"Hello, who is this?" Yan Ting held the phone with one hand, his noble body leaning slightly against the chair back. At the long conference table, more than twenty executives sat.
Each of them stared in astonishnt at the young and handso man at the head seat.
"It’s !" Banxia took a deep breath, but in the end, her voice was still small.
Yan Ting’s thin lips lifted slightly. His phone never stored strangers’ numbers, and he never answered any unfamiliar calls. But today, he had made an exception.
Simply because he knew, on the other end of that unfamiliar call, was the person he had in mind.
Yan Ting stood up directly from the conference table, ignoring everyone, and with his long legs, he opened the door and walked out.
Everyone was stunned. Since when did President Huo take work so lightly?
In the past, he was strict like a tyrant, leaving no room for any excuses or mistakes.
And yet now, during such an important eting, he was answering a phone call!
It was truly eye-opening. People thought that soone like President Huo would never bring personal matters into the company.
Although Yan Ting answered the phone in the eting room, everyone felt it was a good sign. At least, their President Huo was living on Earth and not in the skies, making him seem a bit more approachable.
"Did you see that news?" The deep, magnetic male voice carried a hint of tension.
Lin Banxia laughed at herself, "If I hadn’t seen it, why would I call you? Can you tell now what is going on."
"Yesterday, my grandfather ntioned at the dining table that he wanted to get engaged to Chu Tingting. I didn’t expect soone to make a fuss about it early this morning. Banxia, I didn’t call you to explain right away because I thought it wouldn’t affect our relationship. I won’t get engaged to anyone. I only want to remarry you." Yan Ting spoke with a heavy tone, yet it conveyed a very firm feeling.
Lin Banxia was stunned for a mont, then she continued to mock, "Mr. Huo, you overestimate . Without your call to explain, I’ve been overthinking all morning."
"Sorry, I planned to co over tonight to explain." Yan Ting, hearing her say she was anxious, had a slight smile in his voice.
"If you’re not getting engaged to Chu Tingting, can you get past your grandfather?" Lin Banxia couldn’t help but worry for him.
"If this hadn’t co out, I think I could handle it. I would clarify things with the Chu Family, but now with the negative impact, it might take so ti to deal with." Yan Ting’s furrowed brows showed his frustration over the matter.
"Wouldn’t it put you in a difficult position?" Lin Banxia asked softly.
Yan Ting felt instantly better hearing her concern, "No matter how difficult it is, I must refuse this marriage. I absolutely won’t spend my life with soone I don’t love."
"Ha, how fortunate I am..." Lin Banxia inexplicably felt brightened by his coaxing.
"Banxia, it was you who taught what love is! You understand?" Yan Ting’s voice beca unexpectedly hoarse.
Lin Banxia blinked, sowhat incredulous, "Don’t tell I’m really your first love."
"Yes!" The man answered her with utmost certainty, yet he dared not confess that he had been smitten with her since youth, fearing she would call him a beast.
Lin Banxia laughed with joy, feeling a small sense of pride, "I’ve heard that a first love is the person a man can never forget."
