Athyst struck Umbral from the left, and Drake from the right, pushing the giant dragon down into the white floor, as celestial light encompassed him, burning through his body.
"GRAAAAHHHHH!"
Umbral scread, his body burning agonizingly, only for his powers to suddenly warp and twist, even with Celestia on his chest, a large red eye appeared on his chest out of nowhere...
TRUUUM!
Space started to beco distorted and warp, as the Domain created by Celestia began to rapidly crumble! Drake and Athyst attacked Umbral with their weapon, techniques, and magic, constantly cutting through his body while the dark dragon attempted to shatter the domain with his powers.
"RAAAHHHH!"
With a roar, Umbral created a crack through space, where a black sea of curses and miasma erged, and millions of Yokai Specters erged, roaring.
"W-What’s that?!" Athyst was distracted by what she saw.
"Don’t look at it!" Drake said. "Focus on Umbral! Yuki, it’s your ti to shine!"
A portal from Drake’s Divine Realm opened out of nowhere, as Yuki from all people erged. She rushed into the skies, her eyes glowing bright red as dark powers started flowing through her.
The Curse she had absorbed back then, the Tear, and the calling of her true body within this other dinsion... she decided to beco the one responsible for taking care of it.
Yuki alone faced thousands of Yokai...
No, she wasn’t alone, as the White Tiger, the Black Tortoise, and the Ice Phoenix erged from her body, her Celestial Beasts created in her past life, boosting her power through the roof.
"You, specters born from my own death, begone!"
FLAAASH!
From her fluffy paws, bright blue, silver, and golden light surged, the specters were instantly consud by it, disappearing into particles of light, tiny soul fragnts, flying back towards Yuki and feeding her with more power.
She rushed towards the crack, and to Umbral’s shock and disdain, she rapidly started to seal the crack that would have beco his last hope.
"NO! DAMN IT! STOP THAT!"
Umbral punched Athyst and pushed her down, breaking through the chains of the domain using his raw power, and then kicking her away, rushing towards Yuki.
"Uughh! Bastard...! You damn...!"
Athyst groaned, feeling one of her arms and her legs broken, alongside her wings...
Drake rushed to heal her, only for Umbral to manifest giant spheres of void, sending him flying away.
"You think you can touch ?!"
In that split second, Yuki roared, as she unleashed a shockwave of bright light and frost, pushing Umbral back and making him get close to Athyst again.
"DAMN IT! PERHAPS I SHOULD HAVE A SNACK BEFORE I CONTINUE THIS FIGHT!"
He glared at Athyst, opening the jaws of his main head, and using his claws to grasp her small body.
"Ugh...! No...! No!"
Athyst scread, as she saw the maws of Umbral open up, and her small body fell down...
Yuki and Drake’s eyes widened, as both rushed to save her.
However, they were a second too late...
"Athyst!"
Jord cried, trying to help her fly away, but she had already been affected by Umbral’s curse, her jewel darkening, her powers wavering and weakening until her voice was gone.
Athyst was once more... alone.
"Why...? Just why... We were so damn close..."
"Damn it..."
"Mother..."
"I... couldn’t avenge you..."
"After all..."
"I’m alone..."
Athyst saw bright white light as her eyes beca blind for a mont.
Suddenly, she felt sothing.
"Eh?"
A pair of invisible hands grasping her and pushing her towards the light.
"W-Who...?"
Athyst’s eyes widened, as she realized there was soone else with her.
A gentle voice suddenly spoke to her, as she felt a white radiance encompassing her.
The dark void maws of Umbral disappeared.
"You’re not alone, my dear child."
"Ah...!"
Athyst’s eyes widened.
In that mont, she heard her...
"You’ve never been alone..."
The bright light cradled her, pushing her farther and farther into the skies...
"You will never be alone."
"A-Ahh...!"
Athyst’s eyes watered, as she started crying.
She instantly knew who it was...
But how?
How was this possible for her to speak to her?
Even though her soul didn’t even appear in the Draconic Records?
"I will always be with you... my dear daughter."
"Mother?!"
Athyst scread, as the light shaped into the form of a radiant light dragon covered on golden scales.
Her eyes glowed with blue light, as she smiled gently at her daughter.
"Thou, who treadest the thorn-bound road..."
"Thou, who speakest with the goddess, and dwelleth ’neath the burning sands..."
"Thou, my precious child, who toilest each day with steadfast heart..."
"Thou, whom I yearn for beyond all asure..."
"Thou, who hast ne’er ceased thy struggle—for thy truth and thy fla..."
"O daughter mine, whose gleaming scales rival thy father’s own light..."
"O cherished one, whose eyes outshine the golden sun..."
"Thou, my beloved Athyst..."
"Awaken!"
In that mont, Athyst realized what was happening.
Sothing within her was awakening, and her mother had co to help her with that.
Athyst then realized what it ant to accept her own suffering, embrace her own anxiety, and turn her fears and struggles into power.
Golden veins glowed through her body, as Drake’s eyes widened, he saw everything.
His powers rushed towards the girl, as sothing within her awakened.
Athyst furrowed her eyebrows, gritting her teeth as she fell into Umbral’s maws.
And then, she pierced her own chest with her claws, tearing off her glowing, crystal heart.
"UMBRAL!"
Her roar echoed through the heavens, the entire Domain shattering apart.
Bright light of rainbow colors erupted from her body, as sothing within her awakened.
The aura resembling her mother suddenly turned physical.
Its ethereal form gains countless plates of gold and silver steel, her eyes glowing with blue light, sharp horns of gold and silver.
Her chanical wings spread out, made out of sharp blades.
And yet, the spiritual and ethereal being beneath the armor could still be seen, roaring at Athyst, and entering her chest through the wound.
FLAAASH!
"I am the light that shineth amidst shadow, the sentinel of the ek, the herald of righteous reckoning. I am she who beareth the fla of vengeance divine, the bane of thee, fell demon king!"
"And lo—I am the one thou didst strike down... risen anew, made flesh in mine own daughter’s spirit and might."
