Li Yuanyi snorted. He had no other choice but to agree. Owning a VIP platinum card ant that Tang Moyu would be able to dine in any restaurants under the Li family without having any issues in setting an appointnt. Only a couple of prominent personalities within the country had it.
"Fine. As long as you can help locate ng Yanran." Li Yuanyi agreed easily.
It was better than being asked to give up one of his restaurants to the devil. Although he must admit that he was surprised to discover that the empress had the devil wrapped around her fingers. He also didn't expect that the two were in a relationship.
The two had done a good job in keeping their professional and private affairs away from gossip and prying eyes. If Li Yuanyi hadn't co here to et the devil himself, he wouldn't believe that Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu were together.
Anyway, he only ca here to ask the devil for another favor. It wasn't his business to question why the two were together.
"What do you plan to do once we find her? You know well that her divorce with Xu Wenyang's uncle was a nasty one. She wouldn't accept your help easily." Feng Tianyi asked, curious to know why Li Yuanyi still sought after a woman who was clearly not into him.
"I know. But I heard from ili that she'd been missing for months. Even Lin Qianrou has no idea where she is and how she's faring after her divorce. I couldn't ignore her no matter how much I try to convince myself that she doesn't need ."
Tang Moyu only listened and didn't say anything. Li ili had once told her that unrequited love was one of the most unbearable and exquisite pain one could ever experience. It was stubborn and persistent and could never be easily forgotten or ignored.
She couldn't imagine how painful and hard it was for Li Yuanyi to watch the woman he loved being abandoned by her own husband. It didn't matter if ng Yanran didn't marry out of love. No woman deserved to be betrayed and cheated by her own husband.
If Feng Tianyi hadn't loved her and she had allowed herself to fall for him, how tragic would it be for her to suffer in silence? Would she be able to pretend that she didn't have feelings for him? How painful would it be for soone who was ready to give the world for a person, only to realize he or she didn't want any of it?
Just as Li Yuanyi said, it was hard to teach one's heart to forget soone. He couldn't just stay still, knowing that ng Yanran had been missing for months. Although he knew that his parents would complain about it, he'd chosen to seek Feng Tianyi's help to find her.
"I just need to know where she is and if she's fine. As long as I can confirm that she hasn't done anything to hurt herself, I'll be fine." Li Yuanyi added.
Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu only looked at each other and didn't dare to comnt on it.
"I see. I'll call you as soon as I receive the report."
After their lunch, Li Yuanyi bid his goodbye and thanked the empress for her hospitality and for looking after his sister. Li Yuanyi rarely talked to his sister, but he was aware that she was with Tang Moyu, so he didn't worry too much about her. If anything, Tang Moyu had beco a responsible sibling to ili, soone he could never be.
"It's surprising that he was willing to go to this extent to find ng Yanran." Feng Tianyi comnted once Li Yuanyi was gone.
"Since when do you know each other?" Tang Moyu asked. She watched him pour himself a cup of tea while she played Little Star's hair, who'd fallen asleep on her l.a.p, while Xiao Bao was busy playing a ball with Hunter on the porch.
"I've already forgotten. Maybe a few years already. He asked for my help when he just joined Li Group of Companies and was striving to close a deal. He asked for my help. It cost him one of his restaurants, which he eventually bought back a few years later." He explained.
Tang Moyu didn't know much about her best friend's brother and hadn't expected that he was this persistent. How long had he been pining for ng Yanran? She shook her head. This had nothing to do with her or her children.
"If you were in his position, what would you do?" She asked Feng Tianyi instead.
"You an if you keep on rejecting ?" The devil arched a brow at her. "I didn't stop when you shot down the first ti, did I?" He reminded her.
"Yeah, just like him. You're quite persistent in a different way." She agreed with him.
"You can't get away easily from , Moyu. You know this. No matter how many tis you reject , you still won't be able to escape."
The empress rolled her eyes and adjusted her daughter into a more comfortable position. Unlike Xiao Bao, Little Star easily gets tired, so it was normal that she easily fell asleep while her twin brother still had energy left to play.
At least she didn't develop a fever while travelling this ti. Tang Moyu would have dropped everything to make sure her daughter would be fine.
"So the VIP platinum card? I didn't think you would ask him for it." She comnted.
"Finding ng Yanran is easy. She won't just drop off the face of the earth, Moyu. The VIP platinum card is nothing for Li Yuanyi. He knows this." Feng Tianyi said in defense.
ng Yanran had been one of the biggest social butterflies in Shenzhen, it wouldn't be easy for her to shed her persona and live under the radar. Whether she cos back or not, that would be a different matter. Only she can answer that.
