In the bedroom, Luna glanced at the ti, furrowing her brows and muttering, "What ti is it already? Why isn’t Qiu Zi back yet?"
"Could it be she’s been held back for overti again, or did she swap shifts with a colleague at the last minute?" Leng Liewei said, leaning against the headboard with his glasses on, reading a book.
"She should at least make a phone call! Not a single call until now!" Luna spoke and suddenly thought of sothing, widening her eyes as she walked over to Leng Liewei, "Old Leng, do you think it’s because she knew Yichen was coming back today and felt awkward?"
Leng Liewei looked up at Luna, "Awkward about what?"
Luna pursed her lips, a bit embarrassed, and said, "Back then, didn’t I and her parents intend to set her up with Yichen..."
Leng Liewei chuckled, "You’re overthinking it. That was the plan back then, but soone needs to cooperate with you, right? Didn’t Qiu Zi run away from ho as soon as she heard about your plan? She didn’t have any intention at all. How could she feel awkward seeing Yichen? You think everyone is like you!"
Hearing Leng Liewei tease her, Luna rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Then where has that kid gone?"
Leng Liewei wasn’t worried, "She’s a grown-up, how could she get lost? Stop overthinking and go to sleep!" As he spoke, Leng Liewei put down the book, lifted the quilt, and lay down, preparing to sleep.
Luna stood there thinking, "I can’t, I’m still not at ease, I’ll call her again."
This ti, Qiu Zi answered the phone, sounding a bit tired, "Auntie, what’s up?"
"I’m asking, where are you? It’s so late, why aren’t you ho?"
Qiu Zi looked exhausted and said weakly, "An unexpected surgery was added, and there was no one else, so I had to take it."
"Was it your Director Ming again who made you do it?" Luna frowned.
