Patunasankus watched with a peculiar state of mind as her own softness and sensitivity were exposed once again. This ti, she completely surrendered to them, since she was powerless to resist anyway.

Fighting against certain aspects of herself would only lead to futile outcos, she reminded herself, while delightfully recalling Latifa's every gesture.

There was no escape—or perhaps she had no intention of avoiding it at all. It could be described as wholehearted resignation.

Such things, Patunasankus only dared to do quietly behind her back, not daring to let her see.

After all, the mont she faced her, she beca mute.

"You have a secret!" Serina enunciated each word deliberately, her childish tone slightly muddled.

"A secret? What secret?" Patunasankus was confused, unable to understand, so she turned to Isha for translation.

"Serina ans, Your Highness, you have a secret," Isha translated.

"I don't," Patunasankus imdiately objected.

"You do," Serina insisted.

"I don't, so I don't," Patunasankus mimicked Serina's tone.

"You do, you do."

"I don't."

"Oh."

Serina gave up the cycle of confrontation. She sucked on her index finger, and after a while, she laughed again. Patunasankus had no idea what she was laughing about.

"Do you have a secret?" Serina asked seriously.

Patunasankus couldn't keep up with Serina's train of thought at all. Noticing where the little one's gaze lingered, she finally understood and firmly tapped Serina's head as a punishnt.

"Ouch," Serina complained, clutching her head.

"It should hurt. What on earth is going through that little head of yours all day?" Patunasankus exclaid. "No sense of propriety!"

"There should be a sense of propriety!" Serina retorted. "I just wanted to see if you're qualified," she explained.

"Qualified for what?"

"It's... it's..." Serina hesitated.

"It's what?"

"Qualified to be my mom," Serina whispered softly.

"..." Patunasankus' mind took a mont to process what those two words specifically ant to her.

Like a complete fool, her mind suddenly flashed with a series of warm scenes of Latifa and herself taking care of Serina—a chaotic ss, like an electric arc that instantly scorched her entire brain.

Patunasankus' instinctive first reaction was no, absolutely not. She seed to instinctively elevate this matter to the level of whether a dragon could be responsible.

"Pfft—"

Isha covered her mouth, unable to hold back her laughter. One-third of that smile conveyed pain, while the other two-thirds were because Her Highness' reaction was unbearably adorable.

Patunasankus shot her head maid a dissatisfied glare.

Isha had no choice but to stiffen her expression and fall silent.

"No, absolutely not!" Patunasankus directly opposed.

"Mom doesn't want anymore. I'm an orphan now," Serina said with a dejected expression.

"...Since when did I beco your mom?" Patunasankus scowled, tilting her head to look at Isha with a aningful gaze, seeking an explanation.Patunasankus rembered this fellow wasn't so troubleso before.

"I showed her a dragon fairy tale book called 'The Little Evil Dragon Searches for Her Mother'," Isha shrugged, "and then she beca like this."

Isha truly wanted to know how to revert Serina back to the adult form she had only seen once. The current situation was far too exhausting. She also wondered how Serina would view her own actions once restored to normal.

"If this beautiful mother doesn't want , then I'm an orphan again. No, wait..." Serina counted on her fingers, speaking seriously, "I can have another mother! The black-haired mother who sent here!"

Serina bounced up.

"Where is she? Where is she?"

"Lord Patunasankus?" Isha murmured.

"That's her." Serina nodded vigorously, her gaze full of expectation.

Isha pondered for a mont.

Her master's whereabouts had been quite mysterious lately, and difficulty contacting her was the norm. When she t Princess Latifa again, she had tried to reach her master through communication, but as usual, there was no response—like a stone sinking into the sea.

The only one consistently available was Lord Liulan, but Isha had no intention of informing Liulan about the princess's return while Lord Patunasankus was absent.

The mistress might be stolen away.

Isha was nine-tenths, if not entirely, certain of this.

Such a thing must never happen.

The notorious reputation of Liulansankus, the grand collector of princesses, was known to all.

"I don't know, but one thing is certain," Isha shook her head, "an evil dragon like the Black Death is undoubtedly secretly preparing for so utterly wicked endeavor at this very mont."

"Preparing to beco a death wing that extinguishes a nation? Burning down the World Tree of the elves?..."

Isha listed a series of dragon-coveted evil deeds.

"In short, any of those are possible."

After so thought, Isha took out the invitation Liulan had sent recently, spread it on the table, and added:

"The symposium will begin in a few days. I recall this year's venue is... Perhaps Lord Patunasankus is preparing to attend the Princess Symposium? The master is a very busy and fulfilled legendary evil dragon, unlike ordinary dragons who have no ti to idle away drinking tea and admiring flowers."

"..."

Patunasankus set down the teapot, suddenly losing interest in tea, and reluctantly turned her head away. Propping her chin with both hands, her cheeks puffed up slightly from the motion.

She hadn't accomplished her proper business here, and it seed she wouldn't be able to free herself for a while.

She wondered how Loranhir and Elaphia were doing.
