Lin Banxia froze upon realizing this. Oh no, had she co at the wrong ti today?
She had actually run into this woman.
"Are you going to tell what your relationship with Yan Ting is or not? If you won’t say, I’m going to kick you out. I hate seeing won sitting in Yan Ting’s office." Chu Tingting’s voice was both spoiled and domineering.
Lin Banxia secretly groaned. Of course, there was no way she could tell Chu Tingting the truth about her real relationship with Huo Yanting.
Judging by this woman’s aggressive attitude, she’d probably rip her face apart.
Just as Lin Banxia was grappling with her dilemma, the office door was suddenly pushed open with force, and a tall figure stepped in.
"Yan Ting..." A delicate, sugary voice followed imdiately. In the next mont, a figure wrapped in soft colors flashed past Lin Banxia’s eyes and threw itself into Huo Yanting’s arms.
Huo Yanting hadn’t expected Chu Tingting to fling herself at him so abruptly. He didn’t have ti to dodge and had no choice but to let her rub against him a couple of tis.
"Why are you back in the country?" Huo Yanting frowned briefly when he saw Chu Tingting, his voice tinged with indifference.
Chu Tingting pouted, her voice tinged with grievance as she said pitifully, "I got tired of being alone abroad and wanted to co back to see you. Last ti when you were on a business trip and passed by, you didn’t even co to visit ! Yan Ting, have you forgotten about ?"
Listening to her coquettish words, Huo Yanting unobtrusively pushed her away, his deep and brooding gaze landing on Lin Banxia’s small face.
Lin Banxia felt extrely awkward, yet she managed to maintain her composure. Even though another woman was clinging to Huo Yanting’s chest, she showed no visible reaction.
Huo Yanting had expected to see shock, jealousy, or anger on her face, but to his surprise, this woman actually gave him a slightly playful, ambiguous glance.
What kind of look was that?
For a mont, Huo Yanting felt an impulse to march over, grab her, and demand an explanation.
"I was in a rush on that trip, so I didn’t get a chance to visit you. Don’t be upset." Huo Yanting offered a bland explanation.
Chu Tingting, of course, believed him. She was convinced that Huo Yanting had simply been too busy to pay attention to her.
"Yan Ting, who is she?" Chu Tingting’s beautiful eyes turned toward Lin Banxia, who had just risen from the sofa.
Huo Yanting calmly replied, "She is my girlfriend."
With just this simple introduction, it was as if a massive storm had erupted within Chu Tingting’s heart. Her lovely face instantly paled.
Lin Banxia was equally startled. Her pretty almond-shaped eyes widened, locking onto Huo Yanting’s handso face.
Why on earth was he introducing her like that?
Chu Tingting was his childhood fiancée—wasn’t he worried she’d misunderstand or get angry?
"Yan Ting, what sort of joke is that? How could you possibly betray ?" Chu Tingting’s inner rage reached its peak, but she forced herself to remain composed, brushing it off as a joke.
Huo Yanting, however, responded seriously, "This isn’t a joke. She really is my girlfriend."
This ti, Chu Tingting was completely stunned. Her eyes, now sharp like daggers, fixed on Lin Banxia. "How could you steal Yan Ting from ? How could you..."
Lin Banxia froze in place. She wasn’t sure whether to explain herself or simply go along with it—at least she wouldn’t have to deal with this woman’s arrogance anymore.
Before Lin Banxia could speak, Huo Yanting had already turned a stern gaze toward Chu Tingting. "Tingting, don’t take it out on her. The decision to date her was mine."
"Yan Ting, how could you start dating another woman without waiting for to co back? You know we’re engaged..."
"That engagent—I’ll co to your house in a few days to formally call it off. Tingting, I’ve always seen you as a little sister. Please stop causing a scene here. Go ho." Huo Yanting’s tone was calm yet authoritative, leaving no room for argunt.
