Bai Yiran looked at Leng Liewei, who had just undergone surgery and appeared particularly weak. The man who was once ambitious and spirited had completely turned into an old man after going through Leng Yichen’s incident and the surgery.
"Dad." Bai Yiran walked over, softly calling out to Leng Liewei.
Leng Liewei’s eyes found Bai Yiran’s, and the tears he had just held back flowed once again. "Yiran, is there any news of Yichen? Is he still alive?"
Bai Yiran’s gaze dimd slightly. "Dad, Leng Yichen is still alive. He won’t die, don’t worry."
Leng Liewei nodded, his weakened body starting to tremble.
Bai Yiran gently soothed him, "Dad, you’ve just had surgery, the doctor said you can’t get too agitated."
Leng Liewei closed his eyes in pain, then slowly opened them again. "There’s no news of Yichen now, and I’m in the hospital. The group must have gone crazy by now, right?"
Bai Yiran smiled, "No, everything’s fine."
Leng Liewei shook his head, scoffing, "I know what’s going through their minds, especially Old Shi and Old Lin. Those two have long been displeased with Yichen. When Yichen went out to find you last ti, they were already plotting to cause trouble. If I hadn’t stepped in to suppress them, who knows what chaos might’ve ensued." He paused, then looked at Bai Yiran, "Now with Yichen missing and hospitalized, they’re definitely going to hold a shareholders’ eting to discuss changing managent rights..."
Bai Yiran’s gaze beca deep. Leng Liewei was indeed correct; while he was undergoing surgery, that shareholders’ eting had already taken place.
"Now the Leng Family doesn’t even have a single person to stand up." Leng Liewei looked worried, "Right, Qi Hui, she has fifteen percent of my shares; she counts as a significant holder in Huai International and can speak up. Maybe getting her to step forward can delay things a bit."
When Leng Liewei ntioned Qi Hui, Bai Yiran’s eyes dimd but quickly returned to normal. Since he had just had surgery, his heart couldn’t bear any shocks, so Bai Yiran couldn’t possibly reveal Qi Hui had already betrayed the Leng Family.
"Okay, I’ll talk to Director Qi, don’t worry, Dad." To further reassure Leng Liewei, Bai Yiran also ntioned having acquired the shares Leng Yichen held, "So Dad, we have plenty of shares; those two won’t stir up any major trouble."
Upon hearing that his son’s thirty-five percent of shares were now under his daughter-in-law’s na, Leng Liewei’s expression changed slightly, then he sighed, "Ah, Yiran, you must wait for Yichen to co back!"
Bai Yiran knew what Leng Liewei ant by this; he was worried, worried that if sothing really did happen to Leng Yichen, Bai Yiran would rightfully beco the largest shareholder in Huai International. If Bai Yiran were to betray the Leng Family, the company would truly have nothing to do with the Leng Family.
"Dad, don’t worry, I will never leave the Leng Family."
Bai Yiran spoke with a determined expression, as if making a promise, more like swearing an oath.
Leng Liewei nodded, tears flowing from the corners of his eyes, "My son will surely be alright! Our Leng Family will certainly not fall!"
Qiu Zi stood quietly aside, watching Bai Yiran. She felt this woman had an exceptionally strong spirit; she had just attended the shareholders’ eting at the company, not knowing the result, yet she bore all of this alone, ensuring Leng Liewei wouldn’t worry.
Qiu Zi felt that Bai Yiran’s strength was sothing she couldn’t compare to.
