to fall through? Why would he add fuel to the fire instead? It’s truly baffling," Qi Han replied, equally puzzled.
Yan Ting’s expression turned dark. It truly was confounding.
He slamd the files in his hand onto his desk, then strode out with heavy steps.
anwhile, Huo Qinglin was sitting in his office, watching the online uproar and pondering sothing—or rather, soone. He couldn’t help but wonder how she would react to all this.
