"Allen, he actually ca?"

Hedica, standing beside Loranhir, murmured to herself.

She had completely given up hope on this matter.

After all, how could just a na and a location, without even ntioning the lich, summon such a proud holy knight?

Hedica knew all too well the arrogance of her forr comrade.

But Allen had indeed co.

Seeing Allen's reaction as if he had encountered his lifelong nesis, Loranhir couldn't resist making a sarcastic remark.

"So quick to arrive."

Was her na really that enticing to him? Like a dog following a scent, he ca running without hesitation.

But this was exactly the reaction she wanted.

At this point, Loranhir no longer hoped to clear up the misunderstanding with Allen.

This holy knight was as stubborn as they ca—trying to explain might just make things worse.

In that case, it might be better to let the misunderstanding run its course.

With this in mind, Loranhir had already decided on her next move.

All she needed was to give these brainless holy knights a target.

And that target was...

Herself.

"Is this all the people you brought to fight ?"

Standing between the two groups, Loranhir scoffed lightly, then deliberately raised her voice so both Oz and Allen could hear her clearly.

Then, suddenly, she shouted.

"Why don't you warm up with my army first!"

A long-suppressed tension finally snapped within her, releasing a wave of exhilaration. Her voice bood like thunder, full of majesty.

She spread her arms, her indifferent deanor as haughty as any true creature of darkness.

"Your army?" Allen was montarily stunned, but the overwhelming aura of evil from the surrounding undead horde instantly made him realize what Loranhir ant. "So you really are a lich?!"

Allen burst into ecstatic laughter. The chance to vanquish such a vile creature filled him with joy.

A holy knight could never turn a blind eye to evil. Since this false hero had brazenly summoned the undead scourge before him, this evil must be eradicated.

His plate armor, though dust-covered from the journey, still glead under the moonlight. His sword, radiant as the sun, struck relentlessly into the twisted bodies of the undead.

Until his holy light completely overwheld the lingering darkness.

"Just a lich? Today, I'll lead my n to destroy you!" Allen declared fiercely.

Wherever his sword flashed, the air rippled in its wake.

Watching this scene through the monitoring crystal, Oz felt its bones tremble.

If that strike had landed on its skull, its cranium would have been split open.

The holy knight's Divine Smite was just that overpowering—and the Layang Empire had entire legions of such holy knights.

"This is her army? She actually has holy knights under her command?"

Oz watched as this squad of holy knights shone like spotlights in the darkness.

They charged as one, holy light gathering on their blades. Their radiant swords slashed through the surrounding undead.

Ordinary undead stood no chance against the holy knights of the Layang Empire, utterly incapable of stopping their advance."Truly careless."

Oz's skeletal face showed no expression, but the ghostly green flas in his eye sockets flickered unsteadily.

He had to take matters into his own hands now.

Loranhir crouched behind an exposed rock formation, watching as the lich and holy knights clashed fiercely, completely unaware that she who had originally been at the center of the battlefield had already disappeared.

After a mont, she stood up silently.

"Good, this should be about right," Loranhir murmured. "It's ti we set off."

"Set off? To where?" Hedica stared blankly at the distant battlefield where the fight to the death was raging.

She clearly hadn't anticipated things developing this way.

Without changing her expression, Loranhir pointed at the Guardian's mage tower standing tall in the distance.

"To smash the lich's phylactery."

On the city walls, Patunasankus watched as Loranhir stealthily made her way toward Oz tower, leaving the battlefield behind.

Her vision and hearing were exceptionally sharp—it wasn't difficult for her to notice what Loranhir was up to when she focused.

"What are you standing around for?" Patunasankus suddenly said to Elaphia.

"...?"

Elaphia tilted her head in confusion, not understanding what the princess ant.

"Go help the hero," Patunasankus said.

"?" Elaphia replied. "But what about your safety, Princess?"

"Don't worry about . I'll stay right here, well-behaved and steady, not doing anything unnecessary," Patunasankus emphasized.

"But..." Elaphia hesitated, still uneasy, afraid soone might harm the princess in her absence.

The evil dragon finally grew impatient. Rolling her eyes, she reached out and pinched the soft flesh at Elaphia's waist, twisting it slightly.

"No buts. Go."

"Ow, ow, ow! Fine, I'll go, I'll go..."

Though Elaphia complained, she didn't show any resistance—in fact, the pain seed more like a reward to her.

"But you must promise , Princess Latifa, that you won't wander off on your own," she insisted seriously.

"Mm, I promise," Patunasankus nodded.

Only then did Elaphia finally turn and leave to find the hero.

Patunasankus glanced down at the gathering of refugees. Even with the holy knights engaged in battle, the refugees here couldn't avoid being caught in the crossfire. The stray undead alone were enough to overwhelm the ordinary people here.

Moreover, from what Patunasankus had observed, the holy knights didn't have enough manpower to eliminate all the undead and Bone Dragons. It was only logical that they would exhaust their holy power and stamina in battle before being defeated.

The evil dragon took so pleasure in seeing the holy knights struggle, but for so reason, Patunasankus thought of that three-year-old girl.

Damn it, wasn't her earlier behavior just coercion and bribery?

But the look in that child's eyes as she left...

There was sothing in that gaze that made Patunasankus recall how Latifa had once looked at her."All so damn persistent, just like you." Patunasankus spoke to the wind.

Perhaps she was talking to Latifa. Perhaps she was talking to herself.

She didn't know.

But she was no kind dragon.

Never had been.
