"Moyu, can I have a word with you?" Feng Tianhua asked once the other shareholders left the conference room. Tang Moyu had remained seated on her seat, while giving her assistant directives.
His heart tightened inside his c.h.e.s.t as the empress gave him a cold look. Cheng Ning took the folders from the desk and excused herself, leaving the two behind.
"That's CEO Tang or Miss Tang to you, CEO Feng. Please be mindful of your address, we are not close." Tang Moyu said coldly.
Feng Tianhua was taken aback at this coldness. His expression stiffened a little. Though Tang Moyu was always indifferent towards him, she was never this cold. He tried to ignore this coldness and continue the conversation.
"You didn't seem surprised seeing today. You knew, don't you? " He asked Tang Moyu.
The empress crossed her shapely legs and rested her face on one hand as she regarded her unwanted guest. Her other hand lightly tapped the table out of boredom.
"A little bird inford that you will be coming today. My source is correct this ti." She said nonchalantly before her eyes fixated on him. "What are you doing here, CEO Feng? Shouldn't you be at Feng Conglorate instead of poking your nose into soone else's business?"
Feng Tianhua let out a low laugh and took a seat next to her. He had no intention of explaining his plans to her, at least not now.
"My brother also paid a visit recently with your daughter. Imagine my shock when I saw the two of them together."
The empress only humd. Of course she already knew about it. "So?"
Complex emotions flitted through his heart as he looked at the woman he onced hoped to spend the rest of his life with. But every ti he saw her, Feng Tianhua was reminded that they had fleeted away from each other.
"My brother… he's not a good man. Feng Tianyi is using you to spite , Moyu. You should be wary of him," he warned her, but Tang Moyu only laughed at his words.
"Him? Using ?" She chuckled in response. "Why didn't you think that it is the other way around, Feng Tianhua? I didn't know you were such a good man that you still care about your exes. Whoever I want to see and to date is none of your business." She reminded him. Since she wasn't happy with what the man said and the fact that Feng Tianhua blatantly ignored her warning to address her properly, she decided not to be courteous any longer.
"I know, I'm just warning you. He's bad news, Moyu. Haven't you heard? People are talking about him and ng Yanran. Why else would he hire ng Yanran, who's clearly inexperienced in the field?"
"And you are?" The empress challenged him. She didn't like that he not only insulted Feng Tianyi, but also the innocent ng Yanran, who was completely oblivious about her rumoured relationship with the devil. "Tell the truth, Feng Tianhua. Did you co here to put a leash on by using Tang Enterprise?"
Feng Tianhua looked away and cleared his throat. This ti, he couldn't look at Tang Moyu straight in the eyes. To be able to get hold of the empress, his only option was to acquire the Tang Enterprise and make it part of the Feng Conglorate.
"So who's using who this ti, Feng Tianhua? Don't spout nonsense like a hypocrite."
This ti, Tang Moyu's words were so cold as her eyes darkened. Saying this, it was obvious that Tang Moyu wasn't pleased with eting her boyfriend's brother today.
"Moyu, even if we couldn't be friends. We could be business partners, right?"
"Taking the companies I fixed right out of my hands. Feng Tianhua, did you get a habit of stealing the credit from ?" She questioned him.
"..." Feng Tianhua had no words to refute that.
Her eyes flashed with anger, but she had always been tolerant and composed even if the empress was angry.
"Your mother… I know you already know what she'd be up to. So long as I vote for you, Moyu, you would be able to keep your position at the company. If I decide to join her side, you would lose everything again." Feng Tianhua told her.
The empress only humd. Of course, she knew this, but she didn't like being blackmailed by anyone and that was what he was doing to her right now.
"Heh, and people say that I'm ruthless? Feng Tianhua, I'm clearly no match against you." She said sarcastically. Her smile of ridicule was like a winter scenery that was enough to make people freeze in their seats.
At this point, Tang Moyu had no other choice but to seek the counsel of the Tang family. The shares that her father owned hadn't been transferred to her na yet because of certain clauses that only she and Elder Tang were aware of. Not even Zhang Wuying could secure a copy or find out about its contents.
Once Feng Tianhua left the company premises, Tang Moyu told Cheng Ning to cancel all of her appointnts for the rest of the day and drove towards the law firm who handled Tang Lixue's last will and testant.
"Miss Moyu, I wasn't expecting you today." The old lawyer was surprised to see her in his office. Tang Moyu only gave him a polite smile.
"If it isn't inconvenient to you, I would like to have a look at my father's will."
The old lawyer had no choice but to let her see it. He took the old will from his files and gave it to the empress.
When Tang Lixue died, Tang Moyu wasn't around when his last will was read to the rest of the family. Even Tang Beixuan and Tang Wanyu weren't there, but had got so monetary inheritance from their father. But no one knew what the man left for his sole heir, Tang Moyu.
After reading it carefully, Tang Moyu looked at the old lawyer. She had heard about it from Elder Tang, but she didn't quite believe it the first ti.
"My father had decided to pass his shares for to inherit, but it would only take effect once I get married?"
"En, that is his will, Miss Moyu." The lawyer affird.
"The clause didn't indicate who am I supposed to marry?"
"It was already expected that you were to join the Feng family, Miss Moyu but yes, as long as you're married. The shares are yours."
