This couple was once a model pair in Hollywood that fans envied.

But in the end, they couldn't escape the fate of separation.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet's relationship hit a crisis in 2020. According to court docunts, the two separated on October 7, 2020, due to "irreconcilable differences."

In the separation announcent, Jason Momoa stated: "We've all faced unprecedented pressures during this ti, and my family is no exception. We've grown through major changes, so we've decided to publicly announce that we're going our separate ways."

In 2024, the two officially divorced.

Rumors claid the reason for their divorce was Lisa Bonet's infidelity, and the other party was a woman.

Of course, these were just rumors, with no proof found yet.

Jason Momoa remained silent on the reasons.

Lisa Bonet, however, said: "Separation doesn't an we don't love each other."

Actually, you could spot so clues.

At the ti of the divorce, the two didn't go through legal proceedings, and the asset division was smooth—Lisa Bonet evenwaived alimony. Keep in mind, they hadn't signed a prenup. If the fault lay with Jason Momoa, Lisa Bonet should have gotten a hefty sum.

There's also a passage in Jason Momoa's separation announcent that's thought-provoking: "We've both felt the pressures of the changing tis, a revolution unfolding—even my family hasn't been spared. We've learned and grown through life's major shifts, and we've decided to part ways in this marriage."

"Changes," "the changing tis"—could this be hinting that after the rise of the feminist movent, the pull crowd no longer needed to hide their sexual orientation?

Alright, enough gossip.

Now, in 2017, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet were still that enviable model couple.

Lisa Bonet's daughter with her ex-husband, Zoë Kravitz, also adored this stepfather who gave her a father's love.

At this mont, she waved the newspaper in her hand and rushed excitedly to Jason Momoa, who was pumping iron, shouting: "Stop working out—look at this! Casting for Aquaman has started. This role suits you perfectly: tall, muscular, and with long hair. You don't even need to worry about your hair. You have to audition."

Jason Momoa set down the dumbbells, smiled, and ruffled Zoë Kravitz's little head. "Aquaman has blond hair—I don't fit, do I?"

"What's hair color got to do with it? The yers Films casting ad doesn't ntion that requirent. Besides, if it doesn't work, you can just dye it blond."

Jason Momoa felt a stir of interest and took the newspaper to look it over.

...

Martin was inspecting the completed sets.

The dreamlike forests, wetlands, lakes, and other scenes had all been built in the studio.

Assistant director Sofia followed behind him.

Another assistant director, Jas Wan, also trailed Martin as they toured the finished sets.

"Martin, is this Aquaman going to continue the dark style?" Jas Wan asked curiously.

Martin shook his head. "No, this ti I want to make an underwater Avatar, an underwater Pandora. I want to show the audience a vibrant, colorful underwater kingdom—Atlantis."

"In fact, I think revealing a unique, unprecedented Atlantis world and other underwater wonders is crucial for this film."

"Like Avatar, like Gravity, I want to satisfy the audience's curiosity."

"This movie will spend most of its budget on special effects, so for actor selection—pass on those overpaid big-na stars. 'ra the Sea Queen' goes to Amber, 'Queen of Atlantis, Aquaman's mother' to Nicole. The rest of the roles will be cast through open auditions."

In Martin's mory, the main reason for this film's success in the original tiline was that Jas Wan created a fantastical underwater world for viewers, comparable to the "planet Pandora."

The dazzling, magnificent scenery of Atlantis's main city could even confuse space and ocean.

All sorts of stunning underwater architecture and swimming sea creatures made viewers feel like they'd crossed the boundary between water and sky in a second, arriving at a stellar ocean.

Seahorse cavalry, shark cavalry, and all kinds of ocean beasts tearing into each other...

One mont it's high-tech armor, Atlantean laser cannons; the next, pulling out cold weapons like tridents, dieval gladiator arenas, one-on-one duels...

And there's that scene where Aquaman's mother Atlanna battles Atlantean soldiers at the lighthouse—simply pushing the violent aesthetics of cold and hot weapon combat to the extre.

chs, spaceships, kings, and subjects—these anachronistic concepts visualized on screen. Wouldn't people think that if ancient and modern truly combined, the beauty couldn't be greater?

The biggest challenge in making Aquaman from start to finish was designing a world never seen before, completely unlike real environnts.

And what that world would look like was largely limited by imagination.

Fortunately, Martin wasn't short on imagination—especially since he'd lived in the divine and demonic continent, which was infinitely more fantastical than anything in Hollywood films.

In Martin's view, Aquaman was a typical entertaining-to-death comrcial blockbuster, with virtually no depth, stimulating only the viewers' eyes and adrenaline.

The whole story mixed elents from fantasy films, sci-fi, horror, adventure, action, magic, romance, monster movies, epics... all sorts of genres, yet it didn't feel chaotic.

Thinking of this, Martin couldn't help glancing sidelong at Jas beside him. This guy's truly a master-level comrcial director.

....

Casting for Aquaman began.

And unsurprisingly, Martin still chose Jason Momoa to play "Aquaman."

But for Jason Momoa, this was a huge surprise.

His manager was equally stunned by the result.

Even after getting the notification, he instinctively asked Jason Momoa, "Dude, what did you do?"

Jason Momoa: "I didn't do anything."

Then the manager snapped out of it—regardless of whether Jason Momoa had done sothing or not, the role was his, and he'd make a fortune.

"Dude, this role's yours—you're gonna be rich!!!"

Jason Momoa was excited, puzzled, and grateful.

"Ah, Martin's really a good guy."

anwhile, our good guy Martin was having sex with "Aquaman's girlfriend, and mom."

Nicole: "Ah, you're such a big bad wolf."

Amber: "You're even more ripped than 'Aquaman.'"
