Looking at her lowered little head, Gu Qianxi’s heart felt as if it had been scratched by a kitten’s claws, an inexplicable ss.
Lin Weiwei smiled awkwardly and said, "Qianxi, after dinner, can you take shopping? I want to buy a few pieces of clothing, and I want your opinion!"
Gu Qianxi nodded, his tone full of honor, "Sure, it’s been ages since I last went shopping!"
"With your taste in won, if you help pick so outfits, I’m sure I’ll find sothing really nice." Hearing Gu Qianxi agree, Lin Weiwei imdiately smiled brightly like a blossoming flower.
Sitting across from them, Tong Keke’s entire body went cold. Her small hands rested on her knees, and now her fingers tightened, clutching at her skirt, unsure of how to react.
Uncle is really going to accompany this woman to go shopping for clothes?
She wanted to burst into tears. Over the past three years, her uncle had never accompanied her to go shopping. He only ever transferred money to her card and let her go with her female classmates.
It seed that this Lin Weiwei held a special place in her uncle’s heart, at least much higher than her.
Were they in a relationship?
Tong Keke suddenly lifted her head, her injured, dark eyes staring blankly at Lin Weiwei.
She’s truly beautiful—gentle, poised, elegant. Is this the type Uncle likes?
Before, Tong Keke always thought she looked decent enough. But standing in front of Lin Weiwei, she realized that she was nothing but an underdeveloped, immature girl—completely incomparable.
"Uncle, I’m leaving now. You two enjoy your al!" Tong Keke really couldn’t sit there any longer. She feared that staying even a second more would lead to her losing control.
She might say sothing harsh to hurt the woman who clearly held imnse weight in her uncle’s eyes, and then end up making him upset again.
She didn’t want to beco soone rude and extre, so she chose to escape instead.
What you don’t see won’t hurt you.
Lin Weiwei froze for a mont, looking at the tightly clenched fists of the girl across from her, then glanced at the indifferent expression of Gu Qianxi and asked, "Qianxi, does your little niece have sothing else to do? She’s not eating with us?"
Gu Qianxi had already narrowed his gaze the mont Tong Keke stood up.
After hearing her say she was leaving, Gu Qianxi suppressed the faint irritation in his heart and whispered, "If you don’t want to eat with us, I’ll have the driver take you back to school first."
"No need, I feel like wandering around!" Tong Keke threw down the words, and almost fled toward the restaurant’s entrance.
Lin Weiwei shrugged slightly, puzzled, "Your little niece sure has quite a temper. Not wanting to eat with us is one thing, but why the bitter resentnt act?"
Gu Qianxi took a heavy breath he had been holding back, then turned his head to look at Lin Weiwei sitting beside him. "Weiwei, go ahead and order first. I just realized I forgot to give Keke sothing important—I’ll go talk to her for a mont."
Lin Weiwei was visibly displeased, "Qianxi, can’t you give it to her next ti? We finally took the ti..."
"It’s very important!" As Gu Qianxi spoke, his tall fra had already risen, and he strode out decisively.
Lin Weiwei suddenly felt the sting of being neglected. She bit her lip in frustration, annoyed, "Gu Qianxi, what’s the aning of this? You invite out for dinner, then leave here all alone."
Tong Keke had just stepped out of the restaurant when her tears began streaming uncontrollably.
