"Kakakaka They just keep popping up like the small bugs that they are, I wonder how many other things will pop out after this.
A wisp of a soul ca out this ti, does this thing think it can stop ? Tch" the emperor's voice thundered, as he saw Jayden's figure rush towards the blades that were rushing towards Alice.
The ethereal figure waved both his hands at the blades, creating a loud explosion as the claws struck the greenish blade, sending ripples through the air. The faint soul was pushed back as it hit the floor, the energy blades shattering the claws.
But ultimately the blades disappeared as the soul once again floated in front of Alice protectively, glaring at all the people with murderous intent, though it already seed fainter than before.
"H- Hubby, don't!!" Alice scread, tears once again falling down her pale cheeks; she uselessly hoped that Jayden could return, but it was nothing more than a mory.
"Oh, it really did stop my attack, how surprising. Second, go ahead and take care of him imdiately, I can't wait to tear her limbs limb by limb." The emperor ordered as the figure, whose entire body seed to be made of electricity, bowed and then rushed forward.
The second general was especially proud of his speed; in less than a mont, he was right in front of the ethereal figure.
The wisp of soul only possessed a little amount of consciousness and could only use a little intelligence, but seeing the speed of the second general, it had understood that fighting against him directly would result in a one-sided slaughter.
Instead, he glanced back one last ti towards his family, and just as the general was about to strike him, the ethereal figure suddenly exploded, releasing all the destructive world energy that it had stored at once, pushing the entire brunt towards the second general.
"Tch. Desperate and cornered rats always tend to bite with all their might, useless struggle." The second general punched the space in front of him, shattering the wave of energy that was rushing towards him.
"How shaful, that little shit." Then he looked down at his hand and frowned, seeing a tiny cut that soon disappeared. He looked back at the emperor and then returned to his seat, sitting beside the crazed first general.
"Hmmm. Now what is going to be next? The more surprises that co, the better it will feel to finally be able to cut you down, haa I am salivating." The emperor laughed loudly as the entire crowd roared and cheered; they couldn't wait to see the countless deaths.
All the won felt their hearts shatter at the sight of Jayden's figure exploding; the pain and sadness ca rushing back along with the pressure of their current predicant. Everything seed hopeless.
Alice glanced around and saw that all the others were being pressed down onto the floor under the emperor's pressure; their bodies were injured, and they couldn't even lift their fingers.
The emperor's face had a twisted smile that almost made the pus and pimples on his face burst. He once again shot a slash of energy towards Alice, aiming to cut off her legs.
The power of this was slightly higher than the previous ones; he wondered if sothing else would co out to save her once more. He was treating the whole thing like so kind of ga.
Just as the emperor was about to shoot an even stronger attack towards Alice, he felt so kind of vibrations coming out of the naless universe that still floated high above the floor. A strange kind of energy drifted out of the barren universe, making the others surprised.
The old man who was seated beside the emperor and had shown no interest in anything so far glanced at the universe with interest.
He sensed different types of energy— spatial, ti, fire, and many more. The universe, previously almost drained of all energy, suddenly appeared to have endless energy.
"Oh, is the universe itself coming to save her now? Kakaka, what kind of surprise is awaiting now? Hmmm, what a strong energy; this is getting fun." The man made of poison jeered, laughing madly.
"Such intense energy and so much of it. Is this the birth of so kind of treasure? How did such a strong treasure end up in such a small universe? So, this has been the cause of air thinning all over the place lately, how enticing!!" the shriveled old man caressed his long beard and spoke.
No one made any moves as they waited for the revelation; soon, the surface of the barren universe began to vibrate with intensity, and cracks appeared as if sothing from within the space itself was tearing it apart.
Then, all of them noticed extrely thin lines moving across the space, moving outside the universe. It was very difficult to notice their presence, as countless thin lines wriggled out like snakes; the sheer number was at least in the billions.
The emperor narrowed his eyes as he focused his gaze on those things and sensed a large amount of ti energy flowing through each thin line. It was as if each line were a tiline in itself, flowing seamlessly across the space.
But soon he noticed that all the lines seed to end abruptly at different points. From what he could sense, so lines seed to end just after a few years while others covered over thousands of years, yet all the vein-like lines ended with extre destructive energy lingering at the end of each tiline.
'Hmmm? Out of all those lines, almost all of them seed to have ended except for a single one that still seed to be moving. I wonder what this is all about…' the emperor gazed at all this in confusion and interest. He was in no hurry to do anything just yet.
Suddenly, the one line out of billions that still seed to continue ended all of a sudden; at its end, all people sensed a large amount of destructive energy focused at just a single point.
The enormous amount of destructive energy was strong enough to end the tiline at just that point; even the emperor at the 4 star level found that level of energy threatening, yet it was only present at a tiny point.
Just as the tiline had ended, a new vein-like line was born and it began to move just like the rest. The whole scene was mind-shattering; it was hard to make sense of anything.
There was so much energy of different kinds and these strange scenes that no one was able to understand anything.
The universe continued to tremble as a silhouette of a tree beca visible, and then all of them saw that all these thin lines that held countless mysteries were nothing more than its roots.
The tree glowed with a blinding light and seed to possess an endless amount of energy. It flew out of the naless universe and its majestic figure floated in front of Alice. Everyone present stared at this wondrous tree with wide eyes, gazing at it from top to bottom.
