Chapter 4: Wu Jing Discusses What It ans to Be a Real Man!

“Who is it? Why don’t I know?” Yang Fan looked confused. Why wasn’t he notified about such an important matter?

“You’re just back, I didn’t have the chance to tell you yet.”

“Co, let’s go et your beautiful partner.” The director smiled with a mysterious expression.

Other hosts gathered together, all shocked.

“Oh my god, the director wouldn’t actually let that intern go on, would he?”

“This is a special interview with the best actor with billions in earnings and movie king Wu Jing. Sending a host from the satellite TV station would be acceptable, but an intern from the radio station? Is this a joke?”

“Who told Hao Yue she’s so lucky? She hasn’t even officially started, yet she bumped into Wu Jing at the airport. We can’t compare to that.”

“Speaking of which, Hao Yue is a good intern. I was there for the interview with the director. Her overall quality was pretty high.”

“Even so, she’s still just an intern.”

“True. If they send Hao Yue with Yang Fan, Yang Fan will have a headache.”

At that mont, Hao Yue was handling her entry paperwork. The director dragged Yang Fan over and excitedly said, “Yang Fan, do you recognize this intern?”

Yang Fan smiled instantly: “Isn’t this the girl I saved at the airport?”

When Hao Yue heard soone ntion the airport, she couldn’t help but look back. When she saw Yang Fan, she covered her mouth in surprise and eagerly rushed towards him. “Wow, it’s you!”

She originally thought she might never see her benefactor again after their chance encounter at the airport. She didn’t expect the heavens to be kind, and she would et him so soon!

The director cleared his throat and said seriously, “Hao Yue, from now on, you’ll be working with Yang Fan. If you have any questions, ask your ntor Yang Fan.”

“Okay, Director!”

“Also, from 2:00 to 4:00, it’s your ntor’s show. Stick close to him, listen more, talk less, and learn well, understood?” The director said seriously.

“Understood!”

“Hello, Sir. I’m Hao Yue, a graduate of the dia University. I hope you won’t think I’m dumb.” Hao Yue said, blushing, very happy.

She would definitely follow her ntor closely and never cause him trouble!

Yang Fan looked Hao Yue up and down—she was tall, elegant, and graceful. He said, “Alright, once you’ve completed your paperwork, co to my desk. I’ll assign you so tasks.”

“Okay, Sir!”

Wu Jing arrived at the radio station at 1:30.

After a brief discussion with Yang Fan about the interview details, at exactly 14:00, Yang Fan’s talk show began.

“Hello, listeners. Welco to Mango Life Radio, FM89.3, at the sa ti every afternoon.”

“I’m your host, Yang Fan.”

“And I’m your co-host, Hao Yue.”

“Yang Fan’s Talk Show, now begins!”

Yang Fan didn’t even rember how many tis he had said the scripted opening. But for Hao Yue, who was hosting at the radio station for the first ti, she was extrely nervous.

As Yang Fan spoke, he gently patted Hao Yue’s back, signaling her not to be nervous.

“Have you all noticed? I have a new female partner.”

“Yes, we have~”

“Hao Yue, let’s introduce yourself to everyone!” Yang Fan said with a smile.

“Alright, listeners, hello! I’m your new friend, Hao Yue. You can also call Yue Yue!” Hao Yue said, her palms sweating from nervousness, but her voice was strong and not at all shy.

Yang Fan chuckled and asked, “Did Yue Yue get permission from Yue Yunpeng ?”

“This Yue is not the sa as the Yue from Yue Yunpeng (well-known Chinese codian). This is the Yue of the moon, not the Yue of the mountain!” Hao Yue replied.

“I see!” Yang Fan and Hao Yue playfully exchanged words, and they finished introducing Hao Yue.

“Today, not only are we welcoming my partner Hao Yue, but on Yang Fan’s Talk Show, we are also fortunate to have the movie king, Wu Jing!” Yang Fan said.

“That’s right!” Hao Yue responded.

“Mr. Wu Jing, say hello to everyone!” Yang Fan said, watching Wu Jing, who was looking around the studio.

Wu Jing smiled, his face full of wrinkles, and said, “Hello, listeners. I’m actor Wu Jing. I’m very happy to be a guest in Yang Fan’s live studio!”

“I’m also very honored to interview Mr. Wu Jing.”

“Mr. Wu Jing, before we start the interview, we gathered so questions from your fans online.”

“Now, we have selected a few of the most asked questions. Are you ready to answer them?” Yang Fan asked.

“Sure.” Wu Jing replied.

“Alright, Mr. Wu Jing, one fan asks: “As the first-ever Chinese billion-yuan movie king in the entertainnt industry, which of your works do you consider your best?” Yang Fan asked.

“For personally, I hope it will always be the next one!” Wu Jing said confidently.

Hao Yue chid in with enthusiasm, “Well said!”

Yang Fan smiled and continued, “Mr. Wu Jing, another fan asks: “As a man widely recognized in the industry as a real man, what do you believe characterizes a true gentleman?”

Wu Jing thought for a mont, then said, “In my opinion, whether a guy is a real man or not has nothing to do with how handso, ugly, pale, rich, short, rough, or poor he is!”

“The true asure of whether a boy is a man, whether he’s a real man, is: responsibility, accountability, and the sense of security!”

“If you have those, you are a real man!” Wu Jing said with certainty.

Yang Fan nodded, agreeing.

Wu Jing seed to have more to say and continued, “There’s a misconception though. Just because you play a tough guy in a movie, doesn’t an you are one!”

“You know, those young actors with long hair, thick makeup on their faces, bright red lips, long lashes, and eyeliner!” Wu Jing said, rolling his eyes.

He was thoroughly enjoying this intimate interview, with no audience or dia watching.

This way, he could roll his eyes whenever he wanted without holding back—this was truly enjoyable!

“But when I went to Wenchuan (county in Sichuan Province), I saw a group of young people, so even younger than these actors. They were wearing military uniforms, their hair ssy, their faces dirty, and their bodies stank.”

“They were sleeping on the side of the road, covered with raincoats, lying on the ground while sleeping.”

“They were eating instant noodles, drinking mineral water, and using their own bodies as bridges for the public to walk over. I thought, this is what it ans to be a real man, this is what it ans to be a true man!”
