Chapter 632: Chapter 630: Dragon Knight (Added chapter, seeking monthly pass)

Contracting with the Little Dream Dragon did not affect Russell’s current contract with the Shadowfla Dragon.

The Dragon Knight is the pinnacle of the Way of the Knight. In the Warm Age spanning five thousand years, Dragon Knights represented the ceiling of combat power.

There was no need to train, nor any room for advancent.

The strength of the Dragon Knight depended solely on how powerful the dragon itself was, so there was little difference between a contract of one day or ten years. There was no need for perfect ntal synchrony, or any kind of balance of the spirit.

Above his head, scales erupted, and a throne materialized.

With a light leap, Russell stepped through the void and walked step by step onto the head of the Shadowfla Dragon, turned around, and sat down perfectly onto the throne, just as naturally and adeptly as he had in the Amber Dreamland on the throne of the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon.

Boom!

A surge of power resonated within Shadowfla Volcano and magma churned, shooting up hundreds of ters, and gushing outward.

“Roar!”

The Shadowfla Dragon let out a high-pitched dragon roar. The power of the contract was completed in an instant, and its Dragonfla Power traveled through the contract, pouring into Russell’s body with a roar.

Looking inward at his power particles, what was originally five concentric circles now expanded by one, adding a new layer between the outermost and the fourth layer. This new layer belonged to the Shadowfla Dragon’s fla, enveloping the other powers, itself encased in the fla of the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon.

Six layers!

Each of Russell’s power particles was now composed of a structure of six concentric circles, extrely powerful and inseparable.

At this mont, Russell’s power surged once again.

He sat above the Shadowfla Dragon’s throne, his eyes fixed on the spewing magma, and stretched out his arm straight forward.

With an open hand, he made a grabbing motion in the air.

Whish!

The spewing magma was halted midair by his grasp, and only after he opened his palm did the magma continue its eruption after a few seconds’ pause.

“Power, I have reached the pinnacle in a single day!” Russell’s lips curved into a smile, “Shadowfla, let us depart and announce our fusion to the world!”

“Roar!”

The Shadowfla Dragon leapt upwards, riding the rising magma out of the volcanic vent. The draconic roar started from the vent, echoing throughout the entire Volcanic Oasis, and even spread to the Warm Enclave, eventually fading at the borders of the realm.

Circling, it revolved around the plu of volcanic smoke.

Russell revelled in the exhilaration of being a Dragon Knight, his spirit and body soaring through the clouds, overlooking the earth with scorn for the world of n.

“This is what it ans to be a Dragon Knight…”

He closed his eyes, letting the wild wind caress his face.

After contracting with the Little Dream Dragon, although he had also experienced the thrill of riding a dragon in Amber Dreamland, there was no audience in the dreamland, akin to traveling in splendid isolation. Only now, looking down at the countless mortals, did he truly feel divine.

In the warm lands of the Shadowfla Duchy, he was an absolute divine spirit.

“Co, show yourself!” Russell communicated with the Shadowfla Dragon ntally, beginning to display Elental Forging. The surging Dragonfla Power evoked the elental force’s most powerful form.

Flas spread far and wide as a giant descended.

Russell’s form soared, transforming into a hundred-ter-tall giant covered in a black-red armor through the convergence of elental forces.

Black for the Dragon Scale Armor, red for the fire elent beneath the scales.

The Shadowfla Dragon, too, expanded dramatically in size, turning into a super dragon hundreds of ters long, the knight and dragon in perfect proportion.

Crack!

Russell evoked the Sword Butterfly Amber Spirit, attempting to condense the teor Butterfly Sword, but the sword had previously proved unable to withstand the Rule Power and now showed signs of collapse under the onslaught of elental forces.

The power of the Shadowfla Dragon was still far superior to that of the Phantom Dragon.

“Ah, disperse, Sword Butterfly.” Russell shook his head in disappointnt, and the Sword Butterfly, crestfallen, reverted to its true form, sinking into Russell’s palm.

Surrounded by the flas of elental power, he used the Shadowfla Dragon’s strength to forge a hundred-ter-long black-red Dragon Spear.

Leaving the volcanic smoke column, he flew toward the direction of Cloud Dream Marsh Oasis.

He didn’t need to fly too high, which allowed him to overlook the people kneeling on the ground in homage. Unlike the Little Dream Dragon’s volcanic eruption, which went unnoticed, the contract with the Shadowfla Dragon was an earth-shattering event, celebrated by a volcanic eruption.

“His Highness has contracted with His Highness Shadowfla!”

“No, he is the King!”

“I do not know of the Ancient Dragon Knight, but the Dragon Knight is indeed the only one in my Shadowfla Grand Duchy!” Chief Steward Lord Kunbei, upon seeing Russell perform Elental Transfiguration and flying southward, was so moved that tears stread down his face.

He had served through three generations of Grand Dukes.

Witnessed the golden era of Quentin III Shadowfla, as well as the chaotic tis of Duke Kunstan Shadowfla, and now, at last, the rise of Duke Russell Amber Dream… Or more accurately, King Russell Amber Dream.

Shadowfla Grand Duchy not only ended the period of tumult and weakness but also returned to a mont of supre national strength.

Even far surpassing any previous period.

“It is Shadowfla Grand Duchy that needs changing its na,” sighed Baron Gevedas softly, with complex emotions, indescribable and inexplicable.

“So what, His Majesty made a pact with two great dragons, it is only right that we should elevate to a kingdom. Changing it to Dreamshadow Fla Kingdom is a matter of course… I just don’t know where the Volcanic Oasis opened up by the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon actually is.”

“Of course, it is within a dream.”

“Then is it real?”

“I do not know.”

No one could figure out what the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon was. A minister still held a copy of “Song of the Volcano,” hoping to ascertain the whereabouts of the Lost Dragon that rged with Sigruft, to speculate on what the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon might look like.

Alas, the epic was too vague and general, leaving it unclear whether the Lost Dragon was real or fictitious.

“What do you think, Captain Roman?” asked Baron Gevedas, inquiring of Baron Luo Man, who knelt on one knee beside them, awaiting the return of the Dragon Knight.

Baron Luo Man looked at the silhouette of the Dragon Knight fading into the sky, slowly stood up from the ground, and shook his head, “I know even less than you. If Roland had not inford , I wouldn’t have known His Majesty had already ridden a dragon.”

This son of his seed ever more mysterious.

The crowd discussed at length in the open ground of Red Castle, and by that ti, the Dragon Knight had already returned from the Cloud Dream Marsh Oasis.

He did not imdiately fly back to Shadowfla Volcano but hovered above Red Castle.

Russell knew that his vassals and subordinates were filled with doubts whether about Amber Dreamland or about the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon; they had no concept of either.

Therefore,

He was prepared… to reveal his divine nature in front of them.

“Shadowfla, let us together welco a greater power!” Russell silently communicated with his dragon in his heart.

The Shadowfla Dragon quickly responded, “Shadowfla anticipates this!”

“Then Ice Cream, descend!” Russell quickly activated the M-shaped mark on his palm, and in an instant, the sky changed color, winds surged and clouds billowed.

Boom, boom, boom!

Everyone below at Red Castle felt as though a trendous dragon’s roar reverberated within their hearts, not a sound heard with the ears, and yet more soul-stirring than the roar of the Shadowfla Dragon.

“Roar!”

Outside Russell’s black-red elental transfigured body, rules churned and then cloaked him and the Shadowfla Dragon in a suit of amber armor; even the black-red dragon spear was enshrouded in an amber casing.

Beyond Elental Transfiguration was Rule Forging. However, at that mont, “Rule-Forged Armor” seed a more fitting description.

In a flash,

The people at Red Castle, the populace of the Volcanic Oasis, beheld a vast amber apparition behind Russell and the Shadowfla Dragon.

It was the phantom of a Dreamscape Ancient Dragon, whose length stretched unknown kiloters.

The phantom was not as vivid as the Dragon Knight’s Elental Transfiguration, appearing sowhat dim, but precisely because of this, it highlighted the mystery of the apparition even more. Especially those amber dragon eyes, overlooking all beings with indifferent detachnt.

“My people!” Russell spoke.

His voice thundered, resonating through the entire Volcanic Oasis like a dragon’s roar: “I, Russell Amber Dream… will protect you, let no threat pierce my wings and co upon this land of warmth!”

Rumble, rumble.

It was not thunder, but the voice that echoed trumped thunder, resonating from above Red Castle, sweeping in all directions.

This was a divine decree from a god.

This was Russell Amber Dream’s promise to the citizens of the Divine Nation and a warning to the Frost Snow Giants lurking beyond the borders on the Snowfield.

“Long live His Majesty!” The people of Red Castle knelt and bowed their heads in salute.

“Long live His Majesty!” The people of Furious Wind City knocked their foreheads to the ground, reverent and joyous, praying sincerely from their hearts.

“Long live His Majesty!” Every nobleman, commoner, and serf in the Volcanic Oasis knelt to the Dragon Knight, the Ancient Dragon Knight in the sky.

Even the beasts groggy in the forests could not help but kneel, uncontrollably worshiping the Divine Spirit.
