And yet, despite having already scanned the first half of Vanaheim, he could not find him. However, his eyes widened as he felt sothing, a small, painful spark.
The connection he had with his brother...
"Sangre?!"
He looked into the vortex. Sangre was there, in the depths where the three continents, two worlds, and one realm intermixed into an apocalyptic and chaotic "Singularity" that stretched all the way down to the Underworld.
"What’s wrong?" Benladann asked.
"Is he here or not?" Yuki asked.
"He’s in the vortex! But why?! What is that idiot doing now?!" Drake wondered. "Don’t tell he’s working for Oberon?!"
"If that’s the case, we’ll still have to stop him anyway, it doesn’t change much, Drake," Ruby said. "In fact, isn’t this better? We can kill two birds with one stone if he’s down there."
"I suppose you’re not wrong, Ruby... But I’m still concerned. I thought my brother was independent, that he bowed to nobody," Drake said. "So it makes no sense he would have allied with him..."
"Hmm..." Miranda crossed her arms, thinking. "Then maybe your brother, if he’s not so dumb... is trying to stop him?"
"Would he?" Drake wondered. "Brother..."
Drake gritted his teeth and tightened the grip of his hands. Whatever Sangre was doing, he was going to make sure to beat the crap out of him and force him to surrender, so as Ruby said, it didn’t really change much.
"So much destruction... I can hear the screams of billions of souls...! Ugh...!" Yuki suddenly fell to her knees, groaning as she grabbed her head.
"Yuki?!" Drake panicked, quickly looking at her and cradling her in his large hands. "Are you alright?"
"I-I...! Yokai, the specters... her cry! They’re there... everywhere...! So many people have died already, Drake!" Yuki started crying.
"Mama!" Yudra noticed her mother crying, calling her "mama" for the first ti.
The girl hugged her from behind, and suddenly, a little insignia of a bright, sunray-covered sun manifested behind her, glowing with red and gold light.
The light then covered Yuki’s body, comforting her anguish and making her feel better. The voices she heard, and their suffering weren’t as strong anymore.
"Yudra..." Yuki and Drake said at the sa ti, surprised by her power.
"Well, looks like this little girl is full of surprises!" Miranda laughed.
"Amazing, Yudra, were you able to soothe your mother’s anguish?" Androda wondered. "Well done, dear."
"Yeah, well done," Benladann nodded, patting her little head.
"Yudra... thank you," Yuki smiled, hugging her. "And you called mama too! Even in this situation... I guess I’m really happy to have had you."
"Heheh, mama!" Yudra giggled, kissing her mama’s cheek.
Drake smiled warmly. The situation was dire and desperate; the world was at peril...
But he knew that he had his family by his side.
He was not alone facing these things.
"Drake, I felt sothing. There’s lots of people suffering," Yuki said. "Down there it might not be possible for us to see clearly, but there are millions of monsters! There’s Mutants, Chaotic Beasts, Yokai, and it seems there are even so weird Vampiric Dragon Beasts, probably your brother’s creations."
"W-What? So he did make sothing..." Drake sighed, facepalming. "Are they all cooperating?"
"No, all of these beasts are actively killing one another. I think they aren’t allies!" Yuki said. "Another thing, there’s still a lot of people escaping or dying against their rampage... we have to do sothing for them!"
"I know, we can’t go directly, but I’m sending all the spirits I can create!" Drake said.
"{Spirit Creation: Divine Dragon Spirit Army}!"
FLAAASH!
Drake unleashed all his power, as hundreds of thousands, and then tens of millions, of divine dragon spirits erged, of all shapes and of all elents, rushing down through Vanaheim, beginning to fight the monsters, tearing them apart one by one and pushing their hordes back to the vortex, while saving and healing all those who were being affected, a lot of beast people of varied tribes and appearances.
He felt slightly sad because he didn’t have the chance to co here at another ti. He hoped to at least explore the place a little more, to get to know its people, but Oberon didn’t wait for him. He didn’t wait for anybody, and right now, as Fate was about to shatter at any second, he was going to destroy the world.
"I’m pushing them back!" Drake said. "This is working better than I thought, actually... my Divine Spirits are stronger than I imagined too, haha..."
Drake felt surprised as he suddenly started leveling up. The amount of EXP he was earning was enormous as millions of monsters were being felled by his creations. He even gained minuscule amounts of Archetype EXP.
With a thought, he quickly modified the System, giving an "EXP Share" effect to everyone present at the mont. Right now, they too started to suddenly level up.
"Woah! What’s this? I’m not doing anything..." Miranda said.
"I’m leveling up?" Benladann asked.
"Woah, dad, is this your doing?" Benladra asked.
"I feel stronger..." Kate said.
"Wow!" Drakda was amazed.
"Yeah, the spirits are killing millions of monsters as we speak," Drake said. "I don’t even know what the plan of Oberon or the others is with this, but they most likely were trying to harvest souls and power from all these deaths. From what I can assu, there must be a war going on down there, don’t you think, Augustus?"
"Hmm! Most likely! I can already sense them clashing," Augustus said. "Hahah, it seems that bastard Oberon didn’t think there would be so many opposing him! But at the sa ti, it’s not like those fighting him are on our side. They just want the world for themselves instead! The invaders are there."
"I see... Oda Nobunaga’s presence, I can feel it now," Drake said. "That strange dinsion he controlled is down there, in that temple we saw...! Yuki, can you feel the presence of your other half?"
"I can!" Yuki nodded, looking down at the faraway vortex. "Why is that bastard there?! How did he know he had to go there anyway?!"
"We will learn pretty soon," Drake said. "And-"
"Drake! There’s a giant tower in the way!" Charlotte suddenly said.
