Billions of thin roots had already stopped growing at different points, and now it seed a new root was about to be born; the world tree floated in front of Alice, its branches spread for eternity and glowed with a golden glow.
The leaves of the world tree were full of energy; the tree looked majestic and brought a feeling of reverence to anyone who looked at it. Many eyes were filled with greed as they stared at the tree, but no one dared to move in the presence of the emperor.
"Oh?!! So a tree popped out to save her this ti, and quite a special one at that. Third, it seems you have accidentally brought a great treasure for ; with this, my strength will greatly soar and our universe will rise through the ranks.
I will reward you soon, and I promise to bring your strength to at least a two-star level." The emperor's face twisted into a wide smile; pus popped on his face as disgusting liquid flowed down.
Zendax, who was still staring at the tree in a daze while feeling pain all over his body, suddenly shivered and pressed his head against the ground as he spoke: "Thank you, my lord!!"
"Looks like your luck has truly outdone itself this ti; even I have never seen such a treasure in my long life," said the old man, stroking his beard for the first ti.
"Kakaka, thank you, Shaman lord; it seems like I might need your help in getting this thing," the emperor spoke while narrowing his gaze. There were a few things carved on the surface of the tree, but he couldn't seem to see them properly.
Around the tree, six lights were glowing; it was impossible to make out what was present inside them, but they seed like the figures of humans sitting cross-legged around it, deep in ditation.
"Let's see what the woman and the tree are hiding within them; I am going to tear them both apart at the sa ti." The emperor finally stood up, his expression turned slightly serious, and unlike before, this ti he planned to launch a strong attack.
He clenched his hand and turned it into a fist. Pulling his hand back, the emperor filled his fist with energy and finally, after a mont of silence, he shot it forward with almost all his strength.
A strong pressure descended all across the grand arena; the people felt as if they were about to suffocate, and the space began to crack under the force of the destructive energy that flew towards the world tree at lightning speed. The natural laws of the Topaz universe were much stronger than those of the naless universe, so even with the strength of the emperor at the 4-star level, the space only cracked but didn't completely break.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
A deafening explosion sounded with a blinding light as soon as the vast green energy struck the surface of the tree, but it struggled to break through. So the emperor pushed his limits and channeled even more energy without holding back his strength in the slightest as he released a roar.
Finally, under the destructive force, cracks began to expand across the large tree, soon covering its entirety, and as it absorbed all the destructive energy, the world tree finally exploded, breaking into tiny pieces.
The six lights present around the tree were thrown away as soon as the tree exploded; they fell onto the floor, and soon the figures of six won beca clear. Their faces looked pale, and they coughed a few tis as they opened their eyes.
The pieces of the world tree didn't travel far, as they were all sucked back into one tiny point from where the new root had started to grow. Under the shocked gazes of millions of people, the whole thing was sucked into that tiny point, and then there were no signs of the tree—neither its majestic branches nor the countless roots.
"What is going on?" the emperor wondered to himself as he stared at the barely visible point. All the destructive energy seed to have disappeared entirely—not only the one that the emperor had shot but even the colossal destructive energy that was present around the world tree and kept ending its roots; instead, only the creation energy remained.
"Huff huff. W- We finally ca out of that endless maze; I thought we would be stuck there for all eternity—the cycle of life and death, destruction and creation, the beginning and the end—it was an endless cycle." Joey spoke. She still seed dazed as she lay on the floor and stared at the foreign sky.
"Yeah, I never thought that just separating the world laws would beco so difficult and dangerous; we were re observers of the entire process, but it was quite terrifying," Evelyn added as she ran her fingers through her long red hair.
"Yeah, I still can't understand everything that happened. After we started, everything beca a ss. I just rember the strange process of birth and death of sothing. It kept happening again and again—dozens and dozens of tis every second. I tried to count but lost track at thirty billion," Luna spoke as she rembered that horrifying feeling, such dense death and life energy, even death itself couldn't scare her that much.
"But what exactly helped break the loop? And where exactly are we? This place doesn't seem like the space where we were before; even the energy here seems quite strange," Chloe asked out loud as all the other won finally noticed the changes in their environnt.
Their minds and bodies were aching, but with so difficulty they sat up and looked around and saw that they were, in fact, present on a large floor that seed to stretch over a great distance.
Not too far away from them, they saw Alice, who was on her knees with tears flowing down her cheeks, and several other won were lying around Alice, looking a little injured. There were other strong beings from the universe too, and all of them were looking back at them.
"It doesn't feel like we are in our universe. How did we end up in another universe? Wait—our entire universe was pulled here? Ughh, my head hurts from all the confusion; as if the mystery of that tree wasn't enough, now we are thrown here," Aurora spoke, rubbing her forehead as she sensed millions of gazes focusing on her.
"Ah, the tree has disappeared. What happened to it? Have our efforts been for nothing, or did we succeed in finally giving peace to Jayden's soul?" Sara exclaid as she looked up and didn't see a trace of the world tree.
The emperor stared at the six won with intrigue; this tree just kept getting more and more mysterious. He looked at the single point where an unknown amount of energy had gathered, and it seed a new tiline— a new root— was about to start right from there.
"What's happening there?" Luna moved her small, cute hand and raised it toward the sky, pointing at the dot that seed to be undergoing so major changes. All the eyes present were instantly drawn to it.
