"Hey! You guys are finally back. There’s Vanaheim over there!" Charlotte said, as everyone greeted her and then ran to the front of the ship with Charlotte right by their side.
They smiled as they saw the green forests covering the entire continent, the blue skies, the white clouds, and the gentle sun above. There were snowy mountains, and so areas were covered with fog as well. It had all kinds of wonderful ecosystems.
And also, there were all kinds of distortions in space.
"Shit..."
Drake looked at the skies further away. Giant cracks through space showed massive structures coming from other worlds.
A massive piece of land covered in Sakura tree forests and a massive ancient Japanese palace surrounded by a burning city covered by black specters, and a powerful presence coming from within.
Further away, massive skyscrapers surged from every point in the sky, mostly hanging down, and what seed to be a titanic mass of flesh and tentacles, with various eyes pulsating while surrounded by zombies, which it was eating.
The distortions in space resembled black spires surging from the ground. The beautiful green forests were further distorted by black curses and strange miasma. Holes leading to other Realms had opened already, constantly leaking foul black energies and chaotic energy.
All of that converged at the center of a massive vortex of darkness, flas, and oceans. Space was so distorted that Alfheim was not super far away but sohow conjoined into Vanaheim itself. The spaceti distortions sohow unified both continents. No, there was another.
Midgard, a land of grasslands, plains, savannas, and forests with mountains—the land where Humans lived in masses—was now fused into the vortex. All three continents created an apocalyptic landscape of pure chaos, as the vestiges of what these continents looked like only remained at the farther ends, as far away from this chaos.
The hole, this vortex, led deep into the world’s roots themselves as Drake and everyone else gasped.
"Holy fuck, what the hell?!" Miranda scread at first, and then everyone followed.
"T-The continents are rged?!" Alma asked. "W-What the fuck?!"
"I cannot believe my eyes...! Mother Yggdrasil’s voice had gone mute all this ti! Is she facing so sort of threat?!" Root asked.
"And I thought we were going to just fight Sangre today..." Yuki muttered. "My goodness..."
"Several presences everywhere... strong too!" Ruby said. "D-Drake! The other Venerables—several have already revived! They’re gathering in the sa space, further into the area where the continents are rging..."
"Master! This is really bad! I’m glad we ca with you now!" Surtr said.
"Indeed... w-we must do sothing!" Erald nodded.
Drake was thinking about many things, trying to keep calm as he saw the massive catastrophe that was occurring. He could even hear the voices of billions of souls in pain. Already a lot of people had died through all of this.
If only he had hurried up! Maybe if he hadn’t spent that night in Vanagate, he could have saved more... But there was no point in lanting what could have been. He had to do sothing now to save the future of this world.
And yet, the bad news had yet to co...
"Ah shit, he’s reviving already?!" Augustus was shocked. "Oberon is coming! I can feel his presence...!"
"Are you kidding ?! We just got here!" Drake asked. "What do you an the bastard is reviving?!"
"That vortex! He’s unifying the dinsional energies of all connected worlds and realms into a gigantic mass of cosmic power, a Singularity! He’s going to dig a hole through the world, get to Yggdrasil’s roots through Helheim, and then... he’ll do it, he’ll destroy the tree, and this world will collapse! We must hurry! We have no ti at all! Are Skadi and Belle ready?!"
"Almost!" Drake said. "An hour at most!"
"Fucking hell, can’t they hurry up?!" the dwarf grew restless. "Drake, we must get there as quickly as we can! Make this shitty ship move faster or I’ll throw you there personally!"
"Charlotte!" Drake said. "I’ll give you my power. Can you hurry this faster than we could fly on our own?"
"Of course!" Charlotte roared, her Aura surging as the faint specter of an Archetype seed to appear for a mont, resembling so sort of pirate captain. However it wasn’t yet fully developed. "Let’s gooooooo!"
RUMBLE!
Fuyu thundered through the skies, rapidly advancing through the clouds—hundreds of kiloters per second—moving faster than any of them could, thanks to Charlotte’s powers imbued into her body. She was incredibly fast.
"Is it all really happening already? I thought we had more ti...!" Drake thought as he glanced at the continent beneath. "No, we’ve had plenty of ti. If I’m not ready right now, I’ll never be...!"
However despite this, he still could hardly believe it. He had to calm down his mind and focus, even going as far as ditating a little, calming his concerns and remaining composed. At the sa ti he also grew worried about Sangre.
He had originally co here to finally confront him and stop him from whatever his brother was doing. After he stole the fragnts of the soul of the Vampire Venerable from his treasury and then announced he was the Demon King of Greed, Sangre flew away toward Vanaheim, probably to enact so kind of plan.
He expected the worst, so sort of calamity that his brother had caused, perhaps the death of millions... However there was sothing even worse, made by soone else entirely.
However he still couldn’t discard the possibility that Sangre might have had sothing to do with all of this.
"Sangre! Where are you?!"
Drake transford into his draconic form. While riding Fuyu’s gigantic body he roared into the skies and below, summoning hundreds of thousands of Dragon Spirits and sending them flying down to scan the entire continent.
"Brother! Sangre!"
He spread his voice through most of the continent as they moved toward the vortex, and at the sa ti he did his best to analyze the surroundings and expand his Aura and Venerable Senses as far as he could.
