152 Lu Tianxin's Grievances 2
"No." She answered. "No one knew about it except for the attending physician who looked after Sister Yii."
The empress gave it a deep thought and considered the internal conflict Feng Tianyi had ntioned to her earlier. She cupped her chin and looked at her cousin curiously.
"Say, Tianxin. Has Ye Yii ever ntioned owning shares in their company?" She asked out of the blue, which confused Lu Tianxin, but Gu Yuyao's eyes imdiately darkened as if she knew what the empress was thinking about at that mont.
Lu Tianxin paused and tried to rember if her friend had ntioned anything about her family business.
"Sister Yii said she inherited a small share of Ye Corporation. I'm not sure if it was ten percent, but the profit she received was enough to cover her dical bills at the ti. Why, Moyu? Is there a problem?" She asked worriedly. Why would her cousin ask sothing like this?
"Moyu, it would be bad if any of the Ye family found out about Luo Luo's existence." Gu Yuyao comnted, which not only shocked Lu Tianxin but Li ili as well.
Seeing the serious expression on both Tang Moyu and Gu Yuyao, Lu Tianxin couldn't help but feel worried about her son's safety.
"Moyu, what's going on?" Her head turned to her cousin, then Gu Yuyao.
"Tianxin, you might not be aware of it, but there's an internal conflict going on in Ye Corporation. The board isn't really satisfied with their newly appointed president. At the mont, so of Ye Xiaozu's relatives are eyeing for his position." Tang Moyu tried to explain.
"Then what does my Luo Luo have to do with it? It is their own issue not ours!" Lu Tianxin frowned in confusion.
There's no reason for her son to get involved with the Ye family's issues. Wasn't this the reason why her Sister Yii insisted on preventing Luo Luo from being taken by her family?
"True but the fact that Luo Luo is Ye Yii's son would change everything. You might have not realized it yet Tianxin, but a ten percent share is significant enough to turn the tables within the company. If one of the Ye family found out that you've taken Ye Yii's child, they might cause trouble for you. I hate to see you and Luo Luo get dragged into their family conflict."
Tang Moyu was clearly bothered by the fact that Luo Luo might get hurt in the process. She didn't think any child deserved to be treated as a chess piece, to be used by their relatives.
Whatever they suffered in the past, none of their children should be subjected to that sa fate.
"Moyu is right, Tianxin." Li ili joined their conversation. "You have to know that so people could kill for money and power. It didn't matter if it was their kin. The worst scenario that can happen is they would take your son away from you and file legal cases against you for abducting Ye Yii's child."
Lu Tianxin gasped.
"What? That's insane! They can't do that!"
"They can. And they will." Gu Yuyao sounded annoyed. "You have no idea how easily the truth can be twisted when money is involved. Ye Yii had a share in the business, it's only natural for Luo Luo to inherit those shares, but since he's still a child, soone like a legal guardian could represent him. Do you understand now why your son's identity should be kept secret, not only from the public but from the Ye family itself?"
Lu Tianxin's shoulder dropped. Of course, she understood their concern. She also knew how hard it would be for her to take Luo Luo back if soone from the Ye family really decided to use him to gain advantage of his assets.
She wanted to cry at how unfair it was for Luo Luo. Why couldn't he grow up as a normal child like the rest, without worrying about that backstabbing family? The Ye family were the worst. They would rather swallow their own offsprings whole just to make sure they'd remain at the top!
Tang Moyu understood that it was hard for her cousin. She held Lu Tianxin's hand in hers and assured her.
"Tianxin, don't forget, you and Luo Luo aren't alone anymore. You have all of us. We're going to help you as much as we can, but you have to promise us that you'll stay strong for Luo Luo's sake. After this project with the Ye Corporation, you don't have to keep in touch with Ye Xiaozu if you don't want to. I'll make sure his concerns will end up either in mine or Yaoyao's hands."
"But if they found out about Luo Luo and take him away from …. Moyu… I don't think I can live without Luo Luo. He's my son!" Lu Tianxin cried out as she threw her arms around Tang Moyu's shoulder. Fortunately, the children were far enough that they wouldn't hear the conversation shared by the four won at the porch.
Why was her life so complicated??If she hadn't fallen in love with Ye Xiaozu and hadn't promised Ye Yii to look after Luo Luo, would she still end up pitiful and pathetic like this?
"Shhh… Tianxin, it's alright. I assure you. No one's taking Luo Luo away from you while we're here. We will protect the two of you at any cost. The Tangs aren't pushovers after all." Tang Moyu patted her cousin's back soothingly, but still allowed her to cry her heart out on her. It must've been really hard for Lu Tianxin to endure everything alone all of these years.
