Chapter 635: Coincidence

“Our current plan is simple.”, Adrian glanced at the trembling barrier and said through his consciousness.

“For such a formation to operate, it is bound to require some type of energy. By taking turns attacking it, we can slowly exhaust its reserves.”

“Then, when it runs low on energy and thus weakens, we will all use our trump cards to break through it. From then on, everything will depend on one’s own efforts.”

“Even members of the same race cannot be fully trusted.”

Adrian’s voice was calm and posed.

The “we” he referred to did not seem to only consider the human race. Rather, both the Zerg and the demons were included in this statement.

Despite what their previous confrontations would suggest, these people had already reached a silent agreement.

Just like the other races banded together to oppress the humans earlier, the three Apex Civilizations were now targeting the Mechanical Race.

Hearing his explanation, Liora nodded on the surface, a look of understanding flashing across her face.

It seemed that she found his plan reasonable and trusted his judgment.

But in reality, she strongly doubted whether it would succeed.

Subconsciously, she raised her head and took one more look toward the pavilion.

The longer she observed it, the stronger that feeling became, until the image of another building surfaced in her mind.

Heavenly Armor Pavilion!

Although the two buildings seemed distinct and their locations were pletely different, their appearances seemed to overlap for a brief moment.

She didn’t doubt her instincts. Rather, she tried to make sense of it.

“Could it be that the Heavenly Armor Pavilion is not a lone ‘shop’? Are there many of them?”, Liora wondered silently, her gaze settling on the remnant soul floating within the Cosmic Sea.

Following the Cosmic Sea’s earlier advancement and her ability to ignore the Will of the World’s erasure of the past, she had tried to interrogate the unknown powerhouse and learn more about it.

Unfortunately, her attempts had all resulted in failure.

Seemingly unwilling to speak any further, the soul had chosen to shut up, as though they wanted to conceal a certain secret.

“It seems that I have to intensify my efforts. If necessary, I can simply devour its soul.”

She had not done so previously because she suspected there would be techniques guarding their consciousness.

However, with the Cultivation Star allowing her to glimpse through the techniques she had previously collected, Liora was now far more confident in achieving her goal.

Every technique had its flaws. Once mastered, it could easily be cracked down.

While Liora was thinking about her next course of action, analyzing the information available to her to plan for the future, the efforts of the Emperors never stopped.

Just like Adrian had stated, the Emperors of the three civilizations took turns assaulting the barrier protecting the pavilion.

Even Liora was asked to take action several times, and she heeded that call.

In the end, everyone’s efforts seemed to yield results.

Several hours later, the barrier enveloping the pavilion showed some changes.

Its brilliance dimmed for a brief moment, showing that it could no longer sustain such heavy expenditure.

Under normal circumstances, the rational choice would have been to continue wearing it down until it pletely shut down.

But surprisingly, the Emperors leading the civilizations made a different decision.

“Now! Everyone, attack!”, they yelled in unison, urging the Emperors to employ their trump cards.

None of their panions hesitated.

At the exact same time, they all took action as agreed beforehand.

Dozens of auras erupted simultaneously, their momentum enough to cause a Venerable to collapse.

Under Liora’s thoughtful look, several attacks were launched.

Weapons. Abilities. Physical strength.

Everyone used their respective methods to strike at the barrier.

Liora looked thoughtful.

Then, she also struck out.

A golden light appeared in her hand, and she sent it flying toward the barrier.

Although her attack surpassed that of a newly advanced Emperor, Liora carefully controlled her strength to seem reasonable.

As such, her strike was lost amid the sea of attacks.

Only a handful noticed something wrong about her and glanced at her with faint envy, seemingly realizing the source of her power.

Liora ignored their eyes.

Her entire focus remained on the barrier, and she watched it slowly crumble under the attacks of the gathered Emperors.

Light fragments scattered in every direction, and the barrier looked ready to shatter.

Just then, a Mechanical Emperor inside took action.

An azure token appeared in its hand, and it activated it, controlling it to fly toward the formation.

As it approached, the formation seemed to have received a signal. It started mending itself, as though it had returned to normal.

Yet just as it seemed that the Mechanical Race had survived this misfortune, another Mechanical Emperor took action.

An azure token emerged in its hand and also fired forward.

But perhaps it was an accident, or perhaps it was the guidance of fate; the token’s trajectory happened to coincide with that of the previous one.

Not only did the two tokens fail to reach the barrier, but they instead collided with each other and flew away.

The first Mechanical Emperor’s expression froze.

A look of terror flashed on its face, and it attempted to protect the formation with all its means.

But by the time it took action, it was already too late.

A deafening cracking sound echoed through the pavilion.

Then, an explosion.

Under the excited eyes of the Emperors outside and the horrified faces of the Mechanical Emperors, the barrier shattered.

The pavilion was revealed to the outside world in all its glory.

Without the barrier to conceal it, the aura lurking deep inside it became even more prominent.

It seemed to be half a step beyond Rank 10, a power that should have been impossible to exist within the extraterrestrial battlefield.

Yet the danger did not dampen the enthusiasm of the invading Emperors.

If anything, it made them even more greedy.

“Kill the Mechanical Emperors!”

“Then, enter the pavilion!”, a shout echoed, and, as if in response, the brilliance of millions of lights engulfed their opponents.
