Tang Moyu stared at the heavy wrought-iron gates that marked the entrance of the Feng family's estate. She watched as the driver entered the security code into the number pad and placed his thumb against the fingerprint scanner. She had to admit that the security here was stricter than what they used to have back at the Peach Blossom Garden.
"Moyu?" Li ili called out to her once they entered the spacious living area where the little buns were playing with their cousin, Lan Yinru.
"I need to make a phone call and get changed." Tang Moyu replied. "I'll be back."
She left her friends in her children's company once they returned to the Feng Mansion as she couldn't wait to tell Feng Tianyi. Lin Qianrou and ng Yanran would drop by to join them, but she would rather not waste ti and had already called her husband.
"Are you sure that's what you heard, Moyu? Was the voice familiar or was it the first ti you've heard it?" Feng Tianyi left the eting he was holding earlier to attend to this phone call from his wife.
The sudden move from the culprit was expected. but neither of them thought he would dare to talk to Tang Moyu so soon. Tang Moyu had never t or heard the voice before, and she was certain it was the first ti she heard it.
"No. I don't know him but it seems like he knows who I am to you, considering he called Madam Feng and not my na. He's warning us, but I won't allow him to hurt anyone from now on." Tang Moyu said with resolve. "Have you identified him?" She asked.
"Since it's only been an hour, we were only able to review the recording from the hospital. The hospital director confird that the man wasn't working with the hospital. Most likely he stole soone's uniform and pretended to be a nurse to threaten you." Feng Tianyi said as he reviewed the video he received a few minutes ago.
On it, it was clear that a man dressed as a nurse appeared behind Tang Moyu while others were making their way inside the elevator. Once the words were spoken, he pretended not to know who she was and stepped inside the elevator.
He looked like he was already in his forties with a slightly muscular built and tall stature. Feng Tianyi was certain he wasn't the missing guard as the two n had different heights and posture.
"So the man… do you know him?" Tang Moyu asked him but Feng Tianyi was certain that he had never t or encountered this man before. She would be able to rember such a deep voice if she'd t him before.
"No, but we will know the answer once Lianchen identifies him." Feng Tianyi said as he also pondered if he had seen or t this man before his accident.
Feng Tianyi knew that he made a lot of enemies in the past. If it was one of the people who lost their businesses because of them, he would never be able to forget them unless they were a relative of a person he offended before.
"Just don't leave without your security team, Moyu. He made a mistake by confronting you. This ans he wouldn't be able to hide for too long once we find out his identity." He assured his wife.
It was only a matter of ti before they could find that person. If he was truly the one responsible for Tang Beixuan's death, Tang Moyu swore that she would do her best to put him behind the bars for good.
"But ili and Sister Yaoyao…" She wanted to argue that they also needed to know the truth. That they would be in danger if they spent more ti with her until they could put an end to this issue.
"I already inford Lianchen and Zhang Jiren about it. They will send their own people to retrieve their wives later. I know you don't want them to be worried, Moyu, but it's important not to cause stress on the two of them, considering they are both pregnant. But if you're truly worried, I'll ask Lianchen and Zhang Jiren to talk to them later. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to keep a distance from us for a while."
Tang Moyu fell silent at that. She didn't want to keep her friends in the dark until they were certain who their enemy was, but she would understand if they kept their distance away from her for now for their own safety.
From where she was standing, she could hear Little Star's loud squeal as she saw Lin Qianrou arrive with her son and ng Yanran. Even Xiao Bao was pleased to see them.
"Moyu?" Feng Tianyi called out, earning a sigh from his wife.
"I'm fine. Qian and Miss ng are already here to join us for lunch. Are you joining us?" She asked.
"I hope I could," Feng Tianyi let out a dejected sigh, "but Fengyan and I have so business to finish here in Qing Tian before we could go back to Xiao Xing."
"I told you I can return to work now. Why won't you allow ?"
"Moyu, we've already talked about this, right? You aren't fully healed yet. Doesn't your shoulder hurt a little when you move?" Feng Tianyi argued. "Treat it as a short vacation, Moyu. You haven't had a decent one in ages."
But vacation was the last thing Tang Moyu wanted right now. If anything, she wanted to put an end to their problem and have a peaceful life with her family.
"Mommy! Mommy! Auntie Qian and Miss ng are here!" Tang Moyu heard her daughter knocking loudly on the study's door, trying to turn the door knob herself but failed.
"Go now, Moyu. Don't worry too much. I'll call you as soon as we find a lead on who the man is and where the missing guard went."
