Athyst’s Archetype awakened at the very last mont, fusing with her body and reigniting the light she had lost, her body overflowing with light, as her sword was reforged with her new powers.
"RAAAAHHHH!"
She roared furiously, a second before being eaten, as Umbral realized he had committed a terrible mistake.
"WHA...?!"
SLAAAASH!
His face was split apart, as Athyst’s sword cut through it, and then the rest of his body, rapidly cleaving down his entire being.
"UUUAAAAGGHHH?!"
Umbral scread in horror as his soul and body could not regenerate, radiant golden flas devouring him from the inside, turning him into ashes.
"IMPO...! IMPOSSIBLEEEEEEEE!"
In disbelief and horror, he attacked Athyst with his claws, as he was being sliced apart, his soul leaking out, resembling countless black tentacles covered on red eyes.
But at that mont, Athyst activated her Archetype’s Skill!
"{Vengeful Dawnstrike}!!!"
FLAAASH!
A gigantic tower of pure light surged from her sword, rushing down and slicing through Umbral horizontally, cleaving him apart into four pieces.
SLAAAASH!
"AAAAARRRRRGGHHHHHH!"
Umbral couldn’t believe he was dying, as the endless bright light that he had tried to protect himself against this entire consud him, both body and soul!
"IMPOSSIBLEEEEEEEE...!"
The golden flas and light gathered as his entire being erupted into a massive explosion, disintegrating him completely.
BOOOMMM!!!
Umbral’s Demon King Heart disintegrated, the Sin of Envy ended up disappearing as a result of Athyst’s imnsely powerful attack of light.
A Skill designed exclusively to destroy Umbral, once and for all.
"She did it... Hahaha..." Drake laughed, looking from the skies as Athyst finally finished off Umbral.
"She really did it..." Yuki smiled, nodding. "Wow, what’s that Archetype though? A literal dragon?"
"It’s... I think that’s her mother..." Drake said, he could hardly believe what he saw just now. "
"Well done, Athyst!" Benladra said.
"You did it!" Kate nodded.
"Yeah!" Drakda roared.
As the children cheered from below, Athyst looked at her Archetype, its light slowly fading away.
"Is that really you, mother?"
"..."
However, there was no response, as Athyst realized that despite everything, her mother was indeed dead right now...
The Archetype might have been born from her wishes, but it was now a separate entity.
She looked down, sighing.
But at the sa ti, she felt happy, smiling.
She shed a few tears, as she raised her hand, catching the other half of Jord, which then rejoined with the other half, which was purified, but sleeping.
"Jord, it’s ti to wake up... I did- no, we did it."
FLAAASH!
Jord’s two halves, after many years of being apart, finally reunited.
Jord’s true power surged, as the figure of a goddess made of bright golden sands and light manifested.
"Eh? Huh?! My powers... Athyst?! Did you...?"
"It’s done."
"No... no way! Umbral is dead?! I... what happened to ?"
"You just went for a little nap, don’t worry about it."
"..."
Jord was shocked, her little Athyst was now all grown up, even her aura, and how she spoke was different.
The dragon girl that had lived for over a hundred years...
It seed she had finally matured.
"You look a lot like your mother..." Jord smiled warmly at her, hugging Athyst. "Well done..."
Athyst contained her tears as she was hugged, hugging Jord back while smiling a little.
"Hey Jord..."
"Yes?"
"What do you think happened to my mother now?"
"Huh?"
"Her soul couldn’t go to the Draconic Records because Umbral used her to make Soul Gear, but now that he’s gone..."
"I... don’t know. We’ll have to check the Draconic Records later."
"...Yeah."
Athyst sighed, holding upon the faint hope that perhaps...
That perhaps...
Maybe...
She could be there.
But she decided not to feed herself with false delusions.
There was a big chance that her mother wouldn’t even be there after all.
But she knew that at least her wish, a part of her mother, was with her now...
Her Archetype was born not just from her own heart, but also from her mother’s wish, even after death, to protect her daughter.
For Athyst to never feel alone ever again.
As she slowly descended to reunite with everyone, Drake sighed in relief.
"It’s finally over, eh? That Umbral bastard was a real tough nut to crack, but well, Athyst got the spotlight, and that’s a good thing," Drake nodded. "This was always her battle after all."
"You did well hold back," Yuki laughed. "You can’t trick though, I’m sure you pretended to be sent flying away by Umbral..."
"Eh? Hahaha... I would never do that..." Drake looked elsewhere. "Umbral was still pretty strong, okay? It wasn’t an act, that bastard as a Demon King, Yuki!"
"Sure..." Yuki said. "Yeah, I an, how strong would you say he was?"
"Hmm... I don’t want to say anything," Drake said, sighing.
He thought that if he compared foes it would simply make Athyst’s feat lesser than his own.
And he would never really want that to happen.
Umbral also had a fragnt of Chaos.
If he didn’t have one himself, he would have surely struggled as much as he did with Chaos, but when wielders of the sa fragnts clash, their powers tend to nullify each other to an extent.
So Umbral was never really able to use his trump card completely because of that.
"Drake!"
Suddenly, he heard Benladann’s voice, as Drake looked behind him.
"Huh?!"
And he gasped in disbelief, finding sothing strange right there, which he had not detected before.
But he quickly ca to the realization that indeed, such an attack wouldn’t be able to destroy it.
The thing in front of him was a floating specter-like fla, made of curses shaped like black and purple runes, and crimson eyes.
It was small in size and rather bizarre looking.
But this was...
"One of Chaos’ Fragnts, huh?"
It was the Fragnt that Umbral possessed.
The weird thing was that it didn’t just beco another version of Chaos or sothing and simply remained there.
Was it because it detected one of its fragnts within Drake?
Or maybe another reason entirely...
"You want to stay with ?"
