Chapter 607: River of Time’s Reappearance

It took several minutes until the concealment barrier around Liora and Elaouthr receded.

By the time it did, the ancient and majestic aura emanating from the demon’s body was nowhere to be seen.

In fact, Elaouthr had already fallen unconscious, his body slumped to the ground.

With that, the only person remaining awake in the entire hall was Liora.

Silence shrouded the room. The trial, which was supposed to have lasted for a while, had ended abruptly.

Or rather, all of its participants had met an untimely end.

Liora was now the only conscious participant, having finally regained her original form, casting off the disguise of a lizard demon.

It seemed that the winner had been decided.

As long as Liora demonstrated that she had pleted the puzzle within the trial hall, the mysterious figure would make her the winner and grant her the promised inheritance.

However, Liora did not rush to do so.

While part of her consciousness swept outward, ensuring that the figure did not appear, she took a step forward and appeared in front of the tentacled Emperor’s corpse.

Then, she casually waved her hand.

Cosmic dust fired out of her palm and swept around her, enveloping the mangled corpse and breaking it down into its purest essence.

Then, the cosmic dust assimilated it, bringing it into the Cosmic Sea as a means to expand its power.

The Predation talent activated on its own.

The Cosmic Sea expanded slightly. The Law Star that was the most patible with the tentacled Emperor received some benefits, and the worlds around it showed signs of life.

However, Liora did not stop there. She waved her hand once more.

This time, no cosmic dust appeared. Rather, billions of tiny pieces fired toward her and settled onto her palm.

They were the portion of the puzzle that the tentacled Emperor had been tasked with pleting. Following his death, this item had bee unowned.

For most people, it was a useless item. At most, it could be used to temper one’s soul and will through the experience of pain.

But for Liora, this was perhaps her biggest gain within the trial hall.

At her mand, the countless puzzle pieces entered her body.

They instantly materialized within the Cosmic Sea.

As Liora’s phantom appeared and pointed forward, they shot toward the recently born star exuding the aura of cultivation.

Once there, a powerful devouring force descended upon them.

The puzzle pieces, which had previously been indestructible, suddenly exploded.

Streams of light emerged from inside and fused with the star below.

The entire process was seamless, as that was how it should have always been.

Part of the empty star’s surface rapidly condensed.

In total, two-sixths of the star had now been pleted.

As a result, the Law Star’s aura grew even more obvious, while the sense of harmony in Liora’s heart grew stronger and stronger.

But things were not over just yet.

In reality, within the trial hall, Liora had appeared in front of the Zerg Queen’s remains.

A similar scene soon unfolded.

Her body parts were swallowed and used as nourishment for the Cosmic Sea, while the puzzle pieces under her control were forcefully fused with the Cultivation Star.

Then came the turn of the other demons…

It didn’t take long.

Only a couple of minutes later, the Cosmic Sea had undergone a subtle transformation.

But the most important difference was not in the sea itself, but in one of the stars.

The star exuding the cultivation aura now shone brighter than ever.

Illusory phantoms could be seen flashing along its surface, of people from the ancient past.

Some were men, others women. Some were old, and some were young.

However, no matter what their external appearance was, they all shared the same unique aura.

One of etherealness and transcendence.

It was as though these figures had seen through the mortal world and cut off their mortal shackles.

Had it been in the past, Liora would not have realized what this represented.

But now, it was obvious that this aura belonged to the cultivation civilization.

Moreover, the traits it showcased made her quite happy.

It reminded her of something. Of the Ancient Devils.

Such beings also possessed a similar aura of transcendence, as they had removed themselves from the River of Time and had thus transcended in the strictest sense of the word.

An idea slowly formed in Liora’s mind.

In reality, she opened her eyes and looked toward Elaouthr.

There, the last remaining puzzle pieces of the once plete puzzle could be seen.

Liora did not rush to take action.

Her agreement with the real Elaouthr surfaced in her heart for a few moments, and she nodded her head inwardly.

Then, her power enveloped those last puzzle pieces and let them settle into the Cultivation Star.

A thunderous explosion echoed within her mind, as the Cosmic Sea began to expand and contract continuously, as if breathing.

The Cultivation Star had been fully condensed. The Law hidden within the billions of puzzle pieces had finally appeared in its entirety.

Although the Cosmic Sea’s strength was extraordinary, this was mostly because of its high nature as the prototype of the Origin Sea.

In terms of actual stage, Liora’s strongest talent, aside from the Human Emperor Law, was far below the Ancient Devil stage.

But now, a plete Rank 11 Law had been born inside the Cosmic Sea.

Although it didn’t belong to this Era, its power and the changes it caused could be imagined.

In the outside world, Liora instantly sensed her strength soar at a speed visible to the naked eye. Whether it was her physical body or her demonic energy, they were both transforming at an astonishing rate.

However, these were far from the most important changes.

What Liora paid the most attention to was the change in herself.

She could sense an aura of transcendence flowing through her mind and then spreading through the rest of her body.

For a brief moment, she felt a sense of omnipotence, as if the entire world was under her control.

Thankfully, she quickly snapped out of it.

Lowering her eyes and staring at the Cultivation Star, where life was being born as heavenly materials and unknown beings began taking shape, she knew that the moment she had been waiting for had finally arrived.

In the trial hall, Liora’s real body raised her head and looked at the space above her. The ceiling of the hall seemed to tear apart.

Space itself cracked as if an invisible hand was clawing at it, causing an illusory river to slowly appear.
