The dragons were a proud and powerful race, so much so that they prevented intermarriage with any other races other than their own. They had a very strict law against it, and a silly excuse such as love would not be tolerated. Anyone who broke this law would be punished by death.

Unfortunately, when the Ice dragon clan leader, llin, witnessed that her daughter had broken their sacred law and had a child with a human, she couldn’t bring herself to actually do it. Instead, she banished and disowned her, stating she was never to set foot in Alucadia, no matter what situation she found herself in.

Unfortunately, this verdict was passed on the day the gods descended upon Alucadia and slaughtered the dragons. The weakening barrier that was cast above Alucadia only targeted the dragons, the races that served under them, and other inhabitants of Alucadia. Humans who were not inhabitants of Alucadia were not targeted.

Once this fact was realized, lkia, llin’s daughter, instructed her husband to take their child as far away from the forest as possible, to ensure they both survive.

As such, the man fled as far away as he could, arriving at the Leonheart Empire. There, he worked as an adventurer and raised his daughter, whom he and his wife nad Leina.

With the blood of the mighty dragons coursing through her veins, she was able to achieve remarkable feats in her lifeti. So much so that she was given a noble title.

She too had a family of her own, with a human no less, and just like any other mighty race that interbred with a weaker one, she t her end a few hundred years after her birth. However, that was not the only cause of her death; it was also due to the fact that her body couldn’t handle the sheer power of her draconic bloodline.

When a dragon ca of age, their bodies would usually awaken the dormant powers of their bloodline. It was these sa powers that allowed the dragons to still go head-to-head with the gods, despite the fact they were under the effect of a weakening barrier.

Normally, a dragon doesn’t co of age until they are at least 500 years old. However, due to the fact that Leina was half-human, her body matured faster, and she ca of age more quickly.

As Leina’s descendants continued to interbreed with humans, their lifespan continued to drop, and their coming of age happened even earlier, until it ca to the point where there was almost no difference between them and regular humans.

Another problem also arose as newer mbers of this half-breed bloodline ca into being; their bodies couldn’t handle the power to wield frost the ice dragons pride themselves in. The bodies of these half-breeds were more human than dragon at this point, and so could not handle such extre temperatures created with their mana.

As such, their bodies could freeze over while they wielded such power, turning it into more of a curse than a blessing.

And at this mont, Yandol was going through his coming-of-age process. He was only 30 years old, and this could be a sudden death sentence or perhaps a chance for him to gain enough power to turn the tables of this battle.

His core continued to glow, and it was getting increasingly harder to breathe with all the cold air that was emanating from it. His body began to freeze up, and any mont now could be his end.

"Playing statue now, are we?" Emily chuckled as she saw Yandol, still on his knees, simply staying in one spot, struggling to stay conscious as the air around his body seed to grow colder.

"Darn it, everything is starting to get blurry. I’m struggling to stay focused," he mumbled as he noticed his dwindling strength.

Yandol’s words echoed in his head.

"Is this really going to be how it ends?"

"I’ll die without even taking down this cruel demon commander?"

"I’ll leave my people to face such a threat all alone?"

"What about my dear, sweet Amillia, and our unborn son?"

"Am I going to let my son grow up without his father?"

He gritted his teeth as he then ca to the conclusion, "No! I can’t let this be where it ends. I’ll put an end to this demonic invasion. Afterwards, I’ll celebrate with my people, and then I’ll return ho to my family! That is the decision I have made, and that is how this battle will end."

As if responding to his will, his core shone even brighter, the glow now visible to all who battled around that battlefield.

In that mont, Yandol’s body began to undergo a remarkable transformation. His skin shimred with a silvery hue as white scales erged, spreading across his limbs. Wings unfurled from his back, majestic and powerful. His eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, reflecting the ancient power coursing through his veins.

As the dragonic transformation progressed, Yandol’s stature increased, towering above the battlefield. His frosty breath now echoed with the force of a dragon’s roar, sending chills down the spines of those who witnessed the amazing tamorphosis.

He had took a humaniod dragonic appreance, he couldn’t transform into a full dragon, because of his half breed bloodline.

The once weakened and battered lord had beco a fusion of dragon and warrior.

Yandol, now fully embracing his draconic form, spread his wings wide, casting a shadow over the frozen ground. The very air around him crackled with an intense mix of frost and magic. His eyes, glowing brightly, locked onto Emily, who watched in both surprise and confusion.

The guards, adventurers, and demons alike paused in their clashes, montarily all turned to look at the extraordinary transformation unfolding before them. Even Bellua and Zeki, engaged in their own battles, diverted their attention to witness the lord’s ascension into the legendary frost dragon.

In his imposing draconic form, Yandol gazed at Emily and declared, "It’s ti to finish what we started." His dragonic voice sent chills down her spine as the battlefield fell silent in anticipation. Experience more content on .Côm

Looking up at the transford lord with a mix of confusion and defiance, Emily questioned, "How did you turn into so sort of humanoid dragon?" Dismissing the question, she sighed and added, "It doesn’t matter. Regardless of your transformation, you were already weakened before, the fact is you still have low mana, and so of the wounds you obtained during our fight are still on your body."

Emily narrowed her gaze and added, "All because you beca an overgrown lizard doesn’t an you are going to win a losing battle."

Yandol’s dragonic voice echoed, "We shall see." In that mont, he opened his draconic maw and let out a massive frost breath.

Ti seed to slow down as Emily, noticing this, quickly used a massive amount of force to sidestep to the left, dodging the freezing attack just in ti.

As the massive frost breath hit the ground and so of the demons behind her, they were completely frozen. Including the buildings that were behind her, all were completely covered in ice.

After unleashing the attack, Yandol mused, "Just like she said, my wounds are still a hindrance, and indeed I am low on mana, so I have to end all of this as fast as I can."

Emily swiftly recovered from the side step, her wings creating gusts of wind as she ascended into the air. With a malicious grin, she summoned demonic energy into her hands, forming dark, swirling orbs. She threw these orbs toward Yandol, aiming for his wings to limit his aerial mobility.

Yandol, now in his dragonic form, beat his powerful wings, creating a fierce wind that dispersed the incoming dark orbs. He then ascended higher, trying to gain a strategic advantage. Emily, utilized her demonic agility to follow Yandol into the air.

The frost dragon opened his maw once again, unleashing a torrent of frost breath. Emily, with impressive agility, twisted and turned mid-air, narrowly avoiding the freezing attack. However, the icy breath reached the ground below, instantly freezing demons and structures in its path.

Seizing the opportunity, Yandol descended rapidly, his massive claws extended. Emily countered by summoning a barrier of demonic energy, attempting to shield herself from Yandol’s impending strike. The clash of dragonic claws and demonic energy sent shockwaves through the battlefield, shattering nearby frozen structures.

As the impact subsided, Yandol, using his tail, swept a wide arc, creating a frozen shockwave on the ground. Emily, caught off guard, was hit by the icy blast, montarily freezing parts of her wings. She winced but quickly regained control, breaking free from the ice.

Feeling the weight of his injuries and the drain on his mana, Yandol knew he had to finish the battle swiftly. He gathered his strength and accelerated his physical attacks. His dragonic claws glinted in the moonlight as he lunged at Emily, who skillfully dodged and weaved through the air.

Yandol swiftly repositioned himself and swung his powerful tail with a massive amount of force and speed. The tail, now a blur, connected with Emily’s abdon. The impact sent shockwaves through her demonic aura, instantly sending crashing down.

The force of her descent created a powerful shockwave upon impact with the ground. Massive cracks rippled all around the ground, a massive dust cloud coverd the area, obscuring the aftermath of the intense clash.

As the dust settled, Yandol, still in his dragonic form, cautiously approached the spot where Emily had fallen.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in the distance. "Seems father was right; he can’t let his grand plans simply rely on the hands of ’failed’ heroes. Seems I’ll have to step in."

Yandol swiftly turned around mid-air, and what he saw was the figure of a man dazzling in the moonlight. So of his hair was silver, the rest black. His eyes seemingly changed between purple and red, almost as if energy swirled within them. A pair of nicely carved white horns adorned his head. he was dressed in black, purple and gold attire, with golden accessories befitting royalty.
