"What kind of book is that?" Diyu asked in surprise.
"It’s just a random book I read," Shenlian Yingyue replied, "but my brother told that it’s the Book of Heaven, which records everyone’s fates." She flew to the field of spider lilies, her eyes fixed on the red flowers beneath his frightening gaze.
"Yue’er, stop!" he cried out, but it was too late. Her hands were already touching the red spider lilies.
"What’s wrong?" she asked, turning to look at him in shock. His scream had shocked her as well.
"You...do you feel sothing?" he asked hesitantly, pulling her away from the field of spider lilies and into the sky.
"I feel very good now," she replied, examining her own body. She seed fine.
Diyu’s eyes widened in horror as he gazed at the field of millions of spider lilies.
"Is there sothing wrong with those flowers?" she finally realized that sothing was amiss.
If a normal person, soone without any magical or divine connections, were to touch the Red Spider Lily, several possible outcos could occur. The person might fall into a deep and prolonged sleep, one that would be difficult to wake up from. The flower’s venomous properties could cause the person to beco ill or even poisoned. Alternatively, the Red Spider Lily’s strange and mystical properties could have a profound impact on the person’s mind, leading to vivid dreams, hallucinations, or even temporary ntal instability. In short, touching the flowers would be fatal.
In the past, even his subordinates and his imperial father’s won didn’t dare to co near these flowers without permission. Once, the strongest monster in the Underworld Realm ca to touch these spider lilies, and it was still poisoned and asleep to this day – two thousand years had passed since then.
"There is no book recording about this," she said with embarrassnt after hearing his explanation.
"Yue’er, it’s good that you’re fine," Diyu said, hugging her tightly with fear. If sothing happened to her, he would kill himself to accompany her.
"Can you touch these flowers, A’Yu?"
"I can. My connection to the world is strong enough to resist the flower’s influence," he proudly answered her. "I’m their king."
She smiled broadly.
"So, can I touch them again?" she asked, seeming to love the feeling of being wrapped by their fragrance.
"This..." He hesitated.
"I’ll be fine," she said. "You’re here, I won’t die." She trusted him.
The feeling of being trusted and relied on by his beloved woman was so good that the King of the Underworld Realm began to smile like a fool.
She flew close to them again, and carefully caressed one of the spider lilies.
The other red spider lilies gently swayed, spreading their petals and leaves as if they wanted to welco her arrival.
Seeing them behave like obedient pets, Diyu’s lips twitched. If other people were to see this strange phenonon, they would drop in awe.
"So, this is the Underworld Realm?" she asked, finishing her play with them. It was just her guess, and she didn’t expect him to nod.
"To avoid that devil from hurting you, I want you to cultivate here," he said. "Although the dark energy in this realm is too strong for humans to withstand, I know that Yue’er has a good place to practice."
He didn’t ntion the Ethereal Small World, but he knew she had it.
Last ti when he saw her at Crystal Bay, confronting a person from the Witchcraft clan, he was stunned when many people appeared and disappeared in front of her.
So of them were her contracted partners; he knew it, but so were not, and they all ca and went easily. The only possible explanation was that she had a portable artifact to hold living beings inside.
"So, you knew it," she nodded.
"How long do you think the Demon Emperor will return?" she asked, not knowing where the Mountain of Azure Dragon was.
"With that man’s strength, it would be a matter of ti," he said. "But if that lover of his has the ability to seduce him, who knows? He might not return to the Aquarius Empire."
Diyu curled his lips.
"I have sothing to do there," she said. "Can you give so ti before I stay here?"
She really wanted to adventure in this Underworld Realm, but she knew herself well that her strength wasn’t allowed her to freely do so here.
She didn’t want to rely on Diyu’s power to be here; moreover, what if his enemies here caught her and used her as his weakness to force him to do sothing? She would be his burden.
Staying by his side didn’t guarantee her safety, not to ntion that he had works to do.
Furthermore, she had sothing she needed to do. At least, she needed to complete all those things first before she left the Yellow Planet.
"A’Yu, please wait a minute," she said.
"{Pei Zhi, are you there?}"
"I’m here, what’s up?" Wang Pei Zhi stopped reading the book and hurriedly replied to her.
"Can you co out for a mont?"
"Okay."
Then, a handso man appeared.
"Wow, where is this? It’s so weird here," Wang Pei Zhi looked at the gloomy sky, the endless field of red spider lilies, the gloomy but tempting dark forests, and nature in surprise. This scenery didn’t exist in the Mortal Realm at all.
"This is the Underworld Realm," she said.
"Oh, it turns out to be the Underworld Realm," he nodded with a smile.
"What? What did you say?" Then, he exclaid in shock.
"Put away your reaction first. This is Diyu, the King of the Underworld Realm," she introduced them to each other.
"A’Yu, he is my best friend who always helps . He may be able to help ," she added.
Diyu nodded.
"What!! This person is the legendary King of the Underworld who used to go to the Demigod Realm to make havoc ten years ago?" Wang Pei Zhi shouted in horror.
Shenlian Yingyue: "..."
Diyu: "..."
She glanced at Diyu, who was innocently pretending to walk to the field of spider lilies.
"Do you have a way to contact Tai Hua Lei?" she changed the subject.
"Yes, he left sothing for before he left. He said if sothing happens to you, I must contact him imdiately," Wang Pei Zhi’s attention was finally pulled back. He thought back to Tai Hua Lei’s departure at the Golden Candle City.
"So, can you contact him now?" she asked.
"For what, Yingyue?" he asked back.
"I want to ask him for a favor. I want him to seduce Shen Xian... no, I an I want him to keep Shen Xian company for as long as possible," she said. She had never thought that one day she would ask him for help.
Wang Pei Zhi thought that he must have misheard. Could his good friend really have asked Tai Hua Lei, a man, to help seduce another man?
